Summary[]

In Zephyr Heights, Pipp Petals and Zipp Storm are packing their belongings to move into the Crystal Brighthouse in Maretime Bay. Their mother Queen Haven organizes an extravagant parade with giant balloons to see them off as they leave. While Pipp adores all the attention, Zipp is uncomfortable, made worse by Haven's pressure on her to maintain a proper royal appearance.

During the presentation of a large statue in Pipp and Zipp's image, the Pegasi's inexperience with flying causes the festivities to devolve into chaos. Despite this, Pipp, Zipp, and Haven share a laugh over it, and they take a frazzled family selfie before Pipp and Zipp depart for Maretime Bay.

Summary[]

Following the destruction of her lighthouse home in My Little Pony: A New Generation, Sunny Starscout and her friends Hitch Trailblazer, Izzy Moonbow, Pipp Petals, and Zipp Storm are moving into the newly built Crystal Brighthouse together. They decorate the Brighthouse's interior while singing the song Work Work Work. However, Sunny's friends' decorating methods clash with one another, from Izzy's overuse of glitter to Zipp's accidental use of glue instead of paint to Pipp's need to decorate every space with her self-image to Hitch's simple task of assembling a shelf. This causes the Brighthouse to end up a complete mess.

After a one-sided conversation with a picture of her father Argyle Starshine, Sunny rallies her friends to work together to decorate the Brighthouse. At the end of the song's reprise, the five take a group selfie to celebrate the Brighthouse's completion.

Summary[]

Zipp Storm notices some of her fellow Pegasi struggling to fly while she has already become an expert at it. When she suggests that someone should teach them, her friends get the idea of opening a flight school, with Zipp as the reluctant instructor. She gives lessons to a group of Pegasi over the course of a day, but they show little improvement.

When Zipp gives up and flies off, she notices a Pegasus mother supportively teaching her foal to fly, reminding her of when her mother Queen Haven did the same for her when she was little. Zipp gives her students a second chance, and with her friends' assistance, the students finally improve their flying skills. At the end of the day, they "graduate" from Zipp's flight school.

Summary[]

Izzy Moonbow's late-night snoring, sleep-talking, and casting magic in her sleep keeps her friends up all night, and while she wakes up the next morning well-rested, the others end up sleep-deprived. The next morning, Izzy uses up Zipp's can of hairspray, gets peanut butter on Pipp's phone while using it to take selfies, and uses Sunny's toothbrush to clean her ears. Sunny, Pipp, and Zipp turn to Hitch for advice on how to deal with their "nightmare roommate".

Hitch tells them to simply be honest with Izzy and give her a thoughtful gift. To that end, Sunny, Pipp, and Zipp present Izzy with her own things so she does not have to keep using theirs. Izzy admits she was just using her friends' things in order to fit in with them. Feeling guilty about not being honest with Izzy, Sunny and the others tell her she does not need to try to fit in; she is already perfect the way she is.

Her latest customer, however, is Phyllis Cloverleaf, who has a reputation for giving poor reviews to the establishments she visits and causing them to go out of business. Pipp, nervous at the possibility of her salon suffering the same fate, accidentally shaves off a chunk of Phyllis' mane, creating a bald spot. She dashes out of the salon in shame while Sunny Starscout attempts to cover up her mistake.

Zipp Storm follows Pipp and assures her that, regardless of her one mistake, she has brought style and confidence to her many other customers. Reassured of herself, Pipp goes back inside the salon to correct the mistake she made to Phyllis' mane, making it exactly how it looked when she first walked in. Satisfied with Pipp's styling, Phyllis gives Mane Melody a five-star review. Zipp, proud of her sister, allows Pipp to style her mane.

When the box's release button does not work, Hitch considers cancelling the tour, but his friends convince him not to when Izzy uses her magic to levitate the box and the others tie it to a rope leash.

Hitch proceeds with the tour, but it hits several snags when Izzy's box crashes into things and she is unable to even see any of the tour stops from inside her prison. After further attempts to liberate Izzy from the box do not work, Hitch feels like he has failed in his task to show his friends what makes Maretime Bay special, but his friends say they enjoyed the tour, including Izzy. When Sunny Starscout makes a "think outside the box" joke, Hitch gets an idea and locates a secondary emergency release button on the box's underside, which finally frees Izzy when pressed.

