Space Ereshkigal (スペース・エレシュキガル, Supēsu Ereshukigaru?), Class Name Null Beast (無の獣?), is a Beast-class Servant summoned by Ritsuka Fujimaru in the Grand Orders of Fate/Grand Order.
Profile[]
Identity[]
- Main article: Ereshkigal
Self-encouragement propelling her forward, the Mistress of the Underworld thus makes her entrance into this summer festival. Yet, even in the guise of a swimsuit, her true nature remains unyielding. Her spear cages serve to imprison, subjugate and dominate the souls of the departed.
The day after a dreamlike summer in Dubai, a distortion in spacetime and a twist of fate transformed Ereshkigal into the vessel for a Beast of the Servant Universe.
She became the goddess Anki-Ereshkigal, embodying both heaven and earth. Awakened as a Beast, she embraced her role as an Evil of Humanity and entered the Archetype Inception.[1][3][4]
Despite this, she is not being wholly subsumed by Anki-Ereshkigal but rather the two simply shared the same intentions and willingly merged together without issue.[5]
Although initially believed to preside over the Logos of "Conservation" (『保存』の理, “Hozon” no Kotowari?)[4], it is later revealed that she embodies the Logos of Hoarding (死蔵?, Shizō).[6]
Appearance[]
Personality[]
Ereshkigal[]
Ereshkigal, oblivious to her impending Beast form, registers a perfect score on the bliss meter. As the Goddess of the Underworld, she strives to exude cool composure, but her delight at the words ‘swimsuit’ and ‘summer’ is impossible to conceal. Filled with compassion, she tackles adversity with determination.
While outwardly appearing as a cold, detached goddess, she is, in reality, a proponent of justice who deeply values the necessity of rules and importance of morality. Her speech is rational, polite, and earnest, reflecting her honour student nature. Beneath her cool demeanour lies a kind heart that shines through.
She approaches discussions of right and wrong with seriousness but hesitates to express her personal feelings or desires. The summer experience in a swimsuit has introduced a touch of frivolity to her character. Although she regrets her inability to maintain a completely composed persona, she has no regrets about her decision to visit Dubai.[1][3]
Anki-Ereshkigal[]
Assuming a distant, almost antagonistic demeanour, her clumsy (comedic) traits are markedly diminished. This transformation underscores her capacity for seriousness, or rather, reveals her as a formidable heroine from the outset. A fearsome Ereshkigal is unveiled.[1]
Space Ereshkigal[]
It remains unknown how Ereshkigal arrived at this conclusion. Nevertheless, one indisputable fact is that she wields Authority on par with Ashtart, the vengeful deity of the Origin Universe. Despite the turmoil caused by her transformation into a Beast, Ereshkigal has chosen to abandon her sweetness and adopt the persona of an evil goddess.
Her introverted tendencies, characterised by keeping her worries and desires to herself, remain unchanged. However, her Beast form has made her more proactive. Driven by her serious nature, she strives for perfection in her role as an 'absolute evil' for humanity. Her speech is noble and elegant, bordering on arrogance. She has abandoned her wholly subjective "~na no dawa" speech pattern.[1][3]
Relationships[]
First Ascension[]
- Ishtar
- "Don't let Ishtar see me! If she finds out about my current class, she'll definitely, undoubtedly ridicule me mercilessly! I refuse to let her have any more leverage over me!"[5]
- Kingprotea
- "With Kingprotea, a sea in the Underworld seems possible! But she’s so sweet, I’d feel guilty making her live there. …Huh? Alter would love it? She’d find tormenting the residents irresistible? Absolutely not! Abuse is forbidden in my Underworld!"[5]
- Beni-enma
- "The adult Beni-Enma… is remarkably serious, composed, decisive, and dependable. But why 8x2 hells dedicated to tormenting the dead? ...Ah! Could that be the essence of that grand athletic spectacle originating from Japan? It evokes memories of hell, doesn’t it!"[5]
- Nitocris Alter
- "Nitocris’ Alter form has quite the impact. As the Underworld's overseer, I find it a valuable learning experience. However, being wrapped solely in bandages might be a bit much…"[5]
- Tezcatlipoca
- "I received a pamphlet from the god Tezcatlipoca, but is the South American Underworld really that advanced?! Hot springs, saunas, games, and even shooters? But being dispatched to the battlefield after such ultimate relaxation... isn't that hell in its own way?!"[5]
- Passionlip
- "Passionlip is such a good girl. Watching her efforts makes me want to work hard too. She's insecure, shy, and tends to scare people away, but she doesn't run away from her feelings for others. She's truly like a flower blooming from the surface."[5]
