In the video games, he was voiced by David Bateson.
In the films, he was portrayed by Timothy Olyphant in the 2007 film adaptation, and Rupert Friend in the 2015 film adaptation.
His Evil Ranking[]
What Makes Him Heinous?[]
In General:[]
- Most of the kills mentioned are all challenges too which makes it possible they were canon instead of just relying on player choice due to Hitman not having confirmed ways to assassinate targets.
- While he kills many bad people throughout the series, most of them were for his and Diana's own benefit rather than because they truly deserved it, so this isn't a redeeming quality.
- While Hitman's heinous standard is high, he easily meets it by having a high on screen kill count of 349 people to his name, while also having very brutal methods when it comes to taking out his targets.
- While most of his targets are undoubtedly horrible people, a few, such as Matthieu Mendola and Penelope Graves, are arguably misguided and flawed but ultimately decent people.
Original Series:[]
- During or after Diana's brother James Oliver Burnwood's funeral, 47 killed both of her parents by using a car bomb which left Diana to fend for herself with an arms dealer named Savi and her men.
- Diana is also caught in the blast and is injured when she is knocked back in the explosion, meaning 47 almost killed her as well.
- During a contract for an unknown target, he forced a cab driver to run over his target to make it look like an accident, meaning their life is pretty much ruined now thanks to 47.
- Was willing to risk a triad war happening in order to make Lee Hong easier to assassinate.
- He kills police inspector Albert Fournier for finding out his identity.
- He infiltrates Joseph Clarence's fair ground and assassinates him after making him look at a picture of a boy he accidentally killed years ago, along with 18 more people.
- When a postman comes into his apartment, 47 kills him on the slight implication that he might have been a target or an assassin and feels no remorse regardless. This is considered one of the worst things he has ever done as it proves 47 is not above killing innocent people if it benefits him.
- When he recovers after his fake funeral, he guns down 13 people who attended it, even Rick Henderson who was just an innocent journalist wanting to know more about 47.
- He kidnaps Lenny Dexter and takes him out to the desert where he forces him to dig a hole till his arms start aching. 47 tells him he can stop after he tells him where Victoria is, and Lenny eventually caves and tells him so then 47 tells him he can stop digging and then he either has the choice to kill, knock out, or leave Lenny behind to die in the desert and it is heavily implied that he canonically left Lenny behind to die in the desert as the description when he goes near the car says 'Lenny poses no threat; why waste a bullet?'.
- He murders Dexter's scientists in brutal ways such as burning their scalp which then makes them fall to their death after going over a railing, shocking them to death, and detonating one of them when they are in the middle of a minefield.
- He can kill Sanchez by dropping a light rig on him, but this also kills the other wrestler in the ring too, once again proving that 47 is not above killing innocents for his goals.
World of Assassination Trilogy:[]
HITMAN:[]
- For a majority of the targets, he can just shoot them in the head, garrote them with fibre wire, poison them with Lethal poison in their drinks or food or through a syringe, or spike them with rat poison or a dart gun which makes them go to a nearby toilet which Agent 47 can drown them in,
Patient Zero[]
- Goes to Colorado, USA to kill Bradley Paine and 5 infected soldiers.
- Goes to Hokkaido, Japan to kill Owen Cage and Klaus Liebleid as well as any infected in the area.
- He can kill both Cage & Liebleid by incinerating both of them.
- While Cage and Lieblied do deserve their fates, the same cannot be said for all the other innocents in the hospital who got infected with the infectious and lethal virus, and Agent 47 can kill up to 140 innocent people inside the hospital, even though there is a cure inside the building

HITMAN III: Freelancer[]
- After ICA and Providence were dismantled, despite being able to retire 47 and Diana remain as assassins with no ties to anyone but themselves, hence the freelancer mode where they kill people in new criminal syndicates around the world.
What Makes Him Inconsistent?[]
- He is an on & off character as he shows a heroic side at times such as when he promised Diana to look after Victoria and kept it, and when he told Lucas Grey to escape so he could save himself, leaving 47 himself to be captured, and he spared Diana by shooting her in a non-lethal part of her body so she would be able to get medical assistance before she bled out. He also aided Lucas, Diana, and Olivia with their goals to stop Providence, who were a criminal organization that sought worldwide power and even went as far to play a major role in taking down Oybek Nabazov, Sister Yulduz and Owen Cage who wanted to spread a virus that would kill 90% of the world's population with no selfish intent involved, along with Diana.
- He is very tragic as he grew up being a clone designed for killing and for Ort-Meyer's world domination scheme as both he and Grey were raised harshly in and out of Colorado to become what they are today, and when their warden retrieved them, he killed everyone and they knew and killed the woman who helped them while forcing them to watch and lastly per Janus's orders he and all the other clones had their memories erased except for Grey, and he is shown to have PTSD from these events.