As Hitch starts his tour again from the beginning, he gets trapped inside another box trap.

While carrying out his duties as sheriff of Maretime Bay, Hitch Trailblazer is persistently approached and interrupted by his many critter friends that want to hang out with him. Hitch discovers that numerous items have gone missing around town, including museum paintings, Sunny Starscout's fruit and roller skates, and a sunglasses seller's sunglasses. Zipp Storm suggests that Hitch hire a new deputy (following Sprout being relieved of his duties after My Little Pony: A New Generation) to reduce his workload, but Hitch is confident he can solve the mystery by himself. During his investigation, Hitch notices that someone has been secretly providing him with fruit smoothies for refreshment.

The next day, Hitch wakes up to find all of the stolen items stashed in his closet. Believing himself to be the thief, he locks himself up in jail. When Zipp looks over the results of Hitch's investigation, she realizes all of the stolen items are Hitch's favorite things and believes someone is setting him up. Hitch finally determines that his critter friends were the thieves, having collected his favorite things out of their love for him. Though Hitch is flattered, he reprimands them for stealing, orders them to return all the items they stole, apologizes for ignoring them, and lines them up for mug shots.

Summary[]

Pipp Petals watches a trending dance video on the social media app ClipTrot depicting bunnies dancing to hip-hop music. Wanting to capitalize on this trend, she rallies her friends to make a similar video. The rest of the Mane 5 dance the way they want to, but Pipp pressures them to mimic the bunnies' dance exactly, causing them to get uncomfortable and make different excuses to leave.

In town, Pipp convinces Jazz Hooves, her coworker at the Mane Melody beauty parlor, to help her record a dance video. Unfortunately, the bunny hip-hop video trend has quickly fallen out of style, and ponies are waiting for "the next big thing". This gives Pipp the idea of making a pony version of the bunny hip-hop, using the footage she recorded of her friends dancing how they wanted. Her video quickly attracts a lot of views and upvotes from ponies around Equestria.

When the Mane 5 see a trio of foals trying to imitate their dance moves, Pipp encourages them to be themselves and dance however they please.

Izzy takes Señor Butterscotch around Maretime Bay with her, doing several activities and drawing the confused stares or irritation of everyone they pass.

When Izzy stops by Sunny Starscout's smoothie stand, Sunny realizes what day it is and its significance to unicorn culture. She rallies the rest of her friends together to throw a T.U.E.S. Day party for Izzy at the Crystal Brighthouse. They apologize for ignoring her, explaining that they are still learning about each other's cultures, and Izzy is overjoyed to celebrate T.U.E.S. Unfortunately, only Izzy Moonbow shows up to go on the hike and only due to sheer coincidence of being in the area. Therefore, only Sunny and Izzy go hiking, but they quickly get lost in a dark and scary forest due to a faulty road sign.

Meanwhile, Hitch Trailblazer, Zipp Storm, and Pipp Petals remember the hike Sunny invited them on and go to the Crystal Brighthouse. When they find Sunny and Izzy gone and notice it starting to get late in the day, they head out to look for them. The two groups eventually run into each other in the forest and have a starlit campfire dinner at Prancing Point. Summary[]

Pipp Petals is looking over the pictures and videos she captured from Maretime Bay Day and compiling them for her online blog. Izzy Moonbow tries to help, but in her overexcitedness and not being tech-savvy, she accidentally deletes all of Pipp's pictures and videos. Izzy apologizes for being so careless, and although Pipp says it is fine and resigns herself to waiting for next year's Maretime Bay Day, she is very clearly heartbroken.

The rest of the Mane 5 try to cheer Pipp up; while she appreciates their efforts, she laments having lost the festival's memorable moments. This gives Zipp an idea: using the still-remaining physical photos of the festival, she and the rest of her friends recreate Maretime Bay Day in the Crystal Brighthouse garden. Pipp is overjoyed by this pleasant surprise, and rather than retake her deleted pictures and videos, she settles for simply spending time with her friends. The short ends with the Mane 5 singing Let Out Your Light together.

