Trivia
Previous: "Tilly Tour" |
"Dinner Party" | Next: "Coffee Quest" |
General[]
- Moral: Accept other's differences.
- The episode title references shows like Clarence, The Weekenders, and The Thundermans, who used the same name as the episode title.
- This is the first episode of a few things:
- Rashida and Russell's names were said for the first time.
- This episode is the first time Bill Green has interacted with the Remington family.
- This is the first time Cricket and Remy fight.
- Alice is revealed to know Russell Remington from having seen him on TV.
- Rashida's joke is as follows: "I'm a lawyer and I have a client whose an orthodontist, but he wants a new fee structured because I billed him for too many hours, so why don't we used a prepaid arrangement. That way both of us can work on retainers." The joke is that retainer refers to teeth retainers (something an orthodontist would use) and a retainer fee (a fee for lawyers so as to keep their services).
- When Cricket tries to get a chicken into the laundry basket and refuses to cooperate, and shows boredom at Remy's long list of activities up his ally, it foreshadows the Greens and Remingtons starting to hate each other later in the episode, which leads to the big football fight scene.
- Tilly is the only Green to not fight with the Remingtons.
- Cricket might've told Bill Remy's last name, given that he says the Remingtons' name when thinking of inviting them over.
Character Relations[]
- This is the first time that the Greens (other than Cricket and Tilly) meet Remy's parents.
Continuity[]
- Mrs. Green was mentioned for the third time since "Cricket Versus" and "Mama Bird", but didn't appear until Phoenix Rises.
- Hinting that Bill would not explain on what really happened to her.
- Today Is A-OK's instrumental plays again after Blue Tater.
- Alice being a fan of the Rain County Roosters is brought up again in "Football Camp".
- Bill previously encountered Russell as children as seen in "Greens' Acres", so it's possible that they know each other.
- Remy might have gone to the doctor about the rash he got in "Tilly's Goat".
Production[]
- Chris Houghton considered this episode the most frustrating to work on because he found it difficult to find the Greens and Remingtons likable, stating that they were "subjecting the audience to two families bickering for 11 minutes." He has since learned to appreciate the final product.[1]
