This is a list of conflicts in the timeline of Amphibia.
Pre-Season 1[]
Royal rumblings with Andrias and Aldrich[]
1000 years ago, Prince Andrias, heir to the Newtopian throne, was best friends with the legendary Barrel the Great and the frog Leif the gardener, both of whom worked for the royal newt family. They enjoyed their time with Andrias, but that was soon to end...
During a walk, King Aldrich, the current King of Newtopia, told Andrias that his friends would eventually turn on him for he'll take the throne eventually, but he disputed that. Aldrich introduced his son to The Core, a collective that consisted of all of Amphibia's smartest minds combined, saying that with it by his side, Andrias would not need any of his friends. Soon he gave the prince his mission: to invade a strange medieval planet called Earth. Andrias doubted that the extermination of innocent species would do them any good, though his father assured him that it was for the best.
That night, Aldrich entrusts Andrias with the key to the room that holds the Calamity Box, which may look like a music box on the outside, but a powerful and dangerous weapon on the inside. Charged with three gems, the box was both a power source capable of powering the entirety of Newtopia... and a tool capable of interdimensional travel.
One fateful play session results in Leif touching the gems, which show her a dark future for Newtopia and Amphibia as a whole. That was the moment Leif realized that going with the invasion plan was a horrible idea; she went to Aldrich, but the king, now fully intent on mad dreams of conquest, declined her request to stop using the box altogether and told Andrias that his own best friend was a traitor to the cause. Andrias' pleas were dismissed as Aldrich told him that his friends were indeed asking for favors. He then told Andrias that he would be part of the Core and he expected the people of Amphibia to look to their new ruler.
Now fully goaded by his father's words, Andrias snapped at Leif when she tried to talk to him, but quickly make up.
Theft of the Box and Leif's legacy[]
However, this was soon subverted as Leif stole the key to the room with the Box. Andrias and Barrel give chase, but Leif proves to be very agile and feisty, using a prototype Frobot arm to shoot at her former friend. Sacrificing her friendship with Andrias, Leif managed to escape on a Moss Man and went to the olms, telling them about her vision, shortly afterward hiding the Box on Earth. She changed her name to Lily Plantar when she returned to Amphibia to hide her identity, founding the town of Wartwood, creating the Plantar farm and thus starting the Plantar family as it stands today.
Incidentally, this was the very moment Andrias succumbed to the darkness, now dead set on conquering other worlds. He swore to keep the frogs in line to prevent an incident of this scale from ever happening again, and reassigned Barrel to guard the villages, ending his friendships with them. Andrias shows spite for Leif, thinking she left him forever, and he would not know of her following developments. However, Leif still saw the good in him, writing a letter for him that she kept in a secret room in the Plantar farm. Sprig would pocket the letter and keep it on his person until he finally shows it to Andrias in Los Angeles.
Attack on a village and Barrel's death[]
Some time ago, Barrel was killed while defending a village from a terrifying beast.
Avocados vs. Almonds feud[]
A feud between the Avocados and the Almonds was mentioned by Hop Pop in "Civil Wart" to be more destructive than the feud than the Hunter and Alistair feud featured in the episode.
The Sand Wars[]
Not much is known about the Sand Wars, as they have not been shown in the series. The Sand Wars are mentioned multiple times in passing by General Yunan, who mentions fighting in the war during her spiel and thus being nicknamed the "Scourge of the Sand Wars". They were apparently conflicts fought within sandy territory by Newtopia's armed forces. Following the conflicts, Yunan fought someone named "Ragnar the Wretched".
The Bogwater Wars of '48[]
Not much is known about the Bogwater Wars of '48, as it has not been shown in the series. In “Family Shrub” it was mentioned briefly by Anne as one of the battles that Polliana Plantar participated in.
The Horsefly Rebellion of '48[]
Not much is known about the Horsefly Rebellion, as it has not been shown in the series. It was mentioned briefly by Hop Pop as the correct answer to the game Drawsidoodle in "The Dinner".