Summary[]

Zipp Storm interrupts her friends' movie night to inform them that her sunglasses have been stolen, and she declares the others as her primary suspects. First, she accuses Hitch Trailblazer, who, during a walk on the beach earlier that morning, lamented forgetting his sunglasses at the sheriff's station. Hitch argues that he neither coveted Zipp's sunglasses nor expressed any desire to steal them. Next, Zipp accuses Pipp Petals, who once borrowed Zipp's sunglasses to stop a malfunctioning mane-washing machine at Mane Melody. Pipp argues it was an emergency and that she has dozens of her own sunglasses. Then, Zipp accuses Sunny Starscout, but Sunny produces her own sunglasses, immediately eliminating her as a suspect.

This leaves Izzy Moonbow as Zipp's remaining suspect, and Zipp points out that, during all of her stories, Izzy was in the background taking measurements of Zipp's head, presumably to make sure Zipp's sunglasses would fit her. A panicked Izzy runs away, and Zipp gives chase. When Zipp finally corners Izzy, Izzy presents her with a gift box that contains a pair of high-tech detective goggles (the true reason why Izzy was taking Zipp's measurements). Zipp thanks Izzy for this gift, and in her excitement while trying them out, she discovers her sunglasses were under her pillow the whole time.

In order to complete the lantern, she needs a small, ring-shaped part. She goes around Maretime Bay looking for one, from hula hoops to keychains to Posey's earrings, but none are the right size.

When Izzy notices some racoonicorns playing with a basketball hoop, she follows them to a back alley where they are jumping into a dumpster from a diving board (imitating a televised sporting competition). Inspired by the racoonicorns' playing, Izzy dives into the dumpster to search for the ring-shaped part she needs, while singing the song All for the Love of Trash. Eventually, Izzy finds an appropriately-sized ring and installs it and a shiny crystal into the lantern, completing it.

When Pipp Petals approaches Izzy with a broken hairdryer (since Izzy removed parts from it for the lantern), Izzy goes dumpster diving again for replacement parts.

In an effort to help her better control her Alicorn magic, Pipp Petals gives her a makeover at Mane Melody, and Zipp Storm creates a dangerous obstacle course for her to run through. However, the uncontrollability of Sunny's magic causes her to sprout differently-sized Pegasus wings and her mane to grow extremely long.

Despondent, Sunny leaves to sulk on the beach, feeling that her friends are quickly growing while her own growth has become stagnant. Hitch Trailblazer appears to cheer her up, reminding her that she got everyone to believe in magic and must now believe in her own magic. When a group of nearby foals playing in the sand are about to get washed away by a large tidal wave, Sunny's determination to save them causes her to fully transform into an Alicorn, and she turns the tidal wave into harmless glitter.

Pipp explains that she was treating Sunny, Hitch, and Izzy to a spa day and that nothing seemed out of the ordinary. Zipp discovers that Cloudpuff (who has turned into a little puppy) is covered in a strange, glowing substance; Pipp identifies it as her new facial cream, which she had mixed with magic glitter, accidentally giving it magical de-aging properties.

Pipp and Zipp work together to create a new substance to counteract the effects of the magic facial cream, but they are unable to get their friends-turned-foals to sit still long enough to apply it. Zipp tells the foals a bedtime story to make them sleepy while Pipp applies the aging cream. When Sunny, Hitch, and Izzy wake up from their nap, they have turned back to normal.

Unfortunately, in her eagerness to share her newfound ability with the rest of Maretime Bay, she inadvertently spreads flower pollen all over the city and triggers an outbreak of neighfever, causing everyone to sneeze uncontrollably.

Dahlia becomes a public embarrassment and shuts herself inside as news of this outbreak reaches Zephyr Heights. Sunny returns to Dahlia to try and fix this, but Dahlia does not want her help. As Dahlia sneezes uncontrollably on her flower garden, Sunny discovers Dahlia's sneezing is giving her flowers magical color-changing properties. Sunny expresses that, despite how different she and her friends are, they are able to accomplish great things when they work together. He also says that the blanket is one part of a whole, its other pieces hidden in Zephyr Heights and Bridlewood, and that it will take Sunny's "whole family" to find the other pieces.

Sunny and her friends go on an adventure to find the other two blanket pieces. In Zephyr Heights, they find the second piece of the blanket hidden in a secret compartment under Queen Haven's throne. In Bridlewood, they find the third piece in a swamp lined with crystals after using the crystals to solve a musical puzzle.

Back at the Brighthouse, the blanket pieces are stitched together to form a complete image of the Mane 5, with Alicorn Sunny in the center. The recording device plays the rest of Argyle's message for Sunny, in which he says one's friends can also be one's family, and Sunny feels she has found that family in the rest of the Mane 5.

