It is a regular fire department, except part of the Mushroom Kingdom, and all of its members are Mushroom People.

In "Reign Storm," Kooky von Koopa's Robot Princess has ordered the fire department to extinguish every Fire Flower in the Mushroom Kingdom. The Mushroom Kingdom Fire Department are seen carrying out the job, unaware that the Robot Princess is an impostor.
