Waterhazard[script 1][script 2][credits 1] (alternatively spelled as WaterHazard[script 3] or Water Hazard)[credits 2][Bandai 1][AP 1] is the Omnitrix's DNA sample of an Orishan from the planet Kiusana[AP 1] in the Andromeda Galaxy.
Appearance[]
Waterhazard appears as a red mollusk-like alien with green eyes and a grey mouth that does not move when he speaks. Behind his legs and on the top of his arms are small spikes that are grey, there are black spots on his shoulders and legs, and on his hands are portholes, which he uses to shoot water. Waterhazard also has four fingers with claws on them and a grey spike on each of his feet. His lower torso is grey with two spikes on the side of it.
In Omniverse, Waterhazard now has four slitted eyes and also has eye-like patterns on his chest with crab-like features on his stomach which appear to be crab legs forming a ribcage. He has much fewer black spots than before. His mouth has a line running through it, his hood looks a lot rougher than before, is bigger, and more hexagonal than before, and he now has what appear to be barnacle-like portholes on his shoulders, arms, legs, and hands, from which he shoots the water. Rather than circular shoulders, he now has shoulder pad-like armor above his arm with much fewer black markings. He also has three spikes on the back of his legs and seems to have cracks on his arms and shoulders. The red sections near his face are now shorter and seemingly connect to his head with silver wire-like sections. His fingers are sharper and resemble dactyls, the "moveable finger" of a crab pincer. He is taller and thinner, as well as his legs becoming much thinner. His overall armor is a darker shade of red, seemingly maroon, and his grey parts are now more violet.
Waterhazard wears the Ultimatrix/Omnitrix symbol on his chest.
Powers and Abilities[]
Waterhazard has the power of hydrokinesis, meaning he can control and manipulate all sources of ambient water,[AP 1] including normal Earth water.[ES 1][DM 1] This was first demonstrated by Bivalvan, who changed the direction of his water blast to knock Chromastone into some cables.[2] Waterhazard has also used hydrokinesis to create water whips and to cushion Gwen's fall.[3]
Orishan are particularly adept at extracting hydrogen and oxygen from the air and creating water out of it.[AP 1] This allows Waterhazard to keep a steady supply of water in his body, which grants Waterhazard the ability to launch pressurized blasts of water through the portholes in his hands. With essentially the same kinetic energy as a fire hose, these blasts can be used to smash through walls, move large objects, and blast away enemies.[AP 1] Waterhazard can use these same portholes to absorb water[DVD 1] and moisture from the air.[1]
Waterhazard can jump exceptionally high.[4] He can also use his water blasts to propel himself into the air.[5][DR 1]
Waterhazard is extremely durable, being able to withstand crashing into a wall seemingly painlessly.[6] This is due to his incredibly tough, armored exoskeleton that protects his body and makes him nearly invulnerable to any physical attack.[7][8][AP 1]
Waterhazard has enhanced strength, enough to throw Buglizard into a nearby wall[9] and punch craters into a concrete floor.[4]
Waterhazard's species is very clever and adept with technology, which allows him to build and repair complex machines, as demonstrated by Bivalvan.[2][AP 1]
Waterhazard can breathe underwater.[2][DM 2] Waterhazard also can withstand radiation, such as that generated by a Prypiatosian-B.[10] However, he has been shown to be potentially hurt by the force of a Prypiatosian-B's radiation attack.[10]
Waterhazard has a retractable visor hidden under his hood.[11] His hood is also retractable.[11][DJW 1]
Weaknesses[]
Waterhazard is vulnerable to intense heat, such as that generated by a Prypiatosian-B.[12][10] He is also vulnerable to electricity, as demonstrated by Bivalvan.[2]
Waterhazard can be frozen by a Necrofriggian's ice breath.[13] Similarly, he can be ensnared by an Evolved Arachnachimp's webs, the latter of which also demonstrated with Bivalvan.[2]

Trivia[]
- Each of Ben's Andromeda alien forms control a basic element. As his name suggests, Waterhazard commands water.
- Waterhazard is the first Andromeda alien Ben has scanned and used.
- His species is also the first to be scanned by the Ultimatrix.
- When Waterhazard first appeared in Too Hot to Handle, his voice sounded exactly like Bivalvan's did in Escape From Aggregor and Ultimate Aggregor because Waterhazard was supposed to be a clone of Bivalvan. Starting in Hero Time, his voice became deeper to help differentiate him from Bivalvan.[DM 3]
- Waterhazard was the Alien of the Month in January 2011.
- In the Family Guy episode Quagmire and Meg, during the scene where the old man is reading to his child, two toys that resemble Waterhazard and Ultimate Swampfire can be seen.
- In the online games Game Creator and Omniverse Collection, Waterhazard shoots blobs of water in an upward tilted angle instead of just spraying it. He is also able to create a bubble shield to protect himself from lasers.
- Orishan have been confirmed to be separate entities from the Cascans, another red hydrokinetic species from the Andromeda Galaxy that was introduced in the reboot. Duncan Rouleau likens the differences between these species to those between panthers and jaguars.[DR 2]
- Waterhazard was named by Marty Isenberg, spelled "WaterHazard". The name was meant to be a placeholder but ended up being used as no one else came up with a better name.[script 3]
- Waterhazard was designed by Steven Choi for both Ultimate Alien and Omniverse.[DJW 3]
- Ben 23 has an alternate counterpart of Waterhazard.[DJW 4]
- Years after Omniverse ended, Derrick J. Wyatt revealed that Ben 23's Orishan transformation was named Hose Hands.[DJW 5] However, he declined to specify whether it was conceived during or after production.[DJW 6] Thus, the wiki considers the name non-canon and unofficial.
