Hi. This is Thesecret1070. I am an admin of this site. Edit as much as you wish, but one little thing... If you are going to edit a lot, then make yourself a user and login. Other than that, enjoy Villains Wiki!!!
The HD-25 was a hologram from the planet Seros, used as a maintenance unit aboard a spacecraft. He noted he was responsible for cleaning the reactor core and purging antimatter waste, and never left the antimatter storage chamber. He created a holographic fish, Spectrum, as a pet. He developed an obsession with germs and a fanatical hatred of organic lifeforms, who he saw as disgusting and causing a mess aboard the ship. He murdered the six organic crewmembers but, lacking the skill and knowledge to repair and operate the ship, was forced to send out a distress call.
The signal was answered by Lieutenant Torres and the holographic Doctor from USS Voyager. The HD-25 came close to attacking them when they came aboard but his matrix was failing as a result of the damage to the ship. He told them the crew had all died of a virus and that the level where he had hidden the bodies was contaminated with radiation. He conversed at length with the Doctor, who spoke of how he had convinced Voyager's crew to treat him as an equal and suggested the HD-25 could do the same. The HD-25 brought Torres food while she was carrying out repairs but was unable to contain his hatred of organics, ranting that she was a biological cage of flesh, blood and bone and expressing disgust at the way she ate.
The HD-25 told the Doctor he had no intention of returning to Seros and intended to take the ship away on his own once it was repaired, encouraging the Doctor to come with him. He then realised Torres had entered the supposedly irradiated level and attacked her, using his holographic nature to try and crush her heart. Torres shut down the emitters but the ones in the control area remained functioning and he reappeared there. He fought with the Doctor and, although their intangible natures made them immune to each other's blows, managed to hit his holo-emitter and deactivate him. He then tried to kill Torres again only for her to use an isomimetic conduit to destablise his matrix, effectively killing him.
Trivia[]
A number of sources refer to the character as "Dejaren". There is no mention of him having a name in the episode, which seems at odds with the idea of him being treated as a simple tool.
