Robin Hinton was an Inhuman who had been given the gift of visions. At a very young age, Robin had foreseen the Earth's destruction, which S.H.I.E.L.D. agents attempted to prevent. However, the mission had failed and the Earth was destroyed, resulting in the deaths of billions, which included Hinton's mother, although she was rescued by their surviving S.H.I.E.L.D. agents.

Throughout those next few years, Hinton envisioned the future return of S.H.I.E.L.D. through time travel, while she grew up in the Lighthouse and bonded with Melinda May, who became her surrogate mother. Hinton waited for the next seventy years, until her vision of S.H.I.E.L.D. return came true, as Melinda May and the other agents had been sent into this future by Enoch. By this time, Hinton was known as the Seer and amassed followers, who soon lost faith with their leader, as Samuel Voss betrayed and stabbed Hinton.

In her final moments, Hinton was held by May, who discovered the connections they shared at another timeline. Hinton's drawings of the futures and pasts eventually gave S.H.I.E.L.D. all the information they needed to undo this future and then stop Graviton from destroying the world.

The Destruction of Earth[]

Failure to Stop Graviton[]

In 2018, Robin and Polly were kidnapped by Graviton,^[3] who learned of the ongoing invasion led by Thanos^[4] and decided to extract the Gravitonium from the surface of the planet to become Earth's savior. Graviton forced Robin to give him the location of the Gravitonium, which led him to Chicago.^[5] While Quake tried to stop Graviton, Robin and her mother were rescued by Leo Fitz, Melinda May and Alphonso Mackenzie. Robin was then taken to the Zephyr One as Graviton had won the battle and absorbed the Gravitonium while Earth began to get destroyed. As a result, Robin lost her mother.^[1]

Visions Come to Pass[]

While the S.H.I.E.L.D. team did their best to pilot the Zephyr One to the Lighthouse, Robin wandered through the plane. She walked by Jemma Simmons and approached Melinda May, who was flying the plane and told Robin to return with the other civilians. However, Robin told her that they would survive their impending crash. As the plane was caught in a gravity storm, Robin was told to get to a seat.^[1]

Adopted Family[]

Four years later, Hinton, living in the Lighthouse, had been adopted by Melinda May, who was the only one who was not afraid of her powers according to Hinton herself, and she told May about a way to fix the destruction of the planet by resorting to what seemed to be time travel. As she used to do, Hinton mostly spent her time drawing enigmatic pictures. She handed one of them, representing the Zephyr One flying through an asteroid field, to May as she was having a tense discussion with Leo Fitz and Jemma Simmons. Hinton was gently told to come later and she noticed a seemingly desperate Fitz. Hinton tried to comfort him, telling him that he had done everything he could to help his friends, although Fitz was puzzled as he did not know what she meant.

Later, the Lighthouse was invaded by the Kree, who began to enslave the human population having taken refuge in the bunker. Hinton remained at May's side at all time and was still lost between times, mentioning the name of Flint, an Inhuman who would not be born before decades. They encountered Yo-Yo Rodriguez, who had reclaimed a Kree Battle Axe and intended to start a revolution against the Kree Watch, despite Hinton having predicted Rodriguez's death. Hinton complained that no one listened to her and told that Alphonso Mackenzie would help Flint, causing Rodriguez's anger as Mackenzie had perished years ago.

One day, Hinton briefly left May and went to see Fitz, who still struggled to find a solution to make things better. However, Hinton eventually described Simmons' death to him, leading to Fitz angrily taking Hinton back to May. An violent argument erupted between a desperate Fitz and May still trying to keep hope, with Hinton being afraid by the whole scene. When Fitz mentioned Daisy Johnson's name, Hinton had a vision and screamed about Johnson being threatened by a knife, actually seeing an event which would happen in 2091, when Samuel Voss would try to kill Johnson.