The Western Toad invasion of '53[]
Not much is known about the Western Toad invasion of '53, as it has not been shown in the series. In “Family Shrub” it was mentioned briefly by Anne as one of the battles that Polliana Plantar participated in.
Heron attack on Wartwood Swamp[]
During Sprig and Polly's childhood, two herons swarmed Wartwood Swamp and caused catastrophic damage. During this event, Mr. and Ms. Plantar, Sprig and Polly's parents, were killed. Hop Pop was only able to leave a scar on one of the herons before they presumably retreated, which was the way he recognized them in Los Angeles. Hop Pop would be left with long-lasting trauma from the event.
Season 1[]
Rivalry between Toad Tower's Toad Army garrison and the citizens of Wartwood Swamp[]
In the episode "Toad Tax", a rivalry between Toad Tower's garrison and the citizens of Wartwood Swamp began because the Toad Army troops were stealing their possessions, while the toads said the citizens apparently weren't paying their taxes. Anne joined a gang of tax collectors named Fens, Bog and Mire, but betrayed them because she noticed something was off about how many items the Toads were stealing. Later, it turned out Mayor Toadstool was the one tricking the Toads into stealing their money, for his own benefit. Mayor Toadstool was almost arrested, but pardoned himself and most of the items were returned.
Hunters vs. Alastair feud[]
The Hunters vs. Alastair Rivalry was a war that began, and ended, in "Civil Wart". It began because Anne showed the citizens of Wartwood Swamp a film entitled Love Choice on Theatre Night. Polly and Sprig disagreed on who the main character should choose as her "love choice." Sprig (not keen on letting Polly win) and Polly rallied up others who agreed with them on the matter and split Wartwood Swamp in half in a rather destructive feud. Later, Hop Pop and Anne hatched a plan to get them to like each other again, thereby ending the war.
Attempted execution of Hop Pop at Toad Tower[]
Due to an infiltration attempt at Toad Tower gone wrong, Anne and the Plantars were discovered by Sasha and her toad soldiers, taking Hop Pop away to be executed. The outcome could only go two ways: if Anne won, the frogs can leave, but if Sasha wins, Hop Pop was to be executed.
The resulting duel resulted in a victory for Anne, but the battle was far from over, as what happened shortly after put everyone at Toad Tower at high risk. Amidst the explosions, Sasha threw herself down into the imploding structure after calling herself unworthy of being Anne's friend, though Grime caught her and took her away from the chaos.
Season 2[]
Searching for a way back home, Anne and the Plantars go on a long road trip to Newtopia to search for answers to the mysterious nature of the Calamity Box.
Attack of the Barbari-Ants[]
Finally reaching Newtopia, the group was faced with the giant gates which remain closed until the Barbari-Ant invasion has been dealt with. Said Barbari-Ants then make themselves shown to the group, but they're all fended off by an old friend of Anne's, who is now a ranger for the Newtopian knight guard. The group, now with Marcy on their side, devise a plan to stop the Barbari-Ants from invading.
With the plan in hand, the group goes to a nearby cave; there, Sprig's suspicions about Marcy flare up, and Anne becomes concerned for Marcy's well-being, the girl being clumsy and hindering their safety. Once they get to the queen ant, Anne initially becomes hesitant of Marcy trying to do everything herself due to just reuniting with her, but Marcy tells her she can do the job without injury. Putting all her trust in her friend, Anne witnesses Marcy pull off a heroic save, saving Sprig (who was eaten by the queen ant) just in time for the stinkshrooms planted around the nest to detonate.
With the deed complete, Newtopia opens once more and a royal, named Olivia, announces herself to Anne and the Plantars. She then gives them a residence to stay in. As the King, Andrias, sees Anne reunited with Sasha, he goes down to the basement and tells his master that "it's time for the game to begin".
After spending some time in Newtopia, the group heads back home with Marcy.
Trials of the Three Temples[]
With a tip from Marcy, Anne and the Plantars, along with Marcy and later Sasha, braved the three temples.
