Ethan sees how Conner is attacked by the Black Dragon Cannon used by a Mastodon Sentry.
When events set into motion by Lord Drakkon cause the timeline to split into a pocket universe, each anchored on a powerset. The Dino Rangers are split off into their own pocket universe before Drakkon then attacks them.

When Zordon and Alpha 5 patch Jen Scotts’s technology with Zordon’s teleportation technology and sends a warning across time and space to all the various Ranger groups, Ethan, Kira and Conner morph into their Ranger forms are seen battling against Lord Drakkon's Mastodon Sentries, during the battle he witness that Conner is affected by the Black Dragon Cannon. His Dino Morpher was later seen at Drakkon's lair, concluding that he may have been captured by Lord Drakkon and held on the moon base. COMIC STORY- Mighty Morphin Power Rangers (Boom! Studios) Issue 30
Ethan's timeline is later restored by the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers after they defeated Drakkon.

- Tricera Skin: Due to the Blue Dino Gem, Ethan has the power to make his skin impenetrable and as hard as a rock, similar to the scales of a Triceratops. His skin turns scale-like and goes blue when he uses this power.

Super Dino Mode
Super Dino Mode is an ability to the Blue Dino Ranger eventually utilize. By drawing energy from his Dino Gem, they go through an almost feral transformation. His helmet roars, the patterns on his suit transform into spiked armor, and their strength increases greatly.
