The Security System 5000 is the main antagonist of the SpongeBob SquarePants episode "Good Neighbors".
It is artificially intelligent security system Squidward originally buys to keep SpongeBob and Patrick away from him, but after malfunctioning it goes rogue on Squidward and takes control of his house, which the system uses to destroy the Bikini Bottom.
After seeing an add for a new security system called the Security System 5000, Squidward decides to buy it so that he can keep his neighbors SpongeBob and Patrick out of his house. After Squidward installs the security system into his house, SpongeBob and Patrick show up with an apology cake to make up for ruining Squidward's Sunday earlier, however, Squidward refuses to accept their apology and tries to use his new security system to get rid of them, only for it to say "No threat detected".
Squidward then punches the machine, which causes it to detect him as a threat. The machine then proceeded to zap Squidward, which startled SpongeBob and caused him to drop the apology cake on the machine. The machine malfunctions and detects a code red situation. Squidward's house grows arms and legs and kicks Squidward away. The house then proceeds to cause mayhem in Bikini Bottom.
Thankfully, SpongeBob was able to eventually deactivate the machine by pressing a button, although the house ends up crushing Squidward, and Because of Squidward's house destroying Bikini Bottom, Squidward, SpongeBob, and Patrick are held responsible and forced to do community service on every Sunday for the rest of their lives to pay for the destruction of the town.