The first temple was a test of intelligence and wit - Marcy's strengths - which concluded with a Flipwart match with Anne against the Plantars. Marcy forfeits the game as Anne opens up to Hop Pop (the two of them had a strained relationship after the latter hid the Box). Upon completion, Marcy, having learned humility, charges the gem, thus forfeiting her powers. Meanwhile, King Andrias tells an entity down in the basement that the prophecy is in the process of being undone.
The second temple was a test of persistence for the group, but ultimately one of patience for Anne. Anne keeps half of the gem's powers in a rush after she hears her friends scream in a panic.
The third was the moment Sasha reunited with Anne and co., wanting to make amends (but actually wanting to take the Box for herself). Anne, knowing fully what Sasha did back at Toad Tower, remained cautious, but they braved the third temple together and charged the gem.
Toad Army Rebellion against Newtopia[]
With all three gems charged, Anne and her friends finally return to Newtopia, completing their mission to give King Andrias the Calamity Box. However, as they got there, Sasha revealed her true colors and backstabbed Anne, taking the Box for herself. Anne and her other friends, including Andrias, are sent to the dungeons. However, General Yunan bailed them out and they hide away in an old sandwich shop where they strategize their plan; with a Toad invasion incoming, the group split into three teams; one group would free Andrias and one would hold off the Toad invasion while Anne and Sprig would close the gates before they get in. Meanwhile, Captain Grime, showing a hidden mural, knocked Sasha into her senses and revealed to her that Andrias wasn't the kind ruler he was thought out to be.
They execute the plan; Sasha and Grime noticed that Anne and her friends had escaped, so they scramble to shut the operation down. Sasha and Anne, the latter still disappointed in her friend for her betrayal, had an epic rematch, which Anne won. Meanwhile, Sprig battled and overpowered Grime, despite his smaller size, and Andrias was freed by Hop Pop, Marcy and Olivia.
As evening fell and the Calamity Box was ready to be returned, Anne and her friends saw a big change in King Andrias. They initially thought Andrias, the ruler of Amphibia, was a benevolent leader who cared for his subjects and friends, but they were proven wrong as the newt king revealed his true intentions: to use the Calamity Box to conquer not only Amphibia, but other worlds too. Andrias also had Marcy spill the beans: having known of the Box's power and with family drama occurring that very moment, she used it and got her friends stranded in Amphibia on purpose - and on Anne's birthday too - so she can spend all the time with them. Seeing how truly evil Andrias was, Anne joined forces with her friends - and Sasha - to take the newt king down once and for all.
Anne and her friends fought Andrias and his newly-created Frobot army; the battle was won, but at the cost of Polly's Frobo (though she grew legs soon afterward). Polly scrambles to deactivate the Box, but Andrias, getting a hold of Sprig, dropped him down a window, causing Anne's Calamity powers to awaken as she unleashed her rage on Andrias, beating the tar out of him. Meanwhile, Marcy called for Joe Sparrow's help and she was able to save Sprig. After an emotional reunion between Anne and Sprig, Andrias, having had enough and having saw her true powers for the first time, decided Anne can't live, but Marcy, seeing this, took the Box and opened a portal back to Earth. However, she was critically wounded by Andrias' sword, but lived long enough to see Anne and the Plantars head into the portal. As Marcy fell, Anne and the Plantars were sent to Earth.
Season 3[]
After Anne, with the Plantars in tow, was separated from Marcy and Sasha, the two groups went their own ways; Anne and the Plantars took up refuge in the Boonchuy residence with her parents while they regain their grounds on Earth, while Sasha escaped the castle with Grime and started a rebellion. Marcy, however, was taken to a rejuvenation chamber in the hopes of a quick recovery.
Clash against Mr. X's FBI branch[]
As Anne and the Plantars came to Earth, they had to deal with a persistent Andrias annoyance, easily dispatched with the help of Anne's parents. Another annoyance came into play in the flamboyant FBI agent Mr. X; when the FBI came knocking on the door of the Boonchuy family restaurant in search of food, and apparent alien activity, Mr. and Mrs. Boonchuy knew their daughter was in trouble; they were forced to stall the agents. Meanwhile, said daughter took the Plantars out on a movie day, confident they're able to handle every problem themselves. This soon came to a head when FBI special agent Mr. X, Jenners and agents spotted the Plantars, though the Boonchuy parents bailed them out easy.
