The Debut Taunt and Flutterdash are the twenty-fourth episode of My Little Pony: Pony Life. The title of The Debut Taunt is a play on "debutante".
In The Debut Taunt, Rarity invites her friends to celebrate her big television debut.
In Flutterdash, Fluttershy takes Rainbow Dash's place in the Sportacular Spectacular when Rainbow gets sidelined.

Summary[]
The Debut Taunt[]
At Sugarcube Corner, Rarity announces to the rest of the Mane Six that she has been cast in the popular television drama series Hoof Session. Having just returned from recording her episode, she believes this will be her gateway to becoming a big star. Rarity invites her friends to a viewing party at her house that evening to watch the episode's premiere. When the episode airs, however, the ponies discover that Rarity's part was cut out of the broadcast.
Heartbroken over having her dreams of stardom crushed, Rarity falls into a depression and isolates herself to wallow in despair. Pinkie Pie comes up with the idea of having her and her friends act out the other characters' roles in Hoof Session so that Rarity can still have her moment in the spotlight, even if it is for a much smaller audience. Rarity, feeling cheered up, thanks her friends for their efforts and remarks that having friends like them makes her feel like a star anyway.
Flutterdash[]
The Mane Six travel to the Sportacular Spectacular, a large multi-day festival of sporting events, and Rainbow Dash is excited to compete in as many events as she can. However, during a distracted moment, she injures a hoof and wing, impairing her ability to walk and fly and leaving her unable to compete. She appoints Fluttershy to compete in her place in order to maintain her sporty reputation, and Fluttershy uses a transformation potion to make herself look like Rainbow Dash.
As the Sportacular Spectacular gets underway, "Flutterdash" is put under extreme pressure to play sports exactly like Rainbow Dash would, causing her to under-perform in the first several events. During the buckball event, Rainbow is so frustrated by Fluttershy's performance that she tells her to simply "do what she wants". Fluttershy, no longer pressured to play like Rainbow, plays her own way by growing to enormous size. This allows her to beat the other buckball team with ease, with her friends cheering her on.

- Rarity: You may be asking yourself, "Why is Rarity – usually a pillar of chiller – so uncharacteristically over-the-top?"
- Rainbow Dash: Seems like you're acting perfectly normal. [chomps] For you.
- Rarity: Don't forget to dress to impress, okay? This is a party where you will see and be seen while you see me on the screen! [laughs, sighs] End scene.
- Rarity: I feel so lucky to be part of the Hoof Session family. What? A six-episode arc revolving around my character? Oh, why, I have to say yes. So I will! I'll say yes! YES!
