"A Gargoyle Carol" is the first segment of the forty-sixth episode of Vampirina. It aired on Disney Jr. on November 30, 2019 and is the first segment of the twenty-first episode of the second season.
Plot[]
The Hauntleys are decorating the Scare B&B for their first Christmas in Pennsylvania. Vampirina tells Demi that humans don't have ghost ornaments like the Hauntleys did back in Transylvania. Boris and Wolfie then arrive, followed by Chef Remy Bones, who made candy canes. Vampirina likes Christmas so far, but Gregoria is not in the spirit, as she complains about the different features. Vampirina states that what matters is that the Hauntleys are doing it together. Boris then lights the Hauntley family Christmas tree and decorates Gregoria, who thinks they are too much for her to handle. Gregoria then decides to head back to Transylvania for Christmas, so she can celebrate it the right way.
Vampirina doesn't want Gregoria to leave, but Oxana and Boris tell her that things will turn around, as they'll show her the true meaning of Christmas. Vampirina then shows the cookies and milk, which is what human kids leave out for Santa. Boris will make sure Wolfie doesn't get the milk, and Vampirina then goes to sleep. Later, the Christmas Ghost, which is actually Demi, wakes Vampirina and Demi up. He is here to get Gregoria into the Christmas spirit and help her remember what the holiday is all about.
First, Demi takes Vampirina and Gregoria to the past. In Spookleton Castle, Gregoria is seen preparing the coal for Christmas when her mother calls her for fangy pudding. Gregoria mentions what she used to do during Christmas when she was little, doing it the monster way, and that's why Demi brought her to the past. Demi then takes Vampirina and Gregoria to the present, as he wants to show Gregoria with the Hauntleys on Christmas Day this year. Edna serves Oxana and Boris hot cocoa with peppermint, and they bring her gingerbread. Boris states that everyone except for Gregoria are in the Christmas spirit, and Oxana feels for her.
Vampirina tells Gregoria that Oxana and Boris want her to enjoy Christmas, no matter where the Hauntleys are. As Oxana, Boris, and Edna continue with the activities, Gregoria dislikes them and decides to return to Transylvania. Vampirina tells her that she misses the Transylvanian Christmas, as well. She mentions different activities the Hauntleys used to do during this time. Vampirina and Gregoria won't know how they feel about human Christmas traditions until they give it a try. However, Gregoria still rejects, so Demi takes them to the future.
Vampirina and Gregoria find the Scare B&B empty, as the Hauntleys moved. Demi states that nothing has happened yet, but it may happen if things don't change. Gregoria assumes that if they moved, she would have gone with them. Demi then puts roses on future Gregoria, who is in Edna's garden and a garden gnome. Gregoria wonders if her family forgot about her and left her behind, and runs to the top of the house, where she apologizes to Vampirina and Demi for not wanting to spend Christmas with everybody in Pennsylvania, as it hurt their feelings. Vampirina states that no matter what, Christmas is about being with those Gregoria loves; her family.
Vampirina mentions that they can't change what happened in the past, but they can shape a better future if they celebrate Christmas together. When Vampirina wakes up, Demi tells her that it's Christmas morning. She then meets up with Oxana and Boris and wonders if Gregoria stayed for Christmas. Gregoria then arrives, wishing everyone a merry Christmas. They're happy she is in the holiday spirit, and Gregoria realizes that family is more important than anything else, deciding to stay for Christmas. The Hauntleys then celebrate Christmas.

Trivia[]
- The plot and title are similar to the Charles Dickens story "A Christmas Carol", which has been told in many different Disney productions, including Mickey's Christmas Carol, The Muppet Christmas Carol, and the 2009 film adaptation.
- When Vampirina, Gregoria, and the Christmas Ghost travel to the future, they find out that Vampirina's family moved away, and left Gregoria behind. The part about her family moving away foreshadows the series finale, "Home is Where the Hauntleys Are". In that episode, the Hauntleys moved back to Transylvania because they failed to act like normal humans.