- He has people he cares about such as Diana, Victoria, Father Vittoro, and Lucas Grey for non-pragmatic reasons as he wanted to save Vittoro after he was kidnapped for no reason other than concern for his wellbeing and helped Diana and Victoria by killing Benjamin Travis and all his important allies in order to prevent them from hunting down Diana and Victoria. He also wanted to try and save Grey after he was cornered by 15 men, but Grey took a gun and shot himself in order to prevent 47 from blowing his cover.
- Despite killing Diana's parents, he felt remorse for it after she called him out on it in front of Arthur's men in order to make herself look more believable as a traitor and apologised to her for it.
- He does show some reluctance to kill at times when he knocks out a man to get his disguise rather than kill him and he wanted to get Sebastian Sato out of the way so he could kill Novikov without collateral damage and he can wipe Arthur Edwards memories instead of killing him as an option unlike Benjamin Travis who he kills in a cutscene.
- Furthermore, it is possible to complete HITMAN III without directly killing others, most notably when he gets 5 hitmen diguised as guards blown up due to negligent smoking near flammable, explosive objects, & getting Hush to cook his own brain due to being too mentally resillient.
- He is honourable as he wanted to kill Soders due to him betraying the ICA and he decided to spare Lucas after remembering the promise the two made together to take down providence as kids despite the trouble Lucas had caused for him and Diana. He also saved Birdie from Wade's men in order to thank him for his help, even though he would regret this later as Birdie betrayed him.
- He has standards against betrayal, terrorism, and although earlier in the series he was fine with it, he always tries his hardest to avoid collateral damage and does not like it when others kill innocents mindlessly. He also shows standards against pedophilia and child rape, showing disgust at Al-Fulani for leading a child sex trafficking ring and being a pedophilic rapist, even allowing the kids to murder him so they can get revenge on Fulani.
- He has a lot of optional comedic moments as he always hints on what he's going to do either by jokes or telling his targets outright, and sometimes even the possible murder methods:
- His quote "Everything's to die for" with poisoned food,
- Him being a therapist for Silvio Caruso
- Blowing up Caruso with an explosive golf ball.
- Pushing Dalia Margolis onto Viktor Novikov.
- Him being a fortune teller
- Telling Yuki Yamazaki to watch her back as the Hospital Director then push her off the balcony
- Telling Sierra Knox that he isn't worried about Belladonna, a lethal poison inside an injection.
- His conversations with the security guards in Miami in the flamingo mascot costume
- Him improvising a Shaman ritual in Columbia
- Asking Dawood Rangan to look up then the Kashmirian shoots him in the head.
- Cranking the fan on Dawood Rangan's set to dangerous levels, enough to send the latter airborne.
- The main actress (the woman Rangan was with) even says that she didn't expect Rangan to fly away because of his ego.
- When giving a tour on a house for Nolan Cassidy he improvises on what you could do in the house in the most absurd ways
- His conversation with the Bank Teller in New York
- His entire job interview in the Bank at New York
- Tyson Williams asking 47 to strangle the cough, which 47 says he has a few ideas, then he can strangle Williams
- Telling a security guard in Chongqing that he "changes clothes all the time" implying his constant disguise changes
- Getting 5 hitmen disguised as guards to get themselves blown up by smoking.
- The first 4 hitmen smoked recklessly close to visibly & audibly leaking gas pipes & propane tanks, while the last one gets blown up because a non-hitman guard smoked close to, yet again, a visibly & audibly leaking propane tank, only this time, planted by 47.
- His conversations with Diana Burnwood and Tamara Vidal as Tobias Rieper
- Him pushing a toilet onto Reza Zaydan who was reprimanding a pair of soldiers who badmouthed him over the intercom.
- Him dropping a prop moose onto Claus Hugo Strandberg, who is Swedish.
- Him giving a tour of the Winery in Mendoza to Diana, Tamara and Corvo Black with him also improvising on what you also can use to kill Tamara.
- Sometimes he's too into his disguises such as his acting in the mascot costume which makes him hard to take seriously.
- Numerous pop culture references, such as getting abducted by aliens & riding a flying bicycle in Berlin.
- Drugging himself & escaping Sean Rose's complex on a children's toy.
- Using an inflatable crocodile to escape HAVEN's base.
- Despite his actions, it's still just him doing his job as a government assassin.
- He wants to live a normal life, but is unable to as anytime he tries to retire, he ends up getting forced to return to assassination, causing him to decide to be an assassin for the rest of his life in order to protect the people he cares about and not endanger any innocents the same way Sergei Zavorotko did with Father Vittoro in order to force 47 back into assassination.
