General[]
- Morals:
- It's important to let go and relax.
- Sometimes when your following directions it's important to do them in a certain way.
- This is the first appearance of a spa in-series, not counting the Random Rings short "Cricket Calls a Spa".
- This episode shows that Bill is as hard as bricks.
- When Tilly is flipping through the calendar months, all of the squares on the calendar are filled in, suggesting Bill filled in squares from past or upcoming months. In addition, the calendar didn't have any month names on them, so the month the episode takes place in is left ambiguous.
- According to Bill, the voice of the Kludge in his dream sequence sounds like Bill's dad.
- This is the third time Cricket said "Papa" after "Welcome Home" and "Harvest Dinner".
Continuity[]
- During Bill's dream, the Kludge talks to him. In "Car Trouble", the Kludge seemed to say "I love you, too" when it leaked oil.
Production[]
- The "Your baby mama" signage on Bill's spa coupon was initially a placeholder joke put in by Kiana Khansmith, but the crew loved it so much that it ended up being carried into the final version.[1]
- In the same board, the coupon was to reveal Bill's middle name as "Bean", but was removed in the final episode.
- Bill's real middle name was revealed to be "Robert" in "Junk Junkie".
- The spa had to go through at least 11 name suggestions before settling on the official name "That Hits the Spa" for the final version.[2]
