This page describes all of Arturo Santiago's relationships with his family and friends. His family[]Ronnie Anne[]Despite her parents being divorced, Ronnie Anne cares very much about her father and still maintains a good relationship with him while he is living in Peru and stays in touch via video chats. In "Roll Model with the Casagrandes", he calls her to inform her the clinic in Peru is up and running. After being told about her situation with Carl, he tells her that she did the same thing with Bobby when she was Carl's age. Ronnie Anne finds it hard to believe, so Arturo tells her to confirm it with her brother. In "Lucha Fever with the Casagrandes", after being informed by Rosa that she's sick (when really she's faking it), he calls her to check and see how she's doing. In "Snack Pact", Ronnie Anne calls him while he's in the middle of testing the healing powers of bat dung to ask if Sergio can stay with him in Peru for a while due to him blackmailing them. In "Operation Dad", she becomes excited by his news of visiting the city for a while and intends to make his visit so worth it, Arturo would want to move to Great Lakes City. Ronnie Anne is the first to greet him at the airport and they arrive to the apartment where everyone but Hector greets him with warm welcomes. The next day, they travel the city while taking memorable pictures together. When Ronnie Anne asks her father to consider moving in the city, Arturo explains that as much as he would like to, he made a commitment to his patients in Peru. With some inspiration from Sid, Ronnie Anne comes up with a plan to pretend to be a punk rebel throwing her life away to convince Arturo that she needs his help and to stay. He sees through her facade however, leading Ronnie Anne to admit that she doesn't want him to go back to Peru. At first, Arturo decides to stay, but when she reads through a collection of thank you letters from all of his patients, Ronnie Anne decides to let her father leave. She makes him a scrapbook so he can remember their time together. And then, after looking through the scrapbook, he finally decides to take a job at his headquarters so he can stay permanently as his co-worker fills in for him in Peru. In "Away Game", he lets his children sleepover at his apartment for the weekend, where they make pizza for dinner and play video games he bought for their visit. It is also mentioned by Ronnie Anne that he took them go-kart racing and indoor rock climbing. Later, he takes them to the batting cages, but had to take them home early after Bobby took a baseball to the head. After Rosa was caught in his apartment, she confesses that she didn't want Ronnie Anne and Bobby to live with Arturo, but Arturo explains that the two are their happiest when at their real home, since it's where their family is. Bobby[]Arturo loves Bobby very much. In "Operation Dad", Bobby reveals that he used to try to make Arturo stay in the USA just like Ronnie Anne was doing, but it didn't work so he gave up. In "Away Game", Bobby and Ronnie Anne went to him for the weekend. In "This Bird Has Flown", he is seen with Bobby when he anticipates for his son to be employee of the mouth. Maria[]Despite being divorced, they still get along very well and care for their children. In "Operation Dad", they saw each other for the first time in a long while, and both felt awkward about it, but eventually they decided to be best friends. In "Vacation Daze", he asks her about a strange inflamed rash on his hand twice, but she is too busy the first time, and too tired the second, so she can't help him. In "Date with Destiny", while Maria and Arturo don't get back together (at least not romantically yet), it's clear that they still love and care about each other as friends and they both obviously still love and care about not just their kids, but the rest of their family as well. In a way, Ernesto's prophecy did come true. Casagrande Family[]Hector[]Hector and Arturo's relationship is mixed. In "Operation Dad", Hector is the only one who seems less than pleased about the possibility of Arturo staying in Great Lakes City, and he keeps frowning at him, then eats his dinner, but he does hug him when he decides to stay behind. Rosa[]Arturo and Rosa's relationship is mixed, but leaning on positive. In "Operation Dad", Rosa is excited about the possibility of Arturo staying in Great Lakes City, and cooks him some very spicy chilli. She also claims to him that she's psychic and can see him neglecting to wash his hands. In "Away Game", Rosa fears that the Santiago siblings will want to move in with Arturo, and they'll have nothing to do or eat or that Bobby would fall out of bed in his apartment. Carlos[]Carlos and Arturo get along very well. "Operation Dad" reveals that Carlos apparently used to have a "man crush" (a platonic admiration by one man towards another) on Arturo. Carlos tries to impress Arturo by wearing a Peruvian manta, but becomes embarrassed when Arturo reveals that the mantas are mostly worn by old women. Frida[]Frida and Arturo don't interact a lot, but she does like him. In "Operation Dad", Frida, despite chiding Carlos for the "man crush" he had on Arturo in the past, cries when she thinks Arturo is going back to Peru and tearfully takes a photo of Arturo and Hector hugging. Carlota[]Carlota loves Arturo very much. In "Operation Dad", she describes him as "the coolest" and makes him a bedroom. However, Arturo finds the bed she made him too soft and prefers to sleep in a hammock. At dinner, she asks him what Peruvian fashion is like. CJ[]CJ greatly admires his uncle Arturo. In "Operation Dad", CJ says that, "Tio rules!" and tries to spare Arturo's feelings by preventing Hector from scowling. CJ also disapproves of Sergio's idea to lock Arturo in a cage. Carl[]Carl loves Arturo. "Operation Dad" reveals that Carl thinks of Arturo as "a boss" for being a doctor and having lived in the jungle. He wants to offer Arturo his futon to sleep on, however somebody (suspected by Ronnie Anne to be Sergio) had puked crackers on it. Carl asks Arturo what the craziest injury he treated was over dinner, then later is against Sergio's plan of locking Arturo in a cage and dresses up as a rebel to help sell Ronnie Anne's lie that she has gone bad. Carlitos[]Carlitos doesn't interact with Arturo as much as his niece or his other nephews, but he still appreciates him. In "Operation Dad", he asks Rosa to make Arturo's favourite food and then later cries when he thinks Arturo is leaving. Loud family[]Lori[]Arturo first met Lori in "Day of the Dad", which started off on the wrong foot after Lori pushed him into a puddle upon hailing a taxi on her way to meet Bobby for lunch with his dad. He later met Lori again at Bobby's apartment--this time with Lori disguised in Bobby's kigurumi--and they got along well. But the following day, when Lori encountered him again not in disguise, she accidentally erased all his memories with an invention of Lisa's. Lori managed to restore Arturo's memories by shoving him into a puddle again, which shocked and angered him at first. However, after Lori explained the whole story, Arturo forgave her and the two had a fresh start.
