Gyanxi is a boss enemy within the Zombies mode of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III featured in the map, Operation Deadbolt. It is a hidden boss in the third Dark Aether Rift.
Background[]
Gyanxi is an Elite Disciple that resides in the Dark Aether. To summon Gyanxi, players have to complete all three Dark Aether contracts while in the Rift, then destroy three Rift Spores located around the main island in the Rift zone, then destroy a fourth Spore (named Rift Heart) in the center of the island. Gyanxi will spawn immediately upon destroying the Heart.

Gyanxi possesses similar attacks as regular Disciples. Similar to Taoxia, Gyanxi is able to enter an invincibility phase, while it summons Manglers and Mimics to fight the players. Gyanxi remains invincible until these Manglers and/or Mimics are killed.
Upon killing Gyanxi, it will drop a Reward Rift containing high-tier loot items. On the first defeat, players will also unlock the "Smoke Signals" RAM-7 blueprint.
