Apothic

Apothics are equipment items that can be used on Shrines found in any Grineer Forest mission.

Their blueprints are obtained by progressing through The Silver Grove quest.

Usage[]

Upon locating the shrine, players must anoint the large stone altar on top, which will consume the Apothic and summon a specter based on the Apothic used. They must be equipped in the gear wheel to be used; up to 2 of a single type can be equipped at a time and they are exclusive to other Apothics, so up to 8 specters can be spawned in a single mission.

Specters have a minimum level of 25, and gain 3 additional levels for every specter spawned.

• The Dusklight Sarracenia can be found in swampy waters in Grineer Shipyard missions, which are most commonly found on Ceres.
• Both Moonlight Dragonlilies and Sunlight Threshcones can be found on Grineer Forest missions on Earth, however the Moonlight Dragonlilies can only be found during the tileset's nighttime phase, and Sunlight Threshcones can only be found during the daytime phase.

• Moonlight Jadeleaf can rarely be found on the Grineer Forest tileset on Earth, but only during the tileset's nighttime phase.
• Ruk's Claw can be commonly found on the Grineer Settlement tileset on Mars, usually on walls and corners.
• Lunar Pitcher can be commonly found on the Orokin Moon tileset on Lua, either in vases or amongst the rubble.

• Sunlight Jadeleaf can rarely be found on the Grineer Forest tileset on Earth, Usually in watery areas, but only during the tileset's daytime phase.
• Frostleaf can be found in large batches by cliffs and valleys on the Corpus Outpost tileset on Venus, Neptune and Pluto.
• Vestan Moss can be found scattered on rocks or shadowed areas on the Grineer Asteroid tileset, commonly found on Mercury, Zeugma on Phobos, Saturn, Uranus and Sedna.

Tips[]

• An Oxylus with the Botanist mod makes collecting ingredients for Apothics much easier in general.
• Resource Boosters work on plants.

Trivia[]

• The word "Apothic" shares its root with the Greek "apothéke" which means "repository" or "warehouse". The Romans took the derived "apothecaius" as a loanword meaning "shopkeeper" which in modern languages transformed into what in English is "pharmacy" (e.g. "Apotek" in Danish", "Apotheke" in German). The ingame depiction of a vial likely alludes to that.
