Description[]

There are three types of Element Medals: the Fire Element Medal, the Water Element Medal, and the Ice Element Medal. Whenever Luigi collects one of these Element Medals, he can vacuum in an Elemental Ghost of the corresponding type, giving his Poltergust 3000 a limited supply of that element. However, the Poltergust 3000 is not instantly given a supply of an element when Luigi first obtains the corresponding Element Medal. Somehow, the effects of an Element Medal are not shown in a mirror.

In Luigi's Mansion[]

Each of the three Element Medals are obtained in a certain room, within a large treasure chest that has to be revealed by capturing every ghost in the room. The Fire Element Medal is in the Mirror Room, and it is first Element Medal discovered by Luigi. The second one is the Water Element Medal, found in the Kitchen. Lastly, the Ice Element Medal is in the Tea Room.
