The Anti-Unidentified Phenomena Control Organization,[2] also known as Union, is an organization specialized in the hunting of UMA in order to complete Quests set by the artifact Apocalypse. In addition, they also police any unselected Negators or UMAs that pose a threat to society.[3] The group revolves around the Negators that sit at the roundtable, who can be easily identified by their red necktie and emblem. Eleven Negators resided on the roundtable during the 100th loop. As of the 101st loop, there are fifteen.
Their main objective is to gain enough power such that they can kill the being that lies on the other side of the book.[4]
They are the main antagonists of the Intro Arc; however, they become allies following the Unchange Arc.
Overview[]
The Roundtable[]
The members of the Roundtable form a special team within the Union and is exclusively made up of Negators. In exchange for carrying out missions, these Negators are exempt from being pursued by the Union. According to Shen, those wishing to join the Roundtable must pass a few tests.[2] However, this rule does not appear to be absolute as seen during the admission of Chikara Shigeno.
The members of the Roundtable are ranked based on the number of their achievements, with one being the highest. The member ranked number one also serves as the leader of the Union.[5] Apocalypse may occasionally offer additional seats in the Roundtable as rewards for its issued Quests.[6] There are currently three seats on the Roundtable, all of which are occupied.
Uniform[]
The standard uniform of Union consists of a black suit and a red necktie. In addition to this, members of the Roundtable wear an emblem.
The suits are said to be bulletproof, stab-proof, and sturdy.
The necktie, developed by Nico, contains a language translator[7] and grants access to any number of public services and organizations.
For members of the Roundtable, the emblem is necessary for you to participate in Quests.[8] It also allows for wireless voice communication between other members of the Roundtable, and even other members of Union.[9]
Roundtable[]
100th Loop[]
There were formerly ten members and eleven seats on the Roundtable before the transition to the 101st Loop. It was briefly stolen by Under and reclaimed after the Spring Arc.
