The Turban Foamvalve is an enemy in Pikmin: Interstellar Cryptid. Being around the size of a Sovereign Bulblax, it is similar in appearance to a tunicate. The creature has a round body, yellow-rimmed orifice, and glowing blue veins coursing through its body. It has multiple white, Armurk-like feet to move around. When approached, it will slowly lurch toward the squad while spouting midsized bubbles that either roll along or bounce across the ground, depending on if the creature is in or out of the water. These bubbles can catch multiple Pikmin and leaders at once, and could lead them into danger. When defeated, the Turban Foamvalve will spit whatever it has from its valve and melt into a cream-colored mush.
Notes
Olimar's notes
- “Looking through the fossil record, it appears this simple organism has long withstood evolution's temporal abyss and is relatively the same as it's always been. The titular valve is used for feeding, excreting waste, and broadcast spawning. It has also been observed spewing massive bubbles from this valve, but it is currently unknown what purpose this serves. Respiration, maybe?”
Louie's notes
- “Peel a sliver off of its skin and boil it in water. Add a pinch of paprika and lime juice, and the sample will begin dissolving. The resulting concoction is best glazed onto meats like mutton and beef, or for basting.”
Bentley's notes
- “I have to say, I'm allured by the streaks of blue across its body. If you're game enough, you could possibly even go up and touch it. Just don't blink, or a bubble might give you company!”
Eloise's notes
- “I'm glad it's giving us bubbles. If we run out of air while in the water, we know who to turn to...”
