"Jaybirds of a Feather" is the 28th episode of the fourth season of Pepper Ann. It aired on February 25, 2000.

Synospsis[]

Pepper Ann is excited when Moose joins the Junior Jaybird Girls because she was in the group once and is in the running to be Moose's sponsor—until she discovers that she never got her last badge and must join the Junior Jaybirds in order to get it.

Plot[]

Pepper Ann discovers that Moose is joining the Junior Jaybird Girls and she happily offers to be her sponsor. Upon arriving however, she discovers that she is not a full fledged Junior Jaybird as she bailed on getting her last ribbon because Burger Fortress was having free fries that day ("It was the only dayeth!"). Wanting to be considered a true member, Pepper Ann offers to rejoin the Jaybirds to get the last ribbon, though she must start over from scratch and recollect her ribbons.

While Constance becomes Moose's sponsor, Nicky becomes Pepper Ann's, though she also admonishes Milo for wanting coconut cluster cookies from them due to their unhealthy ingredients. Pepper Ann proceeds to rush through all of the ribbons while tiring out Moose and her new friends and refuses to slow down for them as she wants to prove herself. As Milo is shocked to learn that they discontinued coconut clusters in favor of low fat vanillaroos, Pepper Ann finally is down to doing the go kart derby, the ribbon she missed out on, and plans to use her old kart.

On the day of the go karts, Pepper Ann's kart swerves and collides with Moose's, destroying both of them. Pepper Ann admits that she messed up, but Moose points out that she also forgot that the point of being a Jaybird was to have fun and that she forgot that. Pepper Ann comes to her senses and helps fix up the kart, but lets Milo finish it instead of her, despite having to wait another whole year before she gets the ribbon again. As Pepper Ann and Moose make amends, it is revealed that Milo and Nicky love the new vanillaroos.