Later, Hinton had trouble sleeping and called May for comfort. May sat beside Hinton, who regretted to have gained her powers which had her confused at all times and showed them people dying, including May herself. However, May comforted her foster daughter, stating that they would be together in their respective ends, and that Hinton would give her the key to save the world. Hinton remembered that she had to tell May something important, but could not recall what it was. May replied that Hinton would find it in the right time, years later.^[1]

Reunion with S.H.I.E.L.D.[]

Hinton continued to live and grow up in the Lighthouse controlled by the Kree. However, she was ultimately banished to the surface of the destroyed Earth due to her ties with the True Believers, a group which tried to spread her predictions about S.H.I.E.L.D. agents coming from the past to save Humanity. Although the Kree Watch hoped that Hinton and the True Believers would be devoured by the Vrellnexians who roamed the surface, they actually survived and took refuge in the remnants of the Zephyr One.^[1]

Years later, Hinton had grown into an elderly woman who was still lost in times and gave the likes of Samuel Voss vague indications about the arrival of the S.H.I.E.L.D. agents. Hinton's predictions later came to pass, and she was overjoyed to be reunited with Melinda May, who had been brought into the Zephyr One along Enoch by Voss.^[6] When asked about her presence in the Zephyr One, Hinton told May that she had predicted that they would survive the crash, although this version of May was not the same who had adopted Hinton as her daughter.

Following the S.H.I.E.L.D. team's arrival, Hinton was approached by Leo Fitz and Jemma Simmons, who asked her some questions to which Hinton answered by her typical enigmas. Fitz and Simmons were then replaced by Phil Coulson and May, who were not a lot more successful. However, Hinton stated Coulson's full name, claiming that he could "bring all the pieces together". She then claimed that this was the day of the end.

Later, Hinton was in bed when she was approached by someone else: Daisy Johnson. Hinton thanked her for the wooden robin Johnson had given her decades ago. Hinton mentioned that she was supposed to tell something to her "mother", actually meaning May, and when Johnson asked her whether she could tell her instead, Hinton cowered in fear under her blanket. The conversation was then interrupted by Voss, who understood the S.H.I.E.L.D. agents' frustration of not getting answers and suggested to let Hinton get some rest.

However, a conflict occurred between S.H.I.E.L.D. and the True Believers since Voss intended to kill Johnson since she was considered responsible for the Destruction of Earth. Robin approached the place where Johnson was fighting against the True Believers. Although Johnson told her to get back, Voss approached her and claimed that he was sorry before stabbing her in the stomach, mortally wounding her.

Hinton was found by May, and revealed that in her timeline, she had been adopted by May, much to May's surprise. In her last moments, Hinton finally remembered what she was supposed to tell to May so that the S.H.I.E.L.D. agents could return into their time to save the world: they had to find the Inhuman Flint, whose existence Robin had predicted decades ago. Her mission being accomplished, Hinton told May that she was ready to enter an eternal sleep.^[1]

Personality[]

Since she was exposed to Terrigenesis and her powers emerged, Robin grew to frequently being lost between times and seeing countless events from both the past and the future, including the death of people she liked. When the Earth was destroyed, Robin still struggled to live with her gift and wished that she never had any. However, when growing up, she was more open to her foster mother May than she had been with her biological mother Polly. Decades later, despite having become an elderly woman with a mind full of knowledge of past and future events, Robin was still lost between times, and Jemma Simmons remarked that she still behaved and talked like a little girl, such as hiding under a blanket when mentioning dark events to come.

• Inhuman Physiology: Robin Hinton was an Inhuman who had the power to see visions of the future and the past. As she grew up, her visions clouded her mind, making it hard for her to understand what was present, past, and future.
  • Chrono Vision: Hinton had the ability to see the past, present, and future. However, these visions did not follow a linear sequence, which caused her to have no control over them, frequently confusing what time period she was in. Hinton's visions, which were usually depicted on drawings, included but were not limited to: the Destruction of Earth, the Zephyr One flying through asteroids in space, visions of Kasius, Sinara and the Time Di'Alla, the crash of the Trawler which the S.H.I.E.L.D. agents survived, and even her own death in the arms of Melinda May. Before her death, she kept repeating that it was the last day as she knew something was going to happen.
