Chuck Guys are enemies which appear in Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga and its Nintendo 3DS remake Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga + Bowser's Minions. They are the Beanbean Kingdom equivalent to Spear Guys.

Profile[]

Chuck Guys have major differences from Spear Guys. They are colored purple, they lack the grass skirt, their mask is less painted, their shoes are colored black and they have a ponytail on the back of their head, complete with a blue headband. Chuck Guys have a stronger variant named Elite Chuck Guys, which is light blue.

In Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga[]

In Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga and Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga + Bowser's Minions, Chuck Guys appear as enemies located in Chucklehuck Woods. In the overworld, they attack Mario and Luigi by throwing their spears at them. Their elite variant appears in Guffawha Ruins with the same behaviour.

Battle[]

In battle, they will either charge at a Bro. with their spear (they will hop before attacking), or try to stab the Bro. with their spear. The Bros. can avoid this with their jump defense, and the former attack has a chance to poison the target if it connects. When a Chuck Guy is defeated, the remaining Chuck Guy can call forth a replacement Chuck Guy, although sometimes the replacement will not appear, resulting in the calling Chuck Guy losing their turn.

Regular Chuck Guys are considered Level 12 monsters with 22 hit points, an attack power of 32-36, a defense of 32, a speed of 46, their defeat netting 15 Experience, 3 coins, and a Syrup Jar in 1129 out of 5000 drops. Their elite version is of level 24 with 30 hit poitns, an attack power of 64, a defense of 50, and a speed of 50, giving 60 Experience and dropping 20 coins upon defeat.

In Minion Quest: The Search for Bowser[]

Chuck Guys also appear as enemies in the Nintendo 3DS remake's sidestory, Minion Quest: The Search for Bowser, alongside their stronger counterparts, Elite Chuck Guys. They fight as Melee troopers and their Special Skill is Spin Cycle. They are weak against red Koopa Paratroopas.