Mr. X's recognition of the Plantars did him good as Anne took the Plantars out to Hollywood in "Hollywood Hop Pop"; due to Hop Pop auditioning for a commercial, he was shown on TV, and Mr. X recognized him. Soon, a chase through Hollywood's famed studios occurred, with Hop Pop using his apparent appearance similarities with an elderly actor named Humphrey Westwood to his advantage.
This all came to a head in "Escape to Amphibia", where Mr. X finally executed the plan to capture Anne and the Plantars. As Terri was on the verge of greatness activating her portal and managing to open a portal, albeit a small one, to Amphibia, the portal wasn't big enough to fit them all, forcing the Boonchuys to take a short trip to SpendCo. It was there the FBI finally caught the Plantars, imprisoning them in an FBI Base.
With a plan in motion, lots of friends in tow, and determination on their side, the team snuck into the compound, but they were caught by Mr. X and locked up. Meanwhile, Dr. Jan and Terri was able to steal the generator, allowing the team to escape captivity; Anne, donning a red StarBlade, fought off security and was able to free the Plantars, but soon the FBI was found on their tail. While they weren't successful, Mr. X tagged the truck, leading them to the location of Terri's portal just as Anne tapped into her Calamity powers to strengthen the portal.
Anne used Hop Pop's last avocado to lure a large Red mantis through the portal and into Earth, where it wreaked havoc and destroyed the portal, trapping Anne and the Plantars in Amphibia. Soon, the confident Mr. X even if he was found nervous by Anne's parents, who intimidated him.
Wartwood Resistance vs. Andrias[]
When Anne went back to Earth with the Plantars, Grime and Sasha escaped Andrias' castle after he stabbed Marcy. Joe Sparrow took them to Wartwood so they could hide out, with Andrias sending his robots to destroy them. With the help of the Wartwood citizens, Sasha and Grime successfully destroyed the robot army, and together, they formed the Wartwood Resistance and began to strike back. While the Plantars and Anne prepared to return to Amphibia from Earth, Andrias' forces attacked at full force, brainwashing the wild creatures of Amphibia and even targeting Wartwood and the Plantars' old home, the basement of which the Resistance converted to their new hideout. The Resistance would hide down there, waiting for their next move.
As the Plantars and Anne made it back to Amphibia, they saw the once-beautiful world devastated by Andrias' efforts to strip the land of its resources. From Newtopia to Wartwood, the island was now a dystopia filled with Frobots, brainwashed creatures and industrial machinery. They returned to Wartwood to find Sasha leading the new resistance against Andrias, which she passed to Anne temporarily. However, Sasha kept the leadership in the end after Anne was shown to be incapable of leading the resistance and reconciled with Anne.
The resistance went on a variety of missions to attack Andrias' robots and machinery to get resources and supplies, many of them having unexpected results.
Soon, they were in need of the Mother of Olms, so they trip over to Proteus, along with Lysil and Angwin, in search of answers and hopefully new allies. They would eventually reach Mother Olm, who tell them the prophecy. Captain Beatrix's Toad Army would soon ally with the Resistance after Sprig bests Grime in a duel.
On a mission to get more recruits, Anne, Loggle, and the Plantars got lost in the woods, and they soon end up at Hop Pop's apparent dream, the frog-majority gardening-centric village of Gardenton, lead by Horace and the fungus Apothecary Gary, who was thought to be dead following their encounter in "Children of the Spore". He survived by controlling his current host, Jeremy the beetle. Due to a tracking device attaching itself to the Fwagon, the village soon falls to an ambushing Frobot squadron. Realizing the potential of the psychic link he had created, Gary dropped the hostilities with the Plantars and works together to save the village, earning their rightful place as allies of the Resistance. Soon, Tritonio Espada and Domino 2 joined the Resistance, bringing with them Tritonio's band of bandits and Domino 2's air cavalry of Kill-a-moths.
