Garbage Can Ghost are large, green ghosts featured in Luigi's Mansion. They are first encountered in the Wardrobe Room, and carry several bananas with them. Unlike other ghosts, Garbage Can Ghosts do not attack Luigi directly, but rather eats a banana and then throw its peel on to the ground. Garbage Can Ghosts have forty HP, the highest out of any non-Portrait Ghost.

In Mario Power Tennis, Garbage Can Ghosts occasionally appear in the Luigi's Mansion Court. Like in Luigi's Mansion, Garbage Can Ghosts drop banana peels around the tennis court. Garbage Can Ghosts also appear in the minigame Terror Tennis, being one of the ghosts that the player's character must hit back into their portrait as they try to escape from it.
