Freddy Fazbear is the eponymous main antagonist of the Five Nights at Freddy's series created by AIEchidna, co-written with Cypris and FathomsBelow68.

He is a big, bipedal animatronic bear that guises during the day as a friendly, loveable companion, but becomes a sadistic, bloodthirsty murderer at night, revealing his true colors to the world and flatout abandoning the guise in later installments. He is the archenemy of Michael Afton and Jeremy Fitzgerald.

Personality[]

During the day, Freddy guises as a joyous and loveable character, being filled with energy and joy to the kids he performs to.

Whenever he's alone or it's night, however, the guise completely changes to a sadistic and crude bear.

Unlike his canon counterpart, who was somewhat tragic, this Freddy is sadistic and bloodthirsty without remorse. Also unlike his canon counterpart, Freddy can recognize the various night guards and even call them by name, showing he is aware that the night guards aren't criminals, but chooses to kill them anyway.

It's also proven Freddy doesn't care about Bonnie, Chica, and Foxy, seeing them as pawns of his twisted game, calling them idiots or dimwits behind their backs. The bear is shown to be great at manipulation, as he's the one responsible for orchestrating the Bite of 87, which got Mangle and the other toys (who were amoral and had no idea about what they were doing) scrapped. Freddy, who's more of a ringleader that's followed out of fear rather than respect, won't hesitate to employ physical violence and/or force to get what he wants out of people.

Freddy is cunning, clever, manipulative and sadistic at every turn overall. His calm manner hiding the abuser underneath, he is favored by kids and despite it all, Freddy doesn't return the affection.

History[]

Pre-Books[]

Shortly after the Bite of 83’, William and Henry created Freddy Fazbear's Pizza with four cartoonish characters.

During one of the performances, Freddy and his friends started to gain a little more awareness.

Despite Bonnie, Chica, and Foxy being fine with singing showtunes and even enjoying it, Freddy started to get more unhinged, believing that the humans were simply using them for their gain, creating lies for himself to believe.

It's at that point Freddy killed a night guard and started to go on his murderous rampage due to the enjoyment of the feeling of murder.

Five Nights at Freddy's: Withered[]

While mentioned a few times by Michael to Jeremy, Freddy first appears in Night 4. Jeremy checks the vent, only to find the glowing blue eyes of Freddy staring back. Freddy would grab Jeremy, detain him, and take him to the Parts and Service room.

Freddy tells Jeremy that after he's finished with him, that the latter will wish he was caught by anyone else. As Jeremy attempts to stand up to the bear, Freddy puts Jeremy in the springlock suit and sets it off, which kills Jeremy and causes him to become RWQFSFASXC.

In Night 5, Freddy makes his entrance and taunts Michael by saying he left Jeremy hanging the previous night. Michael then takes out a handgun and shoots the bear's hand, afterward running away. Freddy would then send Foxy after him, who after failing, Freddy states Michael is trying to escape the fate he knows is inevitable. As RXQ tries to help Michael further, Freddy continues his taunting of both, even bringing up Evan. As the night comes to it's conclusion, Freddy states about another's arrival and disappears into the hallway.

During Night 6, Freddy doesn't appear till' halfway into the night, where Nightmare calls Freddy his "most trusted" friend. However, Freddy shows to refuse to follow orders from Nightmare. However, he gives chase toward Michael after the fact. However, during the chase, he runs into Mangle, and devises a new plot.

Near the end of the night, Shadow Freddy realizes Freddy's listening in on his and Michael's conversation, and disappears shortly after. Freddy tells Michael that it'd be a huge shame if something were to happen at that party. It's heavily implied Freddy caused Mangle to commit the infamous Bite of 87' with Michael being the victim.

Five Nights at Freddy's: Refurbished[]

Freddy first appears when Michael enters the pizzeria in the Prologue, staring down Michael almost instantly.

Up into Night 3, from the dayshift segments, Freddy makes himself known to be a feared and an abusive leader, instilling fear in Bonnie, Chica, and Foxy throughout the first two nights, until he's convinced to go check who the night guard is, much to the latter three's utter horror.

During Night 3, Michael gets a flashback of Freddy's killing of Michael. Afterward, Freddy starts travelling throughout the building, eventually until he reaches Michael and pins him to the ground and picks him up, ready to kill him. However, before he can, Michael accidentally jabs the bear's nose, which squeaks it. This leads Freddy to drop Michael and slowly get enraged, which causes him to run after Michael, which he quits, fuming.

