Wario Land 3[]
Seeking for liberation, he beseeches Wario's assistance, imploring him to break the seals of these treacherous music boxes and restore his long-lost abilities. Initially, Wario displays hesitancy, for he is a character known for his self-serving ways. However, the god cunningly entices Wario by promising to grant him safe passage back to his own world and permit him to retain any precious treasures he may stumble upon during his perilous quest. Intrigued and enticed by the prospect of personal gain, Wario begrudgingly agrees to embark on this daunting expedition, setting forth on a mission to retrieve all five music boxes. Unbeknownst to Wario, this journey will be fraught with perils and challenges, testing his wit, agility, and greed. Nonetheless, our resolute hero marches ahead, fueled by the tantalizing promises of freedom and untold riches that await him upon the successful completion of his quest. In the captivating world of Wario Land 3, a mesmerizing tale unfolds as our beloved character, Wario, finds himself trapped within the confines of a mystical music box. It is within this confounding realm that a mysterious figure, concealed by the shadows, emerges before Wario's eyes. This enigmatic being reveals himself as the god of the music box world, burdened by the shackles of an evil force that has cunningly sealed away his divine powers within five music boxes.
Throughout the duration of the game, Wario has the opportunity to seek out a secretive individual located at The Temple. This mysterious figure provides Wario with guidance on which specific level he should conquer next in order to advance in the game. However, once Wario successfully collects all five music boxes, this hidden figure no longer offers advice. Instead, if Wario pays him a visit, the music boxes emit a melody that sets the figure free. Astonishingly, the concealed individual then undergoes a transformation, revealing his true identity as a colossal clown adorned with skull patterns. He boldly proclaims his intention to seize control not only over the world within the music boxes but also the outer world. Subsequently, it is unveiled that this malevolent entity is responsible for transforming the inhabitants of the world into the monstrous adversaries that Wario had vanquished throughout his journey. It becomes apparent that Wario unwittingly became a pawn in the hidden figure's quest to break free from the curse imposed upon him by the denizens of the music box realm when he had previously attempted to seize power.
In this high-stakes encounter, Wario must employ all his cunning, agility, and timing to overcome the hidden figure's relentless onslaught. With each leap onto the hands and strategic throw of the captured fist, Wario inches closer to victory while simultaneously evading the looming threat of a potential Game Over. To stand a chance against this formidable boss, Wario must devise a strategy to weaken his opponent's hands. By skillfully leaping onto the figure's hands, Wario can render them temporarily incapacitated, leaving them sprawled on the ground. This momentary vulnerability creates an opportunity for Wario to seize the enemy's clenched fist and hurl it directly at their nose, dealing damage with each successful hit. The boss's resilience becomes evident as it withstands two of these impactful blows. As the battle intensifies, the hidden figure's aggression escalates. It adapts to the situation and begins to grab at Wario more frequently, making it increasingly challenging for our hero to evade its clutches. Furthermore, the figure's frustration grows palpable after enduring three strikes to its face, pushing it into a state of anger and potentially unleashing even more ferocious attacks. In this intense encounter, an elusive and mysterious figure launches a relentless assault on Wario using their bare hands, diligently trying to either snatch or crush him. Unlike other boss battles in the game, this particular confrontation does not allow for any pause or respite, adding an extra layer of difficulty and urgency. What sets this hidden figure apart from all the other adversaries in the game is their unique ability to instantly end the player's progress if they manage to successfully grab hold of Wario. This makes it the sole attack in the entire game capable of delivering an immediate Game Over.
Once Wario successfully lands four hits on the hidden figure, the formidable opponent is finally defeated, bringing an end to the chaos in the music box world. As a result, the inhabitants, who had been trapped in a state of despair, are miraculously restored to their original state of being. Overwhelmed with gratitude for Wario's heroic efforts, they decide to bid him farewell and send him back to his own world. However, not wanting his endeavors to go unrewarded, they generously allow Wario to retain all the precious treasures he had discovered during his adventurous journey.