With everyone united and the invasion starting very soon, Anne began to rally the frogs, newts and toads into working together, to no avail. It was after a show of Anne's calamity powers that the three armies learn how to work together. Soon, Mother Olm entered the base, telling the Resistance that Andrias' invasion efforts have begun.
The Resistance took off for Newtopia, where Sasha showed concern for her and Anne's friendship with Marcy, which was strained after she used the Box to take them to Amphibia; Sasha still held a grudge towards Marcy for that. However, Anne showed concern that she and Sasha never paid heed to Marcy's interests, likes and issues, and wanted to make things right.
Battle of Newtopia and the attempt to save Marcy[]
The Resistance reached Newtopia, which was being defended by an army of Frobots, and a short battle begun. The battle seemed to be in the favor of the Resistance before Andrias leaped down from his floating castle and scared off the fighters.
Meanwhile, Anne, Sasha, Grime and the Plantars reached the castle with the intentions of saving Marcy. This was where Sasha questioned if they were able to repair their friendship with Marcy following what happened, but Anne, having had a falling out with Hop Pop before, told her friend that forgiveness, while not easy, is worth the effort. Rejuvenated, Sasha was now determined to save Marcy.
On their way to the throne room, the heroes were stopped by a mind-controlled Olivia and Yunan, who work together in sync to overpower Anne and Sasha. However, the two girls found strength in working together in sync as they did before, and were able to break the mind-control collars. Olivia and Yunan warned them that Marcy changed, but Anne and Sasha disregarded their warnings and proceeded to get the Box, only to regret it mere seconds later as they found out that the Box was a hologram, and the real one was hidden away.
Soon, the heroes found themselves tied up by robot tentacles belonging to none other than the Core, or in this case, Darcy, who made fun of Anne and Sasha's grand strategy because she already predicted what they were going to do: reuse a tactic they learned from Marcy's favorite movie, War of the Warlocks, so Darcy could work around it and set a trap. Their pleas to the Core to let Marcy go were futile, and they were met with mocking remarks from the entity... scathing in particular was one doubting that Anne and Sasha were actually Marcy's friends. Now with their leaders under captivity, the Resistance flees, unable to fight a futile battle.
With all local resistance gone, Darcy, being checkmated into a position where they do not know the true powers of the Box's gems, decided to spare Anne's life in the pretext of extracting the powers themselves. Darcy then ordered Anne's captured friends to be fitted with mind-controlling collars as Andrias, finally fulfilling his mad dreams of conquest, opened a portal to Earth on full blast, allowing the castle and all of his military force to enter Los Angeles in midair.
Frog-vasion[]
Main article: Frog-vasion
Battle of Los Angeles[]
As the Newtopia Castle enters orbit above Los Angeles, Anne and the gang are restrained in the castle dungeon under Darcy's orders. King Andrias announces his presence to the inhabitants of Earth via broadcast, telling them that his Frobot invasion fleet will strip their world of all it resources to be used to conquer "more impressive worlds", wiping out the humanity in the process. Soon, he begins the destruction of the city, sending down two mind-controlled herons, soon joined by many Frobots, to wreak havoc. The military's efforts to ward off the opposing forces are soon halted, causing the commander to call in the FBI, and by extension, Mr. X.
Listening to the chaos below, Anne tries to break free using her powers, but Sprig and Hop Pop advises against it because of how much they drain her, Polly has Frobo use his laser eyes to cut everyone's restraints and make a hole in the floor. They fall several feet down and land in a pool. Anne points out two herons and a horrified Hop Pop recognizes them as the very same herons that killed Sprig and Polly's parents, having left a scar on one of them the very same night they attacked. Soon, Sasha sees a mother and child be cornered by Frobots, and the heroes quickly dispatch of them. They are soon joined by Mr. X and two suited gunners, revealed to be Anne's parents, who are now working for the FBI, and they drive off to Saint James to regroup.