After a ton of banging and loud cracks from the backstage, Freddy exits the Backstage, furious with his bandmates. However, he specifically targets Foxy and grabs him by the neck, and after a few comments from the fox, throws him into a table and warns Foxy that the pirate is getting on his last nerve.

During Night 4, Freddy continues his torment on Mike, but once again fails to kill em after Jeremy comes to Michael's rescue. It's also revealed Freddy had murdered the phone guy.

After Night 5 and letting his "pals" attempt to win the fight, he berates them for failing him. Bonnie, however, stands up for himself, resulting in Freddy crushing the rabbit's muzzle, saying that he doesn't fuck around.

During Night 6, Freddy decides to cheat and cut the power, which sends Michael into darkness.

Chasing Michael through the darkness as well as Michael having to avoid rthe others., Freddy and Michael end up in the backstage, Freddy reaching Michael shortly after the latter discovered the remains of Kyle, whom Freddy reveals to have mutilated and malnourished for a week, calling the Phone Guy his small "passion project".

After a confrontation with Nightmare, he incriminates Michael for the murder of Kyle and for Freddy's (feigned) dismantlement, which gets Michael arrested.

Later, Freddy is taunted by Nightmare, which Freddy takes offense to.

In Afton, Freddy is temporarily wounded and dismantled after Afton attacks him.

Five Nights at Freddy's: Springlocked[]

Freddy, while not physically present in Springlocked, is mentioned several times.

Five Nights at Freddy's: Finale[]

Freddy first appears at 3:45 AM, as he makes his presence known. As the bear hums the tune of Daisy Bell, he starts to bang on the window as he spots Tracy and co., as he suddenly cracks the window, the gang runs off as Freddy tells them to keep the chase interesting for him.

Freddy, having followed the crew to the backstage, finds Michael and comments about the fact he brought new friends with him. Michael tells Freddy to leave the kids alone, but the bear gains a newfound interest in the kids, particularly Aaron, whom he smiles at. Tracy tries to protect Aaron, but while the group are distracted, Freddy lunges past Michael and grabs Aaron into a chokehold. Tracy, in a panic, tries to rush toward Freddy, only for Freddy to snap Aaron's neck, which sends Tracy into a grief spiral. as he tells her that her lack of determination is pitiful, to be greeted with a punch to the muzzle. Unfazed, Freddy chuckles.

Afterward, Tracy asks how many people he's made suffer, Freddy replies "Not enough". It was then Tracy says that the bear is a monster, but then the bear replies with "He's a god."

A new voice says "God, hm?" and suddenly, Freddy is flung into a table, revealed to be by Nightmare, whom confronts Tracy on his own.

After Nightmare's fight, Freddy stands up and confronts Michael. However, Bonnie, Chica, and Foxy arrive and spectate the battle, but when Freddy asks for their help, the three deny his plea, finally standing up for themselves against the abusive bear. Freddy is both shocked and enraged they'd defy him, but either way, fights Michael himself. Just as he pins Michael and is about to get the killing blow, however, the intercom goes off, much to Freddy's frustration.

The voice on the intercom (heavily implied to be Henry) talks about how the machines have been misled by each other, forced into a cycle of bloodshed. In which the room slowly starts to get hotter as the room starts to go ablaze, along with the other pizzeria. Freddy, not willing to accept defeat, runs to the door and starts ramming into it. Henry tells Freddy to stay still, however.

However, Freddy manages to break down the door, and is about to escape, when suddenly, Bonnie, Chica, and Foxy hold onto Freddy, preventing him from escaping. The bear, panicked, keeps trying to claw at the door and walls, but keep getting dragged back. After Bonnie, Chica, and Foxy fall over and eventually succumb to the fire, Freddy tries to escape, but is yanked back by Nightmare.

Freddy yells at Nightmare to let him go as the fire starts to reach the bear. He then attempts to crawl out of the building, but suddenly, Nightmare rips out of the bear's spine, which prevents him from moving at all. Freddy releases an unholy scream as the fire consumes the bear and boils him until he finally dies, his suit starting to crumble and his tyranny finally over.

Trivia[]

Freddy is taken as a bigger threat in the series because AIEchidna had felt like Freddy was underused in the canon series.