In an effort to help Jazz find her inspiration, Izzy takes her to music night at the Crystal Tea Room in Bridlewood. At first, Jazz enjoys the jazz music by saxophonist Onyx and bongo drummer Jasper, but Onyx suddenly starts playing a different song. Jasper picks up on the change in beat and changes up his drumming, once again filling the establishment with great music.

Listening to the jazz players "do their own thing" inspires Jazz to do the same with her hooficures. After practicing her new, original designs with the Mane 5 and getting positive feedback, Jazz's hooficures become more popular than ever.

When she overhears them complaining about the quality of lip gloss currently on sale, she gets an idea and approaches them to help her create a brand new kind of glittery lip gloss. After babyproofing the sheriff's station, the Mane 5 venture out into Maretime Bay with Sparky. Sparky drags Hitch all over town for sweet foods, and the Mane 5 soon lose sight of him. The ponies search around town for the missing Sparky while inadvertently subjecting Misty to physical slapstick comedy. They eventually find Sparky back at the sheriff's station.

Hitch feels like he is failing at being a "dragon dad", but his friends tell him that he is a great father figure based on how much he cares about Sparky and his safety. Hitch learns to be less controlling and neurotic when it comes to parenting. Almost immediately, however, Sparky runs off on his own again to have more fun.

During the party, Pipp and her coworkers start singing the song Monster Party, leading the party attendees in dancing and party games. Throughout the song, Misty creates mischief like causing the punch bowl to overflow, ruining the party decorations, and unplugging the salon's power in order to get the ponies to use their magic. As a result of her efforts, Rufus accidentally uses his plant magic while bobbing for apples, Izzy Moonbow uses her magic to fix the decorations, and the Pegasi use their wings to clear away the flood of punch.

After enough observation, Opaline tells Misty to return to the castle. However, Misty is so impressed by the ponies' cleanup efforts that she stays at the party a little longer and briefly dances with Izzy.

As the rest of the Mane 5 decide to bake the pumpkins into pies and hold a pie-eating contest, Sparky turns the carriage back into a normal pumpkin, trapping Pipp inside. She is about to call for help, but remembering what Zipp said earlier, she decides to try and free herself on her own.

Some time later, the pie-eating contest is underway, with Jazz Hooves and Rufus as the last two contestants. They are presented with two giant pumpkin pies, one of which Pipp was accidentally baked into. She cries out from inside the pie crust, and ponies believe the pie has come to life as a "zombie pie". The next morning, "Sneaksy"'s street art gets recognition on television news. Most of the Mane 5 are captivated by the artwork, but Hitch Trailblazer sees it only as law-breaking vandalism, especially when Queen Haven has a mural painted on the outside of the sheriff station cut out for relocation to Zephyr Heights. Izzy defends the decision by saying Queen Haven is just appreciating great art, but Hitch argues great art can be created and appreciated without breaking the law. Izzy decides to stop making art as Sneaksy until someone requests it.

As the ponies replace the sheriff station wall Queen Haven removed, Sunny and Pipp Petals express how much they miss Sneaksy's art now that they have gone into hiding, and Pipp announces that she would like Sneaksy to create an original mural for the Mane Melody salon. That night, Pipp discovers an intruder inside Mane Melody. She fails to catch the intruder, but she is excited to find a mural for Mane Melody left by Sneaksy. Hitch Trailblazer brings Sparky Sparkeroni to the Crystal Brighthouse when Sparky comes down with a severe case of "hiccup-burps", and his burps of fire breath are causing a lot of magical mishaps. Zipp Storm and Izzy Moonbow attempt to scare the hiccup-burps out of Sparky, Sunny Starscout feeds him a special smoothie recipe, and Pipp Petals tries to help him sing the hiccup-burps away, but their attempts all result in failure. As Sparky's condition worsens, Opaline detects a surge in dragon magic and commands Misty to try and steal Sparky.

As Sparky's hiccup-burps turns everything around him into food, he rubs his belly and anxiously reaches out toward the food, giving Sunny an idea. She and and her friends work together to make a disgusting smoothie out of all the food; when Sparky drinks it, he gets severe indigestion, and the Mane 5 take cover. Misty takes this opportunity to try and grab Sparky, but he lets out a large blast of flatulence. Misty is incapacitated by the foul odor, Sparky's stomach finally settles, and his hiccup-burps are cured, to the Mane 5's relief.

