Similar to Boom Boom in design, Pom Pom is a rather muscular, large humanoid reptile with pink skin and a red and tan head and shell (Albeit the shell also has lighter patches on it). Besides that, she as a large, flat head, blonde hair styled into a ponytail by green beads, a stubby nose, two large fangs, long arms with clawed hands, short legs with clawed feet, and a short tail. Her boomerangs are pink, with lighter ridges and a red bow at one of the points.
Biography[]
Super Mario 3D Land[]
Pom Pom first appears in Super Mario 3D Land as a recurring boss, being fought on three airships across the fourth, sixth, and seventh world. Here, her staple attacks of throwing boomerangs and wildly spinning around in her shell are first shown here.
Super Mario 3D World[]
Pom Pom appears as the boss of the level "The Bullet Bill Express" in World 3, "The Bowser Express" in World Bowser, and "Boss Blitz" in World Flower. She fights similarly to Super Mario 3D Land, but uses shurikens instead of boomerangs. She can also create copies of herself, with her clones having gray shurikens instead of pink.

In Super Mario Maker 2, Pom Pom appears as a boss in the Super Mario 3D World style.
Mario Party[]
Pom Pom is playable in Super Mario Party by clearing the fifth world of Challenge Road, Salty Sea. This marks her first and currently only game where she is not accompanied with Boom Boom.
Mario Sports Superstars[]
Pom Pom appears as a playable character in baseball matches, labeled under the Power class. She has high hitting and stamina, but poor fielding and speed. In soccer matches, Pom Pom is one of the selectable goalies. In the Road to Superstar minigame, Pom Pom can appear as a boss, and attacks by throwing boomerangs at the player. In her rage mode, she creates copies of herself that all throw boomerangs. As the final boss, she teams up with Boom Boom.
Dr. Mario series[]
Pom Pom is an obtainable assistant in Dr. Mario World. Her stage mode ability grants a 50-100% chance one color of virus will be eliminated, and her versus mode ability gives 20-100% chance a color of virus will be eliminated if the player is losing.
Mario & Sonic at The Olympic Games[]
Pom Pom appears as a goalie in football events in Mario & Sonic at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games.
Super Smash Bros.[]
Pom Pom appears alongside Boom Boom in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate as a single ace-class attack-type primary spirit, the enhanced form of the Boom Boom spirit. Their ability increases charge speed for smash attacks.
Trivia[]
She is the second Koopa to have a different skin color instead of yellow or golden skin, the first being Morton Koopa Jr..
