~ Crash Man
Crash Man (known as Clash Man in Japan) is one of the eight Robot Masters in Mega Man 2, where he appears as a boss. Crash Man has orange armor and has cannons on his arms, allowing him to launch his special weapon, the Crash Bomber. These explosives drill into their target to score an easy hit, then explode, damaging the target if they are not removed in time.
He is voiced by Terry Klassen in the 1994 cartoon, Koji Tobe in The Power Battle, and Megumi Tano in Super Adventure Rockman who also voiced Top Man in the game of the same name.
Built by Dr. Wily using Guts Man and Bomb Man as a basis, and given two machines that fire explosives known as Crash Bombers, a tough shell to be resistant to explosions, Crash Man is an honest figure and abides by his commander's wishes. Clumsy without arms, Crash Man is also rather moody, being peaceful one moment and aggressive the next. He likes to wreck buildings, but doesn't care for recycling.
Mega Man 2[]
Crash Man runs back and forth during a battle. Whenever Mega Man tries to attack, Crash Man will respond by jumping and shooting his Crash Bombers. The explosives will attach to wherever Mega Man is standing and they will explode. By running, jumping and then shooting, Mega Man will likely inflict damage onto Crash Man. Air Man's weapon, the Air Shooter, is the most effective attack against Crash Man.
Mega Man 3[]
Crash Man returns in Mega Man 3. His tactics and weapons are borrowed by one of Wily's Doc Robots. Unlike in Mega Man 2, Crash Man's attacks are stronger and they cover a wider amount of space. The Hard Knuckle and Top Spin are the most effective weapons to be used as counter-attacks. When the Doc Robot is defeated, Crash Man doesn't appear again.
Mega Man II[]
Crash Man is one of the first four bosses. the fight is similar to the first game he made his debut in, but is much more harder to defeat as the Air Shooter only registers one hit, which makes the player to use more shots to take him down. Because the space is small in the boss arena, This makes the Crash Bombs very difficult to dodge.
RockBoard[]
In RockBoard, A Boss Card Clash Card can be used to summon him, he will set a Crash Bomb in one of buildings. The bomb explodes in the next turn lowering it.
Mega Man: The Power Battle[]
In The Power Battle, Crash Man is one of the six bosses in the 1-2 Course. Unlike the previous games, He attacks by only using one Crash Bomb; He will sometimes jump and throw four on the floor making the large area on the floor get covered with the explosions. Additionally he has a different weakness which is the Rolling Cutter.
Mega Man & Bass[]
Crash Man appears as a CD cameo in Ground Man's stage. It is located in a room with tikis guarding it; The Lightning Bolt, Spread Drill of the Spike guard are required to reach it.
Super Adventure Rockman[]
In Super Adventure Rockman, he and the other robots of Dr. Wily were rebuilt by Ra Moon. Crash Man is the final of Mega Man 2's eight boss battles, appearing suddenly in Episode 2, and attacking the titular protagonist with all his might.
In addition to his Crash Bomber, Crash Man can also attack with other weapons hidden within his body including a rapid-fire weapon on his shoulder and a large bomb on his back that splits into three or more Crash Bombs when attacked. If the player fails to defeat Crash Man, Fire Man will appear and save Mega Man giving him another chance to fight Crash Man again.
Crash Man and the other robots then revive again near the end of Episode 3, only to be betrayed and become the victims of being attacked by Ra Moon. Crash Man and the others (Aside from Shadow Man) are seemingly destroyed along with Ra Moon in the Moon Temple.
Other Media[]
Super Smash Bros.[]
Crash Man appears as a support spirit in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate that makes the fighter start the battle equipped with a Bomber. His spirit battle is a stamina battle against three orange Mega Man that prioritize using their side special (Crash Bomber) that deals extra damage.
Ruby-Spears Cartoon[]
Crash-Man makes his only cartoon appearance in Mega-Pinocchio, which has him use time bombs for his main weapon. He speaks in a vaguely Italian-sounding tone. His voice actor is Terry Klassen.