The Mane 5 chase the malfunctioning robot across town, and in an effort to mitigate the damage it is causing, they catch the smoothie mix it shoots in their mouths, exposing them to new smoothie flavors in the process. Before long, the robot stops shooting and shuts down. The smoothie mix that the robot fired right before shutting down turns out to be a mixture of all other smoothie flavors; Sunny makes it a new option at her smoothie stand called the "Alicorn Special", and it becomes extremely popular.

Following a trail of carrots from a supermarket where Eggmund was last seen, Hitch and Zipp track Eggmund down to his burrow home where he is too overworked from raising a large family of bunnies to open the royal egg hunt. Hitch sympathizes with Eggmund's plight of being a stressed-out father, and he and Zipp offer to look after Eggmund's children while he oversees the egg hunt's opening ceremonies.

Summary[]

Pipp Petals and Zipp Storm sneak into the Zephyr Heights palace to surprise their mother Queen Haven for Mares' Day, with a whole day of activities planned, but Haven says she already made plans. When Alphabittle suddenly shows up with a bouquet of flowers for Haven, Pipp and Zipp are shocked to realize the two are in a romantic relationship. Haven invites Alphabittle to join them for the activities Pipp and Zipp had planned, much to Pipp and Zipp's annoyance.

Throughout the day, Alphabittle unintentionally ruins Pipp and Zipp's Mares' Day activities with their mother: he has a painful allergic reaction to the facial cream during a spa treatment, ruins a royal family photo, serves smelly coffee during a meal, and causes Pipp and Zipp to crash during a family flight. When Pipp and Zipp finally voice their frustration with Alphabittle, he apologizes for ruining everything and leaves. Haven admonishes her daughters for their behavior and tells them it does not matter what they do for Mares' Day or how successfully it goes as long as they do it with the ones they love and care about.

Pipp and Zipp catch up with Alphabittle and apologize for how they treated him earlier – saying as long as he is a part of their mother's life, he is a part of their lives as well – and invite him to join them for their family picnic. Alphabittle accepts, and the four enjoy a picnic at sunset. The short ends with their disastrous photo from earlier being mounted on a wall in the palace.

When Misty temporarily removes the necklace in order to pick berries for Opaline, Zipp Storm grabs it while she isn't looking.

At the Crystal Brighthouse, the Mane 5 examine the necklace. When they try it on, the ponies fall under Opaline's evil influence and behave the polar opposite of how they normally act: Izzy Moonbow insults Earth ponies and Pegasi and hates crafting; Hitch Trailblazer rejects law and order; Pipp Petals takes up heavy metal guitar; Zipp desires to be queen of Zephyr Heights; and Sunny Starscout denounces the Magic of Friendship.

When Misty notices the necklace missing and hears the chaos at the Brighthouse, she reclaims and closes the necklace, and the ponies return to normal. Realizing the trouble the necklace causes, Misty discards it over a seaside cliff and shatters it, but she does not reveal to her friends where she got the necklace from.

With Misty's help, the Mane 5 rescued Sparky Sparkeroni from Opaline before she could drain all of his dragonfire, and Misty gained a real cutie mark to replace the fake one she always drew on herself in marker. Sunny Starscout then faced Opaline in a magic battle, eventually defeating and trapping Opaline in a magic bubble, and the ponies escaped with Sparky.

Shortly afterward, Misty has joined the Mane 5 in their efforts to take down Opaline, and she has changed her mane color. While Pipp goes to look for the supply shipment, she asks her friends to take over giving makeovers with the supplies she has left and posting videos of them to her social media account.

Sunny Starscout, Izzy Moonbow, Hitch Trailblazer, and Zipp Storm are not as familiar with giving makeovers and using social media as Pipp is, but they improvise until she returns. Meanwhile, Pipp discovers her shipment of beauty supplies has gotten stuck in a bog. She gets covered in mud trying to pull it out of the bog and watches from her phone as her friends give disastrous makeovers.

When Pipp finally makes it back to the makeover tent, her state of being covered in mud causes Rufus to not recognize her, and he accuses her of trying to cut in front of the line of ponies waiting to get makeovers. Inside the tent, Izzy tells her struggling friends not to worry so much and to give makeovers in their own way. The resulting makeovers they give are met with positive reception.

