The Dark Covenant are major antagonists in the 2019 game Call of Duty: Mobile and its comics. It is a Secret Dark cultist faction of cultists, operatives and brutes led by Stansfield.

Background[]
After Stansfield escaped Vorkuta, Stansfield created The Dark Covenant and recruited Cecilia "Dame" Perrin, Anna "Artery" Buckler, Dark Shepherd, Kryptis aka Dark Rider, Witch Doctor, Édouard "Templar" Couteau, Krystof "Firebreak" Hejek and the other Dark Covenant Brutes and Operatives.
Call of Duty: Mobile[]
In Panama, The Dark Covenant was summoned by Cecilia "Dame" Perrin and introduces Stansfield, Anna "Artery" Buckler, Kryptis (aka Dark Rider), Witch Doctor & Dark Shepherd. When Templar betrays Rorke, Stansfield joins and assists the covenant members in by taking out his mercs. Dark Shepherd, Artery, Dark Rider, Witch Doctor and Dame assassinated Rorke's soldiers, When Rorke tries to make a run, He prevented Rorke from escaping by blowing up his ship, leaving him trapped with them. Later On, Dame Kills Rorke by slitting his throat.
In Blackout Island, when Templar betrays them after Dame refuses to let his daughter Sophia go after they argue, he kills dame by slitting her throat & goads the rest of the Dark Covenant into fighting him. Templar throws his knives at Kryptis injuring him, slices Witch Doctor's purifier and injuring Dark Shepherd, Artery rushes to Templar and attacks him by slashing his armor, Templar replies he will get Sophia back, Dark Shepherd questions him how will he intend to do that since he has no allies, resources and intel, Templar claims "By any means necessary." Later on, Templar seriously injured The Dark Covenant by Triumph, Witch Doctor is seen carrying a seriously injured Dark Shepherd and Artery who vows their fight isn't over.
Later, Ghost and Templar worked together to Hunt down The Dark Covenant. First was Witch Doctor who is in a Ship but gets ambushed by Templar and ghost by eliminating the guards, Templar uses his knife to presumably kill Witch Doctor. the second was Kryptis aka Dark Rider who is riding on a motorcycle but he gets apprehended by Templar by destroying his motorcycle, Later, Ghost and Templar presumably killed Kryptis. The third was Dark Shepherd who is on a hovercraft with his guards. Ghost and Templar eliminated the guards, Ghost and Templar apprehended Dark Shepherd and Templar uses a knife around his neck, Later Templar presumably killed Dark Shepherd. The final target was Artery who is in a hotel interrogating a hostage. later, Ghost breaches in and Artery attempts to escape but her foot got caught by Templar who interrogated Artery and Artery gives intel to Ghost and Templar the location of Stansfield, Alaska 584S. Templar lets go of Artery, presumably killing her.
In Alaska, 584S, the plane touches down, Sliver, Alex Keller, Soap, Vagr Modir and her wolf, Ghost and Templar agree the deal to rescue Sophia and retrieve the DSM. As the bay doors open and Ghost and Templar get out, Firebreak and The Dark Covenant Operatives arrive to ambush the group. Firebreak uses his purifier to torch the area surrounding the plane, separating the group. As Ghost and Templar flee the scene to continue the mission, the remaining passengers begin to hold off The Dark Covenant. after a bit of fighting, Alex gets his leg severed from Firebreak's D13 Sector, and Vagr Modir drags him to safety. Ghost and Templar infiltrate the Alaskan Facility, they split up, with Ghost making his way to Stansfield, and Templar seeking a data terminal for the DSM and his daughter. Ghost finds Stansfield, and they exchanged words, Stansfield compares to Ghost his "new self", claiming Ghost enjoys the thrill of battle. Later on, Ghost and Stansfield fight and also kills Stansfield by gouging his eyeballs and breaking his neck, killing him. Templar, after transferring some data into his DSM, finds her daughter tied up in a room. As he retrieves her, he calms her by saying that they will be able to get back a normal life, and as he begins to slaughter the Dark Covenant guards, He asks Sophia to close her eyes. As Templar makes his way through the facility, he regrets having pulled Sophia into such a dangerous life, and he notes "I am death, and that is all I will ever be." but he believes Sophia could succeed in having a normal life of her own. As Templar prepares to exfil with Nikto with his chopper, he spots Vagr Modir pinned to the ground by a Dark Covenant Operative, and as he rushes to help, Nikto asks Templar what he's doing. Templar replies "For once, the right thing." as he pulls the soldier off of Vagr, he pulls her up as Ghost and reinforcements arrive. Later, The Dark Covenant was defunct.
