Judge Harold Garrett is a minor antagonist in Law & Order: Criminal Intent, appearing as the main antagonist of the episodes "In the Wee Small Hours (Part I)" and "In the Wee Small Hours (Part II)".
He was a judge who came under investigation when his son, Ethan, was under investigation for rape.
He was portrayed by Colm Meaney who also portrayed King of Hearts in Alice, Captain Myles Standish in Free Birds, the Miles O'Brien Changeling in Star Trek: Deep Space Nine and Pat Farrell in Alan Partridge: Alpha Papa.
Biography[]
Harold Garrett was a judge in the New York State Supreme Court and was married to a woman named Elise Garrett. The two had one son together, Ethan Garrett, who was accused of the rape and murder of Bethany Lunden after Harold had been a judge for fifteen years. During further investigation, it was revealed that Harold had slept with Lunden shortly before her death and he was put on trial and found guilty. It was initially believed that Harold had murdered Lunden as well, however, it was revealed that it was his wife who had murdered the girl and tried to pin the blame on her husband. She was also arrested and Harold resigned as a judge and gave up his license to practice law.