When Pipp finally returns inside the tent, she finds that her friends have given great makeovers in their own styles, and she commends them for their work.

In an effort to accommodate the band, the Mane 5 attempt to cater to their every need while Hitch Trailblazer and Sparky Sparkeroni entertain the waiting crowd.

Pipp fixes up the Electric Blue band members' muddy manes, Sunny Starscout and Zipp Storm get new outfits made for them, and Izzy Moonbow gets an "everything bagel" (a bagel with every possible food filling) for bass guitarist Jam Donut. Electric Blue's makeovers turn out perfect, but Izzy's "everything bagel" explodes and gets them dirty all over again.

Sunny suggests they try again to get Electric Blue cleaned up for their performance, but Pipp says Bridlewoodstock is not about costumes, glamour, or VIP treatments—it is about sharing one's sparkle with the world. Summary[]

On a particularly hot day in Maretime Bay, Zipp Storm is enjoying herself at the beach but is surprised to find no one else present. Zipp tries to convince everyone to join her at the beach to cool themselves off, but no one listens to her. Misty notices this and feels sorry for Zipp. Frustrated at not being listened to, Zipp returns to the beach to have fun by herself. However, she notices Misty has taken her advice and joined her, especially since she has never had a beach day before.

As Zipp and Misty enjoy a beach day together, Misty posts pictures to social media. Other ponies see the pictures and, realizing how much fun Zipp and Misty are having, join them as well, though they have completely forgotten it was Zipp's idea in the first place, much to Zipp's chagrin.

Summary[]

Misty watches in awe as Hitch Trailblazer and Sparky Sparkeroni have fun together and Hitch's cutie mark glows as a result. However, she feels left out because, despite all her efforts to fit in at Maretime Bay, her cutie mark never glows. To help Misty find her inner sparkle, Izzy Moonbow decides to put her through a session of "sparkle school".

Izzy and Misty do various activities together in an effort to get Misty's cutie mark to glow, their montage set to the song Up. Unfortunately, Misty fails at some of these activities, and her cutie mark generates barely more than a spark. After spilling smoothies on herself and some other ponies while taking orders at Sunny Starscout's smoothie stand, she runs off in tears.

Sunny finds Misty sulking by herself in a dark forest, and Misty starts to feel like she does not belong in Maretime Bay. Sunny empathizes with Misty, saying she too felt like an outcast when she first got her Alicorn powers but her friends helped her through it. As Misty remembers how her friends have similarly helped her, her body becomes enveloped in a soft, sparkly light. She takes Sunny's supportive words to heart, and her cutie mark glows brightly for the first time.

The rest of the Mane 5 arrive to celebrate Misty's "graduation" from sparkle school.

However, Zipp Storm notices that ponies' magic is mysteriously supercharged and stronger than before, causing them to fly, float, or grow plants uncontrollably. Zipp attempts to tell Sunny Starscout about this potential magic glitch, but Sunny is too taken with the festivities to pay attention.

As the Zephyr Heights Aerobats aerobatics team begins their performance, their supercharged magic causes them to fly at uncontrollably high speed, prompting Zipp to investigate. After ruling out the Unity Crystals as the cause for the supercharged magic, Zipp discovers that ponies' magic becomes supercharged under the light of the perigean moon.

To counteract this, Zipp rallies her friends together to release all the festival's paper lanterns into the sky, and Sunny (in her Alicorn form) gathers the lanterns together in one spot to block the moon. This not only returns the ponies' magic to normal but also showers the festival in colors. The Aerobats are able to finish their performance, and the crowd cheers.

Summary[]

At Mane Melody, Pipp Petals launches a brand new line of perfume. However, due to an earlier mishap caused by Izzy Moonbow, the scent is unappealing to ponies but very enticing to animals. To make it up to Pipp, Izzy takes her to Bridlewood to find a new scent for her perfume. They discover a field of never-before-seen flowers that smell like a pony's favorite things. Pipp wants to take as many of the flowers as she can, but Izzy warns her to be respectful of the forest and only take a single flower, and Pipp agrees.

At Pipp's next perfume launch, her new perfume is received very positively, but she runs out of it very quickly. Returning to Bridlewood, she picks a few more of the flowers but cannot help but pick even more, eventually picking the entire field clean. This causes the local ecosystem to become so unbalanced that the field can no longer sustain plant life, and the ground begins to break apart. To restore the ecosystem to normal, Pipp uses her original perfume to summon an army of critters, bringing Sunny Starscout and Hitch Trailblazer with them.

