The False Face Society are the main antagonists of Season 2 of the CW TV series Batwoman. The False-Facers are a new gang in Gotham City that started out by selling a perilous new drug known as Snakebite, before becoming anarchists hoping to break Gotham’s legal system and fix it in their image. They are led by the cosmetics mogul and businessman Roman Sionis, also known as the crime lord Black Mask.
The False Face Society was started by Black Mask after his daughter Circe was killed in the Arkham breakout. Since then, Black Mask employed gangsters to wear masks and chemists to create the drug known as Snakebite.
One of their clown masks looks similar to the Clown masks in the 2019 film Joker. Another mask (Chrome Mask) looks similar to Agent Liberty’s mask.
Black Mask revealed that before they sell their drugs on the streets of Gotham, they first test them on animals (which is implied that they don't always survive).
