D'Nesh is a female Orion and an antagonist introduced in the Star Trek: Enterprise episode "Bound".
She was portrayed by Crystal Allen.
History[]
Along with Navaar and Maras, D'Nesh was one of the Three Sisters, a group of Orion women who controlled the Orion Syndicate. Publicly, she led the Three Sisters along with Navaar, while the Maras sat there and played dumb. However, Maras was far more intelligent than she let on, and was in fact the power behind the other two sisters.
In 2153, D'Nesh and her sisters attempted to take control of the United Earth vessel Enterprise and capture Jonathan Archer. As part of the plan they convinced Captain Archer to "rescue" them from their "master" Harrad-Sar. In reality, Sar was the slave of Navaar and her sisters. Their plot was foiled thanks to Commander Tucker being immune to their pheromones, and they were forced to make the long journey back to the Orion homeworld on impulse power.
During the long journey home D'Nesh and her sisters spent a considerable amount of time punishing Harrad-Sar before realizing they would need to work with him in order to survive. After nearly a year in space the group finally reached home.
After the United Federation of Planets was formed in 2161, D'Nesh and her sisters saw the Federation's introduction of law and order to the Alpha Quadrant as a threat to them and their interests. D'Nesh and her sisters engaged in a number of plots to contain or destroy the new nation.
Due to the influence of Maras, D'Nesh and Navaar both backed the Saurian tyrant Maltuvis as he took over Sauria, hoping to have the Federation blamed for the takeover. Working with various allies, the three women also attempted to sabotage the admission of Rigel into the Federation. When the debate over the future Prime Directive took place in 2166, Navaar and her sisters tried to encourage the Federation to become isolationist in their outlook, and to engineer another disaster on Sauria that they could have the Federation blamed for.
However, the plot failed when Dular Garos decided to no longer work with the Three Sisters, and the intelligence agent Devna turned against them as well.