At Pipp's direction, the animals plant the flowers back in the ground, and Sunny and Hitch use their Earth pony magic to repair the fracturing earth. This not only restores the Bridlewood ecosystem but also causes a beautiful tree to grow in the center of the field. The tree "thanks" Pipp with a large bundle of its petals; Pipp uses the petals to launch a brand new perfume and, with a newfound respect for nature, she pledges to plant a tree for every bottle sold.

After briefly getting lost in the rain, the group eventually sets up camp. Misty forms a perimeter around the campsite so no animals wander in, and Sunny grows some carrots with her Earth pony magic for food. When a bunnisus (a bunny with wings) is drawn in by the smell of carrots, Misty shoos it away. As it leaves, the bunnisus runs into a garden of magic Bridlewood crystals that cause it to grow in size. Now a giant, the bunnisus stomps into the Mane 6's camp, destroys the campsite, and eats all the carrots.

As the giant bunnisus hops away toward Maretime Bay, the Mane 6 work together to stop its rampage, using a giant carrot to lure it away from the city. They eventually trap the bunnisus in a large mud puddle, where the ponies use the crystals again to return it to normal size. Using Hitch Trailblazer's plant magic as a boost, Zipp Storm flies past the obstacles and clears the way to the exit. In the second trial, the ponies are terrorized by scary dragon shadows. Through Misty's guidance, the ponies beat them by illuminating the dark cave with their magic.

Alphabittle attempts to wrangle the foals as they engage in various Night Market hijinks, such as Sunny Starscout eating fireworks-creating apples, Zipp Storm parkouring from stand to stand, and Hitch licking crystals that cause him to grow and shrink in size. Alphabittle tries to be especially protective of Misty as she has been turned to the same age as when Alphabittle lost her years before, and he is desperate to not lose her again. Alphabittle serves the Mane 6 a magic tea brew that returns them to normal age.

Meanwhile, Opaline observes the ponies-turned-foals from her castle and decides now is the perfect time to strike. However, by the time she enters the Night Market via Bridlewood's Together Tree, the Mane 6 are already headed back to Maretime Bay in the Mare Stream. Pipp Petals wakes up one morning with an extremely unruly mane, and any attempts to bring it under control are useless. At Sunny Starscout's suggestion, she goes to work with her mane covered up, and she finds a crowd of ponies outside Mane Melody who also have their manes covered up. As a result of using Pipp's new mane softener, all of their manes have become wild and unruly, even appearing to have taken on lives of their own.

Pipp retreats inside the salon from the angry mob and meets Windy, who has arrived for her hooficure appointment. When Windy notices the state of Pipp's mane and what caused it, she believes she has seen this phenomenon before. But before she can determine where, the manes of the ponies outside break into the salon, prompting Pipp and Windy to run away.

Pipp and Windy head to the sheriff's office, where Hitch Trailblazer is also suffering from a bad hair day after using Pipp's new mane softener. As Sparky Sparkeroni plays with Pipp's mane, Windy recalls reading about this monstrous mane phenomenon in the Trail Trotters guidebook: some of Sparky's hair came into contact with Pipp's mane softener formula, giving it magical hair-growing properties. When Sparky breathes fire on Hitch's mane, it returns to normal.

After bottling some of Sparky's dragonfire, Pipp and Windy go around town spraying ponies with it, turning their monstrous manes back to normal. In recognition of Pipp's ingenuity, Windy awards her with a Trail Trotters badge.

The Rise and Fall is the sixty-seventh Tell Your Tale short. It was uploaded to the official My Little Pony: Tell Your Tale channel on November 16, 2023. The animation focuses primarily on Opaline, and it takes place during My Little Pony: Make Your Mark Chapter 6.

Summary[]

The short is an alternate retelling of the episode Roots of All Evil Pt. 2:

Opaline broadcasts a message across Equestria gloating about her plot to steal the cutie marks of everypony in Equestria. Alongside the magically enslaved dragons Lava and Jade, she has taken nearly every cutie mark, including those of Sunny Starscout's friends, and become extremely powerful. Sunny appears to challenge Opaline in her Alicorn form, but Opaline quickly overpowers her and takes her cutie mark as well, causing her Alicorn powers to disappear.

