Mr. Riley is the overarching antagonist of the 2009 comic series Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2: Ghost. He is the father of Simon and Tommy Riley, and abused his oldest son during his childhood until he joined the military.

Biography[]

Background[]

He was born presumably in the 1960's in Manchester, England. He was part of a band named Bone Lickers, but was soon fired. He eventually married an unnamed woman and had a son, whom he named Simon Riley, and eventually another son whom he named Tommy. While Simon was growing up, Riley brought multiple dangerous animals, such as a snake he nicknamed Rocco, to his household and tormented his son. He would later make fun of him when Tommy would play with the snake. He would later bring Ghost to a concert, pay for a prostitute, then kill her. He would then force his son to laugh at the dying prostitute.

In 2004, Riley attended a concert. While preforming, Riley made multiple sly remarks towards the 'Maggots'. One of the party-goers yells at Riley, only to be hit in the head. Ghost then arrived and dragged his father out of the concert, and proceeded to throw him into a garbage area. Riley then got up and proceeded to smoke. Ghost then berated Riley, stating that he and the rest of his family didn't need him anymore. Riley then provoked a fight, and was punched in the face by Ghost. Sometime after Tommy's wedding in 2007 and Riley leaving the family, he was diagnosed with cancer.

Modern Warfare 2: Ghost[]

In December of 2010, Ghost paid a visit to his father in the hospital, after finding out about the rest of his family's deaths. Ghost threatened Riley, but soon left. Minutes later, Kevin Sparks and Marcus Washington arrived, asking where Ghost's whereabouts were. Riley then began to taunt Sparks, and was then gunned down inside his hospital bed.

Legacy[]

After his death, his abusiveness towards his son made him hardly speak, but Mr. Riley was avenged alongside his wife and Tommy when Ghost killed Roba.
