Three Great Heavens is the 108th chapter of the Kingdom manga.
Summary[]
Entering the third year of the king's reign, 244 BC.
Under the orders of Chancellor Ryo Fui, a Qin Army over 200,000 strong sets out for an invasion of the neighboring state of Han.
Over at the Strategist Academy, Ka Ryo Ten, Mou Ki and other students follow the course of the campaign on their strategy table.
The army are going to split their troops into three forces and attack separate cities. The men who fought in the previous war with Wei weren't recruited due to a concern for their wellbeing. The first city to be attacked is Kouu. The Commander in Chief of this war on Qin’s side is Great General, Mou Gou. The city of Kouu falls in matter of six days.
Curious, Ei Sei asks Shou Bun Kun for his option on what kind of General Mou Gou is. He says that Mou Gou is a mediocre general as he fights by the books and doesn't take risks. The Han cities fall one by one, and the vice generals are also having great success as they manage in one month to capture up to eleven cities.
Because of the great success Ryo Fui orders to go even deeper in Han territory as there is no reason to stop the flow now. Shou Hei Kun tells to send Chou Tou in as an overseer for the southern defenses.
Ka Ryo Ten asks herself if they aren't going in to deep, because Han isn't their only enemy. Mou Ki states that the three neighboring states can't attack Qin.
Duke Hyou has been sent to the front lines in case of Wei retaliating as for Chu, the defenses there were strong to begin with. Zhao can't attack because of the Three Great Heavens are gone. He states that currently they’re not a single promising candidate in Zhao.
Meanwhile in the capital of Zhao Kantan, a large man named Hou Ken, and his horse arrive and are summoned before the Zhao king, Tou Jou. With a confident smile, the king orders him to take their entire army and devastate lands of Qin.
