Tiron is the main antagonist of the Star Trek: Deep Space Nine episode "Meridian".
He was portrayed by Jeffrey Combs, who later played the recurring villains Brunt and Weyoun, as well as Shran in Star Trek: Enterprise and Herbert West in the Re-Animator films and voicing Brainiac in Injustice 2.
Biography[]
Tiron was a sleazy business associate of Quark. He took a liking to Major Kira after meeting her in Quark's and tracked her down to the replimat the next day. Kira deflected his attention by claiming Odo was her lover, which Odo backed up. Tiron enquired how much Odo earned as chief of security. Kira said money wasn't everything, prompting Tiron to agree...but add that it could buy everything.
Tiron tried to hire one of Quark's holosuites but found the programme boring. Quark offered him another programme but Tiron revealed what he really wanted was a hologram of Kira, offering Quark a large sum of money to help him. Quark agreed but Tiron was frustrated when days went by with no results. Quark told him that he had acquired a decryption protocol which would allow him to download Kira's details from the station computer.
Quark summoned Tiron and told him the programme was ready. Tiron told him he'd get his payment after Tiron had tried out the programme, noting he might buy it for the holosuite he'd bought himself if he was really satisfied. Unfortunately for him, Kira and Odo had found out about the scheme and altered the programme. When he entered the holosuite, he was confronted by a seductive and scantily-clad version of Kira...with Quark's head. Horrified, Tiron fled the holosuite and the bar after telling Quark he would ruin him for this.
Trivia[]
Tiron was the antagonist of the episode's B-plot. However, the A-plot has no antagonist.
