Based on Oden's Two Sword Style, some of his retainers developed personal single-sword techniques, dubbed Oden One Sword/Blade Style (おでん一刀流,Oden Ittōryū?).[3]
Oden Two Sword Style is a Strong Blade style of dual wielding swordsmanship invented by Oden. In addition to incorporating superhuman strength, it places a particular emphasis on advanced Ryuo, providing the user a massive increase in cutting power and strength, elevating their swordsmanship techniques enough that they become able to cut and slash through massive creatures and structures with relative ease and skill.[4] According to Oden, Oden Two Sword Style is the greatest sword style.[5]
Oden wanted to teach his swordsmanship style to his retainers, but they refused. However, during their battle with Kaidou 20 years after Oden's death, in honor of their master, Ashura Doji, Kin'emon, Denjiro, and Inuarashi imitated an Oden Two Sword Style technique in unison.[6] However, the injury their combined attack inflicted on Kaidou was not as deep as Oden's usage due to their individual strength and Ryuo mastery still being severely inferior to Oden's.[7]

Techniques
Kouzuki Oden
Togen Shirataki.
Tougen Shirataki (桃源白滝,Tōgen Shirataki?, literally meaning "Peach Meadow White Waterfall/Cascade"): Oden hardens both his swords using Ryuo and then delivers a diagonal slash with each one of them at the same time. This technique has immense power, range, and precision, as seen when Oden used the technique to bisect the massive Mountain God,[8] without killing the giant boar or harming the citizens that it had devoured.[9] When performing it in the anime, Oden not only imbues his swords' blade, but also their hilts and his own arms.[10]Shirataki is a type of Japanese noodles and a popular ingredient in oden, which follows the oden-themed naming scheme of Oden's techniques, while Tougen refers to the type of earthly paradise known as either Shangri-la or The Peach Blossom Spring/Land, also known fully as Tougenkyou (lit. Peach Meadow Land/Country). This is called Paradise Waterfall in the VIZ manga and Funimation adaptations and Oden Two-Sword Style Paradise Waterfall in the English localization of One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4.
Gun Modoki (銃・擬鬼,Gan Modoki?, literally meaning "Gun Quasi-Ogre/Demon"): After hardening his swords using Ryuo, Oden crosses his swords and charges forward, slicing anyone in his path. When Oden used this technique, he was able to defeat several members of the Roger Pirates at once.[11] The attack name is a pun on ganmodoki, Japanese fried tofu fritter made with vegetables and a popular side for oden, in keeping with the naming scheme of Oden's techniques. This is called Gun Modoki in the VIZ manga and Funimation adaptations and Oden Two-Sword Style Gun Modoki in the English localization of One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4.
Togen Totsuka.
Tougen Totsuka (桃源十拳,Tōgen Totsuka?, literally meaning "Peach Meadow Ten Fists"): Oden's most powerful technique. After hardening his swords using advanced Ryuo, Oden leaps toward his opponent, and performs an X-shaped slash. The attack was so powerful that it made the Mythical Zoan enhanced nigh-indestructible Kaidou scream in pain, knocked him to the ground, and gave him a massive and permanent scar.[12] "Totsuka" is a reference to the four Totsuka-no-Tsurugi mentioned in Japanese mythology, one of them being Ame no Habakiri. This is called Paradise Totsuka in the VIZ manga and Funimation adaptations and Oden Two-Sword Style Paradise Totsuka in the English localization of One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4.
Non-Canon
Shimi Daikon (侍魅大魂,Shimi Daikon?, literally meaning "Great Spirit of Samurai"): Oden imbues his swords with an extra amount of Ryuo, then charges the opponent with the swords crossed behind his own head, then uncrosses them in a single motion, eventually unleashing the Ryuo and cutting into them at once. Each sword wears a long ryuo blade extension as a result of this technique. Oden uses this attack only in the anime, to defeat Ashura Doji.[13] The name is a pun on shimidaikon, daikon cut into slices as ingredients in oden. In the Funimation adaptations, this is called Samurai Great Spirit.
Nine Red Scabbards
Togen Totsuka (桃源十拳,Tōgen Totsuka?, literally meaning "Peach Meadow Ten Fists"): Kouzuki Oden's most powerful technique performed by Ashura Doji, Kin'emon, Denjiro, and Inuarashi. Together they harden their respective swords using their "Ryuo", leap toward their opponent performing an X-shaped slash, and simultaneously slash the same X-shaped scar given to Kaidou by Oden 20 years ago.[6] Although the attack drew copious amounts of blood, Kaidou stated it was significantly less powerful compared to Oden's usage, stating the damage they inflicted was trivial in comparison to Oden, who had successfully inflicted a massive scar on him.[7]
Nekomamushi
Neko Niko Ban.
Oden Ittoryu: Neko Niko Ban (おでん一刀流 猫笑衝突,Oden Ittōryū: Neko Niko Bān?, literally meaning "Oden One Sword/Blade Style: Cat Laugh Collision"): Nekomamushi strikes with his right arm, causing a piercing shockwave. This was first used to defeat Charlotte Perospero.[3] The name of the technique may be a pun on the expression neko ni koban (猫に小判?, "a gold coin to a cat") which is roughly equivalent to "pearls before swine". In the VIZ manga and Funimation adaptations, this is called Oden One-Sword Style: Feline Frenzy.
Inuarashi
Inu Spire.
Oden Ittoryu: Inu Spire (おでん一刀流 犬斬威矢,Oden Ittōryū: Inu Supaiyā?, literally meaning "Oden One Sword/Blade Style: Dog Slash Power Arrow"): Inuarashi stabs with his sword leg, causing a piercing shockwave. This was first used to defeat Jack.[3] The name of the technique may be a pun on "inspire" (インスパイヤ ,insupaiya?). In the VIZ manga and Funimation adaptations, this is called Oden One-Sword Style: Canine Cleaver.
Trivia
According to Wano Country's propaganda, Kurozumi Orochi claimed to have used the Orochi Two Sword Style (オロチ二刀流,Orochi Nitōryū?),[14] to defeat Oden and his retainers. In reality, Orochi never even participated in said battle,[15] and he showed very poor swordsmanship.[16]
Hiyori has noted that Zoro's own Three Sword Style is very reminiscent of her father's Two Sword Style, which convinced her to bequeath the former with Enma.