Watching this unfold on their phone screens, the rest of the Mane 6 rally the ponies of Equestria together to pool the magic they have left into the Together Trees while singing the song Magic in Us. This causes the Together Tree in Opaline's castle to grab her with its roots and strip her of her own cutie mark and power. Opaline is dragged away into the Together Tree's roots, and the cutie marks she stole are returned to their original owners. With Opaline seemingly defeated, peace returns to Equestria.

Crystal Ball is the sixty-eighth Tell Your Tale short. It was uploaded to the official My Little Pony: Tell Your Tale channel on November 23, 2023. The animation focuses primarily on Sunny Starscout, and it takes place after My Little Pony: Secrets of Starlight.

Summary[]

Sometime after the events of My Little Pony: Secrets of Starlight, Comet - who relocated to Maretime Bay after the special - tells Sunny Starscout and her friends that they have been invited back to Starlight Ridge for a party called the Crystal Ball. Using the Nova Charm Star, they travel to Starlight Ridge via portal.

The Mane 6 dance, enjoy food, and play various games with the Auroricorns. A tent is set up in the ballroom where the ponies can have their fortunes told; when Sunny approaches the tent, she hears what sounds like the menacing growl of the evil snow leopard Allura, but her friends assure her that Allura is gone.

Despite her friends' assurances, however, Sunny continues to hear Allura's growling throughout the duration of the party, and her friends do not hear anything. As the party comes to an end and the Mane 6 prepare to leave, Sunny insists that she hears Allura's growling again, but it turns out to be Sparky Sparkeroni's growling stomach. Sunny is relieved, but when she and her friends return home, Allura and her rabbit sidekick Twitch observe them from the shadows.

Equestria's Got Talent is the sixty-ninth Tell Your Tale short. It was uploaded to the official My Little Pony: Tell Your Tale channel on December 7, 2023. The animation focuses primarily on Sunny Starscout. The title and plot are a reference to the reality television series America's Got Talent.

Summary[]

The Mane 6 and their friends are putting on a talent show for Winter Wishday, and Sunny Starscout is under great pressure to make the show a success when she learns a critic will be in the audience. The acts that the ponies put on include a tap dance by Hitch Trailblazer and Sparky Sparkeroni, a musical number by Pipp Petals, a short holiday play by Zipp Storm, and arts and crafts by Izzy Moonbow. When the critic appears unmoved by the show performances, Sunny tries to make them more lively and extravagant by using a number of impromptu props and gags. Unfortunately, the critic is still unimpressed. During intermission, Sunny apologizes to her friends for putting undue pressure on them to make the show successful.

After the intermission, the ponies put on one last performance that combines elements from each of their individual acts, and they all join in singing. They are even joined by ponies like Queen Haven who auditioned for the talent show but did not make the final cut. When the song ends, the critic is finally moved to tears. After the show, the critic congratulates Sunny and her friends for their show, but he reveals that he is not a critic at all. Windy, however, is a critic, having been in the audience disguised as a chair; having also enjoyed the show, she promises to give them a positive review.

Snow Business Like Show Business is the seventieth Tell Your Tale short and the final short of season one. Parts of it were uploaded to the official My Little Pony: Tell Your Tale channel on December 12, 2023 before being made private; it was uploaded in full on December 21, 2023. The animation focuses primarily on Sunny Starscout and Pipp Petals. The title is a reference to the 1946 song "There's No Business Like Show Business" and/or the 1954 film of the same name.

Summary[]

The Mane 6 are producing a movie based on the events of My Little Pony: Secrets of Starlight. At Pipp Petals' direction, however, some details of events are embellished, overdramatized, or otherwise inaccurate to how they really happened. Sunny Starscout wants the movie to tell the story as accurately as possible, but Pipp insists that her version of the story will draw much attention from movie audiences.

The movie portrays the Auroricorns as brainless zombies, puts Comet in snowball-shooting armor, and omits the presence of Violet Frost. Taking issue with all these changes, Sunny tells Pipp that they should be telling the truth of what really happened in Starlight Ridge. Pipp admits she went a little overboard with her creative changes and agrees to tell the story correctly. On the day of the premiere, the Mane 6's movie is met with critical acclaim, and Comet gives a post-premiere press interview.
