She was portrayed by Kathryn Winslow.
Biography[]
Early Life[]
Michelle and Kat Mackrel were born in Baltimore, Maryland, and grew up in a turbulent home due to their violent, alcoholic father. This poor home situation came to an end when their father was brutally attacked, for which Kat was sent to juvenile hall. In reality, it was Michelle who had committed this crime, and made Kat take the fall for it. After this Michelle dropped out of high school and began displaying many signs of antisocial behavior, including anger issues and inability to hold a job. She was forced to attend many anger management classes as a result. She eventually married a doctor named Joe Gorman, and moved to Hitchens, Virgina and seemed to settle into a normal, upper-class family life. However, she was still engaging in secret criminal behavior by dealing drugs on the side to bring in extra money, likely abusing her husband's position as a doctor to do so. She also took custody of her sister's daughter Justine after she nearly overdosed in 2014.
Michelle used several addiction hotlines in town that were run by her to keep tabs on her customers, which were numerous as Hitchens had a large addict population. However, when Trish Gaines, the wife of the Chief of Police called the hotline while her husband and kids were on a camping trip, Michelle decided to kill her when Trish told her about how her husband gets her pills from Dr. Gorman, and him getting in trouble would run the risk of her drug-dealing being exposed. She attacks Trish in her home and attempts to bury her alive before being interrupted by passerby and being forced to act like she found her that way. She then takes off after they call the police and Trish is taken to the hospital.
Full-Tilt Boogie[]
Michelle meets with Assistant Police Chief Jimmy Mackenzie under the pretense of asking about the presence of the BAU in Hitchens after attacking Trish. When he arrives however, she betrays him by shooting him in the chest. When she sees that he is wearing bulletproof vest, she smothers him to death with a cloth. When Kat arrives at Michelle's residence to see her daughter, Michelle comes out and tells her to leave and to hold off the BAU's questioning.
Meanwhile the BAU deduces that Michelle is the killer because she runs all of the addiction hotlines in town, as well as the only woman who out with Trish the night of the attack who has declined the BAU's attempts at questioning.
Michelle arrives at Kat's apartment with Justine. Realizing that Kat will eventually reveal the details of Trish's attack to the BAU and thus expose her, she convinces Kat to kill herself by overdosing on Oxycodone, saying she will go to prison and never see her daughter again if she doesn't. Michelle leaves and is promptly arrested by the BAU as she exits her car, threatening to ruin their lives. The BAU find Kat as well and the paramedics resuscitates her with Narcan in time to save her life. Michelle is then imprisoned for her crimes.
