~ JJ to Mia Smoak.
John Thomas "JJ" Diggle, Jr. is a major character in the 2012-2020 TV series Arrow.
John Diggle, Jr. is the son of John Diggle and Lyla Michaels, the nephew of Andrew Diggle, and the estranged adopted brother of Connor Hawke in the Post-Flashpoint timeline. In an erased future in 2040, he became Deathstroke and the leader of the Deathstroke Gang.
In the possible future in Arrow, he was portrayed by Charlie Barnett, who also portrayed Chuck Mills in Law & Order: Special Victims Units. As a kid, he was portrayed by Keon Boateng in Seasons 5-6 and Marcello Guede in Seasons 7-8 of Arrow.
John, Jr. was born to John Diggle and Lyla Michaels in November 2014. Some time later, Connor Hawke was adopted in the Diggle family, possibly due to his father dying, he bonded with JJ so much, that Connor thought him as his best friend, JJ would protect his brother, even fighting against bullies who would mess with Connor. Nevertheless, as John and Lyla concentrated heavily on preventing Connor from becoming bad, they began to marginalize JJ increasingly.
As time went on JJ became embittered towards his father and adopted brother causing him to sever all ties with his family for good. In the year 2040, JJ became the new leader of the Deathstroke gang and began his campaign of taking over Star City bringing him into conflict with Connor and the rest of Team Arrow's children. Before the Anti-Monitor Crisis, he killed Zoe Lawton; one of the Canaries.
Post-Crisis[]
JJ had been in a relationship with Mia Queen until eventually deciding to propose to her before her graduation. She freaked out at him after getting her memories of his Earth-1 self. However, he forgave her until being accused of kidnapping Bianca Bertinelli. He broke up with Mia, until they made up following a reconciliation. He had then been attacked by hooded assailants who had restored the memories of his time as Deathstroke.
Personality[]
As a child, JJ was kind, caring, polite, cheerful and innocent. He also had a good relationship; with his friend, Zoe Ramirez. After his parents adopted Connor Hawke, JJ treated him like his real brother and best friend. But, as an adult, JJ is an aggressive, cold, cruel, ruthless and violent individual, for example, when Zoe Ramirez had stopped him from killing Mia Smoak, he killed her in, retaliation for interfering in his confrontation against Mia. He had no guilt, shame or remorse for this ruthless act of his.
Victims[]

Trivia[]
JJ is the fifth Arrowverse villain to adopt the Deathstroke persona, the others being Billy Wintergreen, Slade Wilson, Grant Wilson and Joe Wilson. However, he is the first one to be an original character.
JJ is similar to Kylo Ren from the Star Wars sequel trilogy; in that they both become evil by falling under the influence of a corrupt mentor (Supreme Leader Snoke for Kylo Ren, Grant Wilson for JJ) and both their respective fathers are protagonists (Han Solo to Kylo Ren, John Diggle to JJ).
