Chloe Atkinson is a fictional character and recurring anti-villain of the ITV British soap opera Emmerdale. She debuted on 4th December 2000 and started off as an anti-hero before later evolving into a major antagonist up until her departure on 25th March 2005.

She was portrayed by Amy Nuttall.

History[]

Chloe Atkinson first came to Emmerdale village in December 2000.

Upon settling in the village, Chloe befriended local resident Charity Dingle and supported her relationship with businessman Chris Tate against the revelations of his sister Zoe. Months later Chloe was shocked to learn that Charity was involved in a love triangle with Chris and Zoe, as she had been dating Chris but secretly begun a tryst with Zoe at the same time.

Soon enough, Chloe started dating mechanic Scott Windsor. Their romance developed up until Chloe cheats on Scott by sleeping with his friend Syd Woolfe not long afterwards. As such, Chloe is gobsmacked to find out that Scott had slept with Zoe and got her pregnant with their daughter Jean. The revelation shocked Chloe more as she had recently been hired to mind Jean after her birth, but an incident left Jean injured and then Chloe neglected to tell Zoe about it. Ultimately, Chloe's romance with Scott fell apart and they split up.

In 2004, Chloe turned her attention to fellow entrepreneur Carl King and they formed a relationship. Chloe soon became jealous of Carl's affections for Charity's cousin Chas Dingle and sought to split them up by writing poison pen letters and implicating Carl's ex-wife Colleen as the culprit in order to provoke Chas' reaction. Chloe then faked a pregnancy to further seduce Carl into being with her and breaking up with Chas. However, in March 2005, Carl learned the extent of Chloe's deceit and she left the village in disgrace.
