Robert Bruce Banner is an individual who can transform into the rage-fuelled, primitive-minded creature called Hulk when angered or provoked. During the paradox period where the 17th and 21st Centuries were merged, Banner was a willing inmate at the castle of England until his beast self was triggered by Captain Carter. Joining the Avengers, Hulk assisted Carter in the Theft of the Scepter by fending off King Thor's soldiers, leading to reality's restoration.
Biography[]
Helping Captain Carter[]
Bruce Banner possessed the ability to transform into a green monster known as Hulk when he became angered. However, Banner only wanted to live in peace, so he had himself locked away and wore an iron mask. Captain Carter found Banner in his cell and asked for his help, but he refused. When guards began to open fire, Banner was agitated by the gunshots, causing him to turn into Hulk and break out. Carter rode on Hulk's back as he escaped, and she promised to help him.
Hulk turned back into Banner and was brought to Tony Stark's barn, where he revealed his invention that would reveal the Forerunner and send them back to their reality, stopping the rifts that were destroying reality. Banner agreed to help and in Hulk form, he disrupted a court session, providing a distraction so the Avengers could steal the Scepter. Hulk fought Freak until it was revealed Rogers Hood was the Forerunner, who was then sent back to his time.[2]