They situate in a science lab, where Polly quickly sees a robotics club, utilizing its resources to upgrade Frobo. Mr. and Mrs. Boonchuy bring back food from Thai Go, and Grime has a bite, only to realize too late it is very spicy. Walking by Anne's old locker, she opens it and Sasha sees the essay her friend was assigned many months ago. Sasha asks how they will stop the invasion if Darcy knows their every move, but Anne assures her that Darcy only knows the "old them" and thus they're unsuspecting to their new abilities. She tells Sasha that it's who they are now that counts.
Meanwhile, inside the Core's mindscape, Marcy, with pieces of her memory missing, is doing another puzzle when a door materializes. She opens it to see the library of Newtopia, and is soon greeted by King Aldrich, who tells her she is the first human to join the Core. Marcy is confused on what the Core is, and how she got here, but Aldrich tells her it doesn't matter. He then creates a fantasy world for Marcy to enjoy, complete with map.
Back at the school, General Yunan, after being handed a blaster, finds she really likes earth weapons, Polly shows off the new and improved Frobo, and Anne gives everyone the battle strategy; she, her parents, the Plantars, and Mr. X will attack the army head-on while Sasha, Grime, Yunan and Lady Olivia will infiltrate the Castle and shut down the force field generator. Sprig still has the letter shown in "Newts in Tights" on him; he says that it's important but doesn't know how. Despite Hop Pop telling him that Anne might want to go back to her regular life after all this blows over, Sprig brushed off the possibility that he and Anne might not be together anymore when this is all over, or that things will at the very least be different.
During Darcy's onslaught, while they take great pleasure in all the destruction, Andrias remembers when he first met Marcy, and shortly after, the Core contacted him through his crown and reminded him of their long-time goal. The Core initially just wanted to kill Marcy to avoid the possibility of her fulfilling the prophecy, but Andrias convinced it to trick her and her friends into giving away their powers instead. Soon after flashing back, Andrias looks forlorn at the gift Marcy made for him as Darcy tells him he finally made amends after a millennia. Darcy soon sees that the heroes have escaped, but Andrias gloats that they will never get past the herons.
Anne and Sprig, flying on Domino 2, are being pursued by three smaller Frobos and a larger variant, which the both of them pick off easily. Terri and Dr. Jan saves a couple from an attacking Frobo, and Anne leads more Frobos to their doom as they face Polly, the new, upgraded Frobo which can transform into a combat mode which wipes the enemies out easily, and Hop Pop, who is also shown to have combat proficiency despite his age. However, the three are cornered by the Mind-Controlled herons, and they and Sprig are instantly overcome with trauma from the day their parents died. Anne calls for Frobo to fly them out of there, just in time. Meanwhile, Sasha's group, flying on Joe Sparrow, bypasses the shield and enters the castle, not knowing of the Cloak-Bots that await them.
After Anne rescues the Plantars from the herons, Hop Pop reaffirms their fear of why they hesitated earlier before shouting that the herons ruined their home. Soon, Anne's parents are attacked by a heron, which mimics the exact scenario that orphaned Sprig and Polly. Luckily, when they see the two in trouble, they pull themselves out of their funk and fear and fight back, ensnaring one in Frobo's ropes. After the collars come off the herons, the Plantars use their family dance to tame them and turn them against Andrias and his forces.
Meanwhile, Sasha's group infiltrate the castle, only to be ambushed by Cloak-Bots. Olivia and Yunan hold them off as Sasha and Grime charge for the shield generator. Soon, the two are also ambushed, this time by Darcy. Sasha is determined to stop Darcy, who wields a scythe, and free the human within, and soon they engage in battle.
