“ | Don't you GET IT? I'm your BEST pal! And we'll be together... FOREVER! | „ |
~ Pal's villainous breakdown during his boss fight |
“ | Your best (and only) pal, Pal is the final boss of Playtime with Percy. He is a combination of Percy Poodle and your Pal Percy, and the result of caring for it too much. While not explicitly detailed, Pal is actually the one controlling every animatronic in-game. All for the goal of getting you to stay. What a parasite. | „ |
~ Pal's bonuses description |
Pal Percy is the main antagonist of Playtime with Percy, a Five Night's at Freddy's fangame created by Fazie Funbear. He is part of a line of discontinued virtual pet toys created by Paltronics. He at first seems to be a regular toy that the night guard Nick must take care of to survive, but is in actuality the one sending the animatronics to kill him in the first place. He reveals his true nature on the final night, where after taking over the building, he attempts to keep Nick trapped so they'll never be apart, even if it means the playhouse will be demolished with him and Nick in it.
He is voiced by ArtyDoesStuff.
Appearance[]
Normally, Pal is a small, white, oval-shaped device with a small green screen in the center. There are two large, cartoonish eyes on top of this device, with the whites of the eyes resembling demon horns at some angles. Below his screen are three red buttons; the leftmost one having a picture of a piece of meat on it, the rightmost one having a yellow smiling face, and the middle having drops of water. Between the screen and the buttons, there is text reading "Pal Percy", with "Percy" being in red, orange, yellow, green and blue.
His face is usually a pixilated version of Percy Poodle's face, which progressively gets more and more distorted as the game continues. After taking control of Percy and the whole building, his face changes to simplistic pair of eyes and a mouth, which often become more detailed and manic-looking as he speaks.
While in control of Percy Poodle, he looks similar to how the animatronic normally does, though there is now a large hole in its torso, and inside he's attached himself to the machinery with black wires. These black wires also wrap around the rest of the robot, and it's missing its eyes. It also has exposed endoskeleton hands with sharp gray claws and a pair of black boots.
Biography[]
Pal Percys were created as virtual pet toys made by Paltronics, the company who owns the Percy's Playhouse entertainment center and used the same type of batteries as the establishment's robots. The toys were eventually recalled however, when they went mad and started posing a threat to those who used them too long and/or too frequently.
When Percy's Playhouse is about to close down, a man named Nick is hired to watch over the building at night to ensure no one breaks in to steal or damage anything before it can be actioned off. On his first shift, he finds a Pal Percy toy and begins playing with it. Unknowingly, this device is alive, and quickly grows an obsessive attachment to his owner, thinking they're best friends that will stay together forever. Pal hacks into the restaurant's animatronics, turning them hostile and sending them after Nick to try and prevent him from leaving.
Throughout the main game, the player must frequently check up on Pal, needing to play games with him in order to make him happy enough to end the night, with his happiness bar being a bit longer each night. The player can't play the same game twice in a row, and if Pal is ignored for too long, he'll start beeping loudly and won't stop until a game is played. These games include shaking a water bottle with W and S to fill a bowl, catching three bones by moving left and right with A and D, and throwing a frisbee at Pal with the space bar, moving left and right with the same keys as before. Depending on the rank the play had gotten on the previous night, Pal's happiness bar may be filled a certain amount as soon as a new night starts.
On Monday night, Pal will be normal, however on Tuesday he'll now have an annoyed expression. On Wednesday, he'll now have a distorted face with a wide frown, which will soon turn into a small smile. At the end of the night, Nick will tell his boss that his Pal Percy has been acting very strange, but brushes it off as nothing important. As he leaves the building, he notices a disc near the exit and takes it home, but can't get it to work. After Nick leaves it alone, the disc will start up by itself, playing a recall notice concerning the Pal Percy toys. During the notice, the Pal Percy displayed on the screen will turn on and display Percy's face with a large eye in the middle, and begin looking around before flicking off.
On Thursday night, Pal's face will be blank, before changing to a wide smile with no eyes, and then gaining blank eyes. On Friday night, he'll have a frown and no eyes, and then begin smiling wider and wider, and finally turning into one large eye. Before he leaves the building for the last time, Nick is then tasked with repairing Percy Poodle's battery, but said battery breaks down and needs to be replaced. With no spare batteries to replace it with, Nick's boss tells him to replace it with another powers source, and Pal begins beeping. Nick replaces the battery with Pal, which ends up being compatible, and Pal begins looking at him with the same large eye as before. Fake credits then begins to roll, which display text of Pal uploading himself into the animatronic and the rest of the building, when suddenly Percy Poodle grabs the screen and pulls the credits away. Back in the repair room, the lights begin flickering as Pal turns the robot into his host, revealing his real face and laughing maniacally.
Nick runs away from Pal and ends up in the storage room, where he finds an early model of a Pal Percy toy hooked up to the building's power. Using it, the player must then get its happiness bar filled five times in order to get enough charges to shut Pal down. The player will then need to find Pal in one of the cameras, where he'll be displaying an image of what he wants, which must be found and clicked on in another camera. When this happens, he'll display images and text on the two screens on either side of the room to cue the player. If they fail to find it in time, he'll show up and attack.
