Below are the Gifts available to the Kumo.
The few Kumo who are members of the Beast Courts can also use Hengeyokai Gifts.

List of Gifts[]
Second Edition Gifts[]
Level 1[]
- Nimbleness: Kumo are known for their quickness and agility. This Gift, taught by a Flea-spirit, allows them bonuses with jumping and dodging.[1]
- Shadow Step: This is illusion Gift of Nareau allowing the Kumo to seem like she's in one area when she's really not. Those who witness the Kumo activate this Gift see her fade from one location and reappear in another, though in reality she hasn't moved at all.[2]
Level 2[]
- Fangs of Madness: As the Black Spiral Dancer Gift: Foaming Fury, although the Goblin Spider's mouth doesn't drip with foam; this is merely another form of toxic attack available to the Wyrm-ridden Kumo. This Gift is taught by a Madness-spirit or a spider Bane.[3]
- Replenishment of the Flesh: The Kumo may summon local spiders into her body, adding their mass to her own to heal her wounds. This Gift is taught by an Ancestor-spirit.[4]
- Spittle of Corrosion: The digestive fluids of the Kumo, when properly agitated, can be nasty weapons, provided they hit their targets. This Gift allows the Goblin Spider to spit his fluids at opponents in hand to hand combat. It is taught by a servitor of Marawa.[5]
Level 3[]
- Hideous Bite: As the Level Four Black Spiral Dancer Gift: Crawling Poison.[6]
- Snare of Beauty: The Kumo delight in tricking their foes; this Gift, taught by servants of Rati, makes the Kumo irresistibly beautiful and desirable to all onlookers, regardless of gender or sexual preference.[7]
Level 4[]
- Web Tremors: By concentrating on the spirit webs all around them, the Kumo can sense when they're being watched or stalked. This Gift, taught by one of Marawa's folk, alerts the Kumo to any spies in his immediate vicinity, including those in the Mirror Lands.[8]
Level 5[]
- Elder Wisdom: This revered Gift allows Kumo to commune directly with Marawa, Rati or Nareau. It's somewhat risky in that if the Lord or Lady is out of sorts, they might choose to punish the Kumo. If they're feeling more benevolent, they might impart some facts or advice appropriate to their idiom; for example, Marawa ma share a secret concerning how to destroy a certain foe. The Gift is taught by a servant of the malevolent trinity.[9]
Revised Edition and MET Gifts[]
Level 1[]
- Nimbleness: The Kumo may make extraordinary leaps and jumps. This Gift is taught by a flea-spirit.[10]
- Shadow Step: The Kumo seems to disappear and reappear in another location, while in reality she has not moved at all. A spirit minion of Nareau teaches this Gift.[11]
Level 2[]
- Spittle of Corruption: The Kumo may spit digestive fluids at an enemy in unharmed combat. A spirit of Marawa teaches this Gift.[12]
Level 3[]
- Snare of Beauty: The Kumo increases her attractiveness, making herself nearly irresistible to the object of her desire. A servant of Rati teaches this Gift.[13]
Level 4[]
- Web Tremors: The Kumo can know if anyone is watching or stalking her, either in the physical realm or in the Mirror Lands, by concentrating on the spirit webs around them. A servant of Marawa bestows this Gift.[14]
Level 5[]
- Elder Wisdom: This Gift enables the Kumo to commune directly with her family's patron. If Marawa, Nareau or Rati are in a ad mood, they may take out their displeasure at being summoned on the Kumo. Otherwise, they may offer advice or information useful to the user of the Gift. A servant of any of the three patrons teaches this Gift.[15]
Basic[]
- Fangs of Madness: This Gift merely allows another type of toxic attack to the werespider, though it is not a physical poison. By invoking this Gift, a Kumo endows her bite with the ability to inflict a mental sickness on her opponent. The character spends a Gnosis Trait and a Willpower Trait and makes a Mental Challenge against her target. Success means that the target gains an immediate derangement of the Kumo's choice along with taking physical damage from the bite. This derangement can be "healed" through Gifts of cleansing or healing. The damage from the bite itself must be healed separately. The effects last until healed.
- Replenishment of the Flesh: With this Gift, the Kumo can heal herself of damage by summoning a host of normal spiders in her area and absorbing them into her body, thus adding their mass to her own. No test is necessary, but the Kumo may take no other action while absorbing the summoned creatures. The Kumo heals one health level per Gnosis Trait spent.
- Spittle of Corrosion: This Gift allows a Kumo to spit her corrosive digestive fluids at an opponent in battle, causing aggravated damage to her target if successful. The Kumo spends a Blood Trait to activate his digestive fluids and make them properly acidic, then makes a Physical Challenge to spit at her opponent (retest with Brawl). A successful strike causes one level of aggravated damage. This Gift lasts for one combat, after which the Kumo must spend another Blood Trait to re-activate it.

- Spittle of Corruption: The Kumo may spit her digestive fluids at an opponent in combat. A spirit-minion of Marawa teaches this Gift.[18]
Level 3[]
- Snare of Beauty: The Kumo becomes inhumanly beautiful and desirable. A spirit-servant of Rati teaches this Gift.[19]
Level 4[]