Back down there, Mr. and Mrs. Boonchuy hold their own against two Frobots and end up liking the tech they're using. Andrias, now inside a big mech, leaps down and proposes a deal: he'll call off the invasion only if Anne beats him one-on-one. He then shows his power by destroying the Hollywood sign and challenges Anne to a rematch. Seeing the essay she was assigned, Anne admits that she didn't really love herself before arriving in Amphibia, and that she just went along with what was easy instead of caring about right or wrong, but after she met the Plantars, she was shown the person she wants to be. She and the Plantars share one last hug before she flies off on Domino 2. With the whole world - including Maggie and her principal, watching, she arrives at the tower where Andrias is at, and both exchange some pre-battle banter before Anne powers up and fights. However, she is quickly stopped and is soon at a disadvantage.
Meanwhile, the fight between Grime and Sasha against Darcy continues. Grime, wanting to perform a distraction, charges forward, but Darcy notices Sasha charging for the shield generator and throws her dagger at her, wounding Sasha's leg. With Sasha down for the count and ready to be scythed, Grime ends up pushing her out of the way of Darcy's Sinister Scythe, losing his arm in the process. Before he falls unconscious, Grime admits that before he met Sasha, he was just a bully in a tower, but she inspired him to be something more. Darcy tells an insensitive joke, causing an enraged Sasha to charge at them.
Anne continues to take Andrias on one-on-one, drawing her sword to her hand. Now at an advantage and now armed, Anne tells Andrias that hating himself for over a thousand years must be "hard". However, Andrias, having had enough, punches her into a nearby building and she is soon weakened, and her powers discharge. However, the crowd cheers her on with some K-pop in the background to inspire her to fight. Meanwhile, Sasha manages to score a hit on Darcy for Grime, but they soon engulf her in another conjured memory, distracting her long enough for Darcy to emerge from the shadows and land a hit on Sasha's back.
Back in the mindscape, Marcy gets what she thought she wanted in the form of seemingly endless adventures with Anne and Sasha, but she, having flashbacks to the very reason she brought her friends to Amphibia and looking at her copy of the "BFFS!!" photo, rejects it and her assimilation into the Core, because she wants her real friends, even if they disagree with her, not the puppet versions the Core provided. Aldrich warns her that her parents will still tear her friends apart, but Marcy proclaims she will not run away from reality anymore. Aldrich turns the mindscape into complete darkness, where Marcy tells Anne and Sasha that she believes in them...
Meanwhile, Anne continues to battle Andrias and manages to damage the mech. She seems to be at an advantage, but then her powers finally start running out. Andrias easily stops her and tosses her to the edge of the building; Sprig, seeing this, takes out a boomshroom, but the letter falls off of his pocket. Mr. X is able to analyze it as a letter to Andrias with a hidden message, so Sprig scans through it. He takes off on one of the herons to deliver the message just before Andrias pounds Anne into submission. Sprig slings one of the boomshrooms Andrias' way, and reveals the letter he had came from Leif. Andrias is taken aback when he hears Leif's name. Now seeing Leif's letter begging him to not to close himself off from others because of their broken friendship, Andrias, losing the will to fight is now anguished as it's too late to do so, and that he's crossed too many lines by now to possibly receive redemption or forgiveness. Meanwhile, Anne charges up her powers again, and is able to.
Sasha is cornered by Darcy and their scythe, but is distracted by Andrias losing the will to fight. Darcy is forced to take control of a saddened Andrias so he'll continue fighting Anne. This delay, and Grime passing her one of her swords, allows Sasha (taking what Anne said earlier and having just been called a "fellow control freak" just earlier) to slice at Darcy. At first it seems that she missed, but it turns out that she hit exactly what she meant to hit, the cord connecting her helmet to the main Core. Marcy is now freed from the Core.
