Starlight Celebration (2024)

Wintry weather has settled in across the realm, and the citizens of Eorzea have begun preparing for this year's Starlight Celebration. As cities and residential districts glimmer with festive decorations, the time has come to warm the hearts of those around you with thoughtful gifts aplenty!^[1]

The Cold Skies, Warm Hearts was the 2024 edition of the seasonal event Starlight Celebration in Final Fantasy XIV.

The event was started by accepting the Reach for the Stalls sidequest by talking to Amh Garanjy at Mih Khetto's Amphitheatre in Old Gridania (X:10.2 Y:9.4)

Amh Garanjy reported that a new attraction would be held for that year's celebrations in the form of a market called Starlight Stalls. However, preparations were running behind schedule, and Amh Garanjy enlisted the help of the Warrior of Light to investigate the reason for the delay. After arriving at the Starlight Stalls, located on Gridania's outskirts, Amh Garanjy proposed that the two of them talk to various workers to find out what problems they might be facing. After investigating, they both shared their findings, with a combination of cold and tiredness being to blame for the stalls' slow progress. While pondering ways to revive the tired workers, Saulinne and Tenny appeared and offered to become little helpers to the Saint of Nymeia. Amh Garanjy accepted their offer, and it was decided that the Warrior of Light and the children would find something revitalizing to distribute to the workers.^[2]

Saulinne and Tenny suggested a hot, sweet drink as the ideal thing to offer the tired, cold workers. Without wasting any time, the children ran to the Carline Canopy to fetch the drink. The Warrior of Light explained the situation to Mother Miounne, who kindly provided hot punch for them to distribute. And the Saint of Nymeia, having fortuitously overheard their conversation, provides a chocobo to help them with the task.

At the stalls, the children split up to distribute the punch, and the Warrior of Light took care of the chocobo carrying the barrel. As they finish distributing the punch, Warrior of Light meets Saulinne and Tenny as they hand over their last mugs. The pair happily report that all the stalls will soon be ready and ask Warrior of Light to inform Amh Garanjy at Mih Khetto's Amphitheatre. Amh Garanjy is happy to hear that the hot punch has worked wonders and that the Starlight Stalls can finally open. With the celebrant by his side, Warrior of Light returns to the venue. Starlight Stalls open, and Amh Garanjy expresses his gratitude to Warrior of Light and his fellow helpers. Acknowledging the celebrant's efforts, the children encourage her to take a break and together they enjoy mugs of hot punch under the winter sky.^[3]