After getting two charges, Pal will start sending TamaBruti to bang on the walls outside the room, which will need to be stopped from coming in by holding a cart in front of whichever side it's on. He'll also begin sending the Poodle Pals after the player, which will mess with the cameras and EMP, and will need to be hit with the aforementioned carts. After getting three charges, Pal will start approaching the storage room door frequently cued by the sound of his stomping, banging on it and requiring the player to hold it shut to prevent him from getting in. If they fail to do this, he'll break down the door and attack moments after. He'll also start sending TamaOpti, with the player needing to look on the cameras for it and shock it once they're spotted.
After getting four charges, Pal will come down through a hole in the ceiling and tell Nick that they'll be together forever, laughing before retreating back through the hole. The screens will then begin showing him laughing madly as he sends in more Pal Percys, which need to be watched on the cameras and thrown off when they enter the room. Once getting all five charges, He'll show up at the door, laughing at the player through the window before running off. Pal will then start appearing on the screens, which will need to be shut off to prevent the player's tools from breaking. He'll also begin coming downs through the hole in the ceiling and showing a ball being hidden under one of three cups, which will then be shuffled around. The player must focus and click on which cup is hiding the ball, causing him to shout before shedding a tear and retreating back through the hole once more. If the player clicks on the wrong cup or takes too long, Pal will attack and kill them by splitting himself open, revealing a second face on his circuitry as well as strange green slime, all while the face on his screen appears to be screaming in pain.
Upon finally being able to shut the power down, the lights in the building will begin flickering and the EMP will turn off. Soon the power will shut off completely, ending the boss fight. Nick will wonder if its over before Pal busts down the door, telling him that they were supposed to be best friends, angrily asking if he's just going to leave him. He then tells Nick that they can still be together if he takes him with him, saying that Pal Percys were made to be best friends. Nick says he won't take Pal with him, and he tells him to suit himself before trapping him in black wires and stating that he'll just have to put a permanent end to their friendship, and he doesn't even care about the demolishment that is coming to the playhouse, it will soon be worth it in the end once he fishiness Nick off, laughing maniacally once more. He then hears a demolition crew outside, who begin destroying the building with a wrecking ball moments after, breaking Percy Poodle and knocking Pal out of it in the process. Pal falls to the ground, and starts begging Nick to take him with him as he flees the crumbling building.
Outside, Nick tells his boss about what his Pal Percy did, and is then told of how they were recalled for going mad when they were used for too long. Nick realizes that the recall notice was what was on the disc and regrets not being able to get it working, and his boss says that the company must have forgotten one of the devices in the building. In the game's real end credits, a photo of Pal angrily laying next to the destroyed Percy Poodle is seen, with "DRAT!!" written under it in black marker.
After completing the EMP Custom Hour challenge Parasitic Pals on aggressive difficulty, a secret cutscene will play of Pal in a dump, lamenting that his one chance to be a good friend just had to be Nick. He then tells himself that some day someone dumb enough to go snooping around will find him, and yells that he'll show them he can be a good pal. He adds that he just needs to wait for the right moment, sadly adding that it'll come eventually.

- It's been stated that he isn't inherently malicious, but is just incredibly desperate for companionship.
- The entirety of his boss fight, from taking over Percy to the building being demolished, took place in only about ten to fifteen minutes in-universe.
- Strangely, his cup shuffle jumpscare and Yellow Mutt's jumpscare are the only two missing from the bonuses menu. In the latter's case, it's likely because he's a secret character.
- His expressions during the boss fight - namely while laughing - are inspired by Ren and Stimpy.
- If his wires were cut during his boss fight, he says he'd just regrow them, but doesn't know how.
- His current pixel sprites were made by Celesware.
- He's confirmed to appear in FNaF Remixed in the future.
- He and Polly are the only two non-human characters to speak.
- The laugh of the Duck Hunt Dog from Duck Hunt can be faintly heard during his normal jumpscare scream, though it can only be heard fully in the bonuses menu.
- Pal is Fazie Funbear's favorite design.
- During a QnA, he stated that he's waterproof.
- His favorite food is dog bones.
- He has stated that he doesn't remember the reason why he gets so upset when the player wins his cup shuffling game.

- Pal's eyes subtly follow the player's cursor in the title screen.
- When asked why he didn't just bash down the door at the start of his boss fight, he replied that he wanted to have fun.
- Pal was the earliest character conceptualized, before it was even decided to make the game a FNaF fangame.
- Fazie Funbear has stated that Pal is everything he likes in a villain.
- In his page in the extras, it's mentioned that Pal was a very hard character to get right, both for story and gameplay reasons.
- Whatever Pal is, such as a sentient AI or a ghost possessing a toy, is up to interpretation.
- During a QnA, Pal says that even he doesn't know what he is.
- Originally, the fight against Pal was only going to involve him, and then the other animatronics as well, before it was decided to have the Tama-Terrors and Poodle Pals fill this role instead.
- Additionally, the fight was originally going to remain 2D like the rest of the game rather than switching to 3D.
- He was originally going to be an app on a tablet rather than a Tamagotchi-like toy.
- His design in the app was then reused for the Playful Poodles.
- At first, his happiness meter was going to just fill up on its own, but this was changed to be more interactive.
- It's been stated that if the game ever gets DLC, Pal likely won't be present in it.
- When asked how big he is, Pal said that he's three feet tall.
- In the original story, the Pal Percys were made from DNA and would've been fully explained, though this was changed to be up to interpretation because the devs thought the explanation was dumb.
- When asked what the characters' sexualities are, Pal was confirmed to be aroace.
