Nightmare Chica, also known as Infernal Chica or Jack-O-Chica, is a minor antagonist in Five Nights at Freddy's fanfiction Mike's New Ghostly Family, by Archcommander-Tenebros.

She is a demon who is a part of the Nightmares, a clan ruled by Nightmare, all members of whom take forms of monstrous animatronics from Freddy Fazbear's franchise as a testament to the corruption of innocense that is associated with the franchise. She makes up ranks of Lesser Nightmares with Nightmare Freddy, Nightmare Bonnie and Nightmare Foxy. She is the clan's only female member.

Appearance[]

Nightmare Chica takes form of a monstrous version of Chica. She is a monstrous yellow chicken animatronic with orange beak and feet who wears a tattered bib with "LET'S EAT!!!" written on it. Her right eye is non-functional, while her left eye is glowing with red light. Her beak possesses many sharp teeth and has a second maw inside, while her hands end with sharp claws. As Infernal Chica, she is predominantly orange in color with hellfire glow coming from inside of her, and her eyesockets are empty with infernal glow coming from inside.

Personality[]

Just like all other demons, Nightmare Chica is cruel, sadistic, malevolent, and vicious. She greatly enjoys torturing damned souls and enjoys indulging in acts of evil and seeing others suffer. Despite this, she still cares for her family and will go to great lengths to protect them and make sure they are safe and healthy.

History[]

Nightmare Chica and the Nightmares ruled over the lower circles of Hell, their dominion uncontested and their names feared all over Hell. One day, Old Man Consequences sent the Nightmares after Michael Afton's mind due to his deceased younger brother Evan wishing for revenge, a wish that was granted in the most unwanted way possible. For this torture, the Nightmares took form of monstrous versions of Fazbear franchises' animatronics, forms they kept even after the torture as a testament to the corruption of innocense that is associated with the franchise.

In these cursed dreams, Nightmare Chica and her siblings terrorized Michael, tormenting him with the reminders that he killed his own brother and murdering him in brutal fashions, with him being unable to wake up until he survives 'til 6 AM. Initially, Michael allowed them to torture him, but then he heard Evan's voice telling him to fight back, and not wishing to fail his brother, he started resisting the Nightmares, with his first step being shutting the door into Nightmare Chica's face. Throughout the trials, Nightmare Chica attacked Michael coming from the right hallway, forcing him to either shut the door when he's close or flash a flashlight when she's far away. She and the other Lesser Nightmares would disappear at fifth and seventh nights, with Nightmare Fredbear and Nightmare himself taking their places respectively, though they would return at sixth and eighth nights, more aggressive than ever before, before the two respective Greater Nightmares would replace them at 4 AM.

Once William Afton died, the Nightmares claimed his soul for eternal torture. When the killer lost his wager against Nightmare, failing to break apart Mike Schmidt's new family of Afton's ghostly victims, the torture only intensified further now that the Nightmares were no longer bound by the Heaven's restrictions, with Infernal Chica locking him inside the torture device that reenacted his death in Spring Bonnie suit, a suggestion provided by Mike, but in a more painful way. Afterwards, Nightmare Chica didn't interact with Mike Schmidt and his family, instead tending to her own businesses and occasionally screwing them over by adding strokes of bad luck to their games.

One day, Vucarik invaded the Nightmares realm, distracting them with diversion attack and breaking into their palace. Conspiring with William Afton, he grievously injured the Nightmare children and gave their essences to murderer before sending him to mortal world. Nightmare Chica immediately began to heal the younger Nightmares from their injuries inflicted by Vucarik, though they would still be severely weakened with their essences stolen. When the Nightmares shedded their animatronic forms, Nightmare Chica was the only one who kept hers due to being busy taking care of their youth. Once Afton was defeated by Mike inside his mind and returned back to Hell, Nightmare retrieved the stolen essences and harvested the essences of many deceased demons inside Mike's mind, feeding them to younger Nightmares and allowing them to retrieve their strength.

Afterwards, the Nightmares began to discuss their tortures of William Afton, with Nightmare proposing to force him to relive all suffering the nightguards of Fazbear-related establishments went through, putting him into special prison modelled after Fazbear's pizzerias of old, with every single animatronic created by Fazbear or Circus Baby franchises sent to attack him, also humiliating him by making him the laughingstock of entire Hell so that his arrogance would be crushed. Nightmare ordered his fellow Nightmares to research the animatronics when they're not busy torturing, and Infernal Chica prepared to begin her job after finishing her tortures. Eventually, the prison was built, and William Afton was put in there, while Nightmare would let Mike Schmidt and his ghostly children set up the animatronic attacks. Nightmare Chica, along with Nightmare Bonnie, was particularly interested in trying to murder Afton, so they both were allowed to use both Nightmare and Infernal forms for their attacks. Once the prison was finished, Infernal Chica reported to her lord that Afton was delivered to his new prison before asking for clarification whether her infernal form should appear when the temperature reaches 90 or 100 degrees, to which Nightmare angrily stated that she should appear at 90 degrees, reprimanded her for considering to give William a more merciful option.

When Nightmare discovered the existence of Glitchtrap from Mike and told other Nightmares about what he learned, they all were disgusted by the fact that Afton managed to find another way to cheat death. Nightmare Chica and her fellow Nightmares assisted Nightmare in performing the ritual that would destroy every single copy of VR game that contained Glitchtrap, leaving behind only the one from which Glitchtrap had escaped. Afterwards, Nightmare Chica and the others were dismissed while Nightmare Bonnie was entrusted with researching Glitchtrap's true nature.

Once Nightmare managed to gain complete autonomy over the development of Fazbear Entertainment's VR game, he implemented multiple failsafes to ensure that Glitchtrap would never be able to return, including adding the Nightmares into the game, imbued with their demonic essences, which allows them to possess their in-game counterparts to be able to communicate with Schmidts. Nightmare Chica, both in her regular and Infernal/"Jack-O-" forms, was taunting the Schmidt children over their losses whenever she successfully jumpscared them. Like the other Nightmares, when the Schmidts discovered the secret Nightmare hid for them in the game, Nightmare Chica withdrew her presence from Schmidts' copy of the game.

Much later, when Nightmare learned of Fazbear Entertainment's Special Delivery project and the fact that Mike Schmidt had his arm and leg broken by their Toy Bonnie animatronic, he decided to take matters into his own hands, invading the minds of executives. Nightmare Freddy, along with the other Lesser Nightmares, took part in torturing them before Nightmare moved on to finish the job and then present his ultimatum.