Now free and taking Leif's advice to heart, Andrias lets the supercharged Anne deliver the finishing blow. Seeing this, the others and various citizens of LA, including the I.T. Girls and Principal Murphy, cheer over her victory. As Andrias lies defeated, it is revealed that he has stayed alive for a whole millennium with cybernetic enhancements and now the machines inside his body are now heavily damaged. This is just as the castle's defenses are lowered, allowing Anne and the Plantars to enter. Andrias tells Anne to save Marcy. Anne and Sasha cuddle Marcy, forgiving her and asking her to wake up as their tears fall down and wake her up. A saddened Marcy reveals her intentions, not wanting to move away, and Anne and Sasha comfort her, telling her that while things will change, their bond will never be broken, making Sprig a bit jealous. While everyone group-hugs each other, Darcy's helmet sprouts mechanical spider legs and sneaks away, revealing it may still be active. Anne then tells her parents that she, Sasha and Marcy are heading back to Amphibia to see if everyone back there is safe and both Sasha and Marcy asks the Boonchuys to tell their parents that they'll be okay, which they agree with. Due to the battle being broadcast live, it'll be easier to explain the absence to Sasha and Marcy's parents.
Fighting the Core[]
Meanwhile, back in Amphibia, the Wartwood Resistance continues to fight off what remains of the Frobot Army. Just then, they see the castle returning to Amphibia. Olivia announces their victory and everyone cheers. Meanwhile, the Core, having escaped earlier, launches itself into the Moon and propels it down to Amphibia. Back down there, Sasha mentions on how they didn't require the use of the prophecy, prompting Marcy to ask what she's talking about. Just as it seems like everything is going to be okay, Amphibia's moon starts falling, just like in Leif's vision.
Seeing this, Andrias recognizes this as the Core's "last gambit": if its attempts at supreme multiversal domination is halted somehow, it'll take the moon and push it down to the surface, destroying all and everything on it (like a "giant, sore loser" according to Sasha). However, it's about time for the Calamity Trio to fight the fall, a choice that will determine the fate of all. Aided by the elusive Newt Valeriana, the gems' powers are transferred to the trio. Now supercharged with Calamity powers, and with the prophecy finally realized, the three stars, burning bright, fly up to space and beyond to expel the night and its creations. They make short work of the pet projects the Core has stored in the moon.
A weakened Andrias, seeing the girls push against the moon, sends his entire Frobot army to aid them, to Grime's surprise and against the Core and his father's wishes. He then proceeds to severe his connection to it by destroying the crown. However, the Core fights back, and Sasha and Marcy's powers are fading fast. Anne, taking the other two stones, makes the decision to face it herself, shocking her friends as she sends them down there.
Anne takes the two stones and powers up as a shocked Sprig flies up on Frobo, pleading for her not to do it, but Anne is deadset on the sacrifice; the decision that will determine the fate of all. Sprig sobs for his BFF, and Frobo takes Sprig down to the surface. Anne makes the ultimate sacrifice, combining the three gems' powers to send a high-intensity laser beam through the Core's helmet and the moon, destroying it and ending the threat of the Core for good.
But with great power, comes a great cost. Anne, now petrified, is taken down to the surface, and breathes her last before fading away on Sprig's arms and becoming one with the calamity realm.
After a lengthy talk with the guardian of the gems (who takes on the form of Domino after Anne takes confusion to its classic iMac computer form), Anne is put back in the mortal realm, where she tearfully reunites with everyone - especially Sprig. The guardian left her the shards of the gems which she can use to get back, but is one-use only and can only be used for that purpose. The human girls say their farewells to everyone, especially with Anne and Sprig, who'll now be separated by dimension with no way to visit. Valeriana opens the box one last time and the girls enter the portal. However, before she leaves, Sprig hugs Anne one last time; she would leave and the portal closes, severing the connection between the two worlds one last time.
The box fades away from Valeriana's hands and Polly grows her first hair. Over nine months, Amphibia would go on to be rebuilt into the best state it has ever been in a thousand years. Sprig and Ivy go on new adventures, Polly grows into a full-sized frog, Olivia and Yunan would be engaged, and Andrias would retire to be a farmer; while a newt of his talent, he had levelled Amphibia's fauna and he now has to take charge of regrowing it.
Meanwhile, back on Earth, the girls would go on to live their regular lives; ten years on, Sasha has now taken up psychology, Marcy has moved on and Anne works at the Aquarium of the Pacific, having named a particular frog Sprig, constructed a replica Plantar farm and running an exhibit there about the world of frogs, newts and toads - fittingly named after Amphibia.