Second Ascension[]
- Ishtar Ashtart
- "Wait, hold on! Ashtart is here!? What's she doing in this universe? And she… seems to have mellowed out? "She was sealed, travelled with us, endured hardships, fused, and became an ally of humanity?" I-I see... I don't quite understand, but I'll thank you regardless. After all, she's practically family."[5]
- Sodom's Beast/Draco
- "A Beast from Proper Human History, huh? She's got quite the crown. The horns that signify aberrance are both a symbol and pride for us Beasts. It seems she’s committed many evils as well. ...Huh? You're asking where my horns are?! Well, the crown-shaped horns on my head... Did you think they were just hair ornaments?"[5]
- Andromeda
- "Do you get along well with Andromeda? That whale of hers is wonderful, isn't it? Andromeda herself also gives off a kind of cosmic vibe. I'd be delighted if you could arrange a meeting for us sometime. Still, she's incredibly cheerful... I wonder if I can even keep up with her in conversation."[5]
- Mysterious Heroine X / Mysterious Heroine XX
- "Am I simply tired, I wonder... Yes, that must be it. I’m exhausted from my duties as a Beast. After all, it’s unbelievable that a holy sword wielder from the Galactic Police is here at the edge of the universe!"[5]
- Abigail Williams / Katsushika Hokusai / Yang Guifei / Jacques de Molay
- "So there are entities intervening from deep space... No, it's more like this is the extent of their interference given their constraints. I'm similar in that regard, so I won’t get in their way. Bad routes are part of exploration, after all. However, if they manifest here, I’ll confront them directly. I’ll plunge them into the darkened skies."[5]
- Wandjina
- "Huh? That Wandjina girl appears to be a Galactic Elemental. Born on Earth yet raised in the galaxy… How rare! A mechanism fostering planetary life... Despite her youthful appearance, she’s accomplished a monumental task. I would be honoured if she visited my sector."[5]
Third Ascension[]
- Space Ishtar
- "So that's Space Ishtar... Her level of completion is extraordinary. After being split into light and dark, to achieve mutual understanding and then combine into a new being... A truly archetypal heroine, it almost makes me jealous."[5]
- Archetype: Earth
- "The Brain of the Earth is here too, huh? We princesses should have a lot to talk about! ...Huh? What's with that look? I've got princess attributes too, you know? I'm refined, elegant, and great at hand-to-hand combat!"[5]
- Kukulkan
- "A South American deity modelled herself after a UFO to become a dangerously powerful solar goddess?! ...Hehe, what a funny joke, Master. The concept of a star incarnation is somewhat unsettling... Given my own inflated power, such an absurd... absurd... W-Wow! Are you for real?! Isn’t that... an invading cellular spaceship?! The sun! Stop it with the sun!"[5]
- Kiara Sessyoin (Alter Ego) / Kiara Sessyoin (MoonCancer)
- "With solely her own desires, a human manipulated the masses, corrupting civilizations and poisoning societies before ultimately devouring the planet and departing from it. This is the Star Eater. A manifestation of a rare Bad End for intelligent life. In its truest essence, that woman may be the only one fitting to be a MoonCancer."[5]
- Larva Tiamat
- "Listen, Master! Mother Tiamat praised me! She said my horns are as beautiful as the galaxy! I was so worried about them being smaller than the other Beasts, but balance is what matters! And individuality! I'm going to aim to be the most glamorous Beast among all the Evils of Humanity!"[5]
- Ciel
- Proper Human History, a Parallel World, and the Universe... Who on earth is she? She's clearly no ordinary person... But if she's from the Universe, then we must be comrades. I wonder if she'd teach me how to use that Noble Phantasm?"

Skills[]
Class Skills[]
- Anti-Thaumaturgy (EX Rank): An exceptional skill that negates nearly all magecraft, even those considered nonstandard. Within Anki-Ereshkigal's gravitational field, magecraft formulas developed by civilization disintegrate like the unravelling of woven string. Only direct assaults of magical energy prove effective.[3]
- Spatial Conservation (A Rank): A variant of Territory Creation. A Primordial Goddess’ Authority to carve out, conserve, and manage space itself.[3]
- Divine Core of the Goddess (E- Rank): A skill signifying her birth as a complete goddess, preserving absolute spiritual and bodily integrity. Unlike Space Ishtar, Ereshkigal’s lack of analogous counterpart goddesses places this skill at the lowest rank.[3]
- Authority of the Beast (E- Rank): An Anti-Humanity skill. However, it has virtually no effect against Earth's humanity, whose physical limitations are linked to death. Against Servants, who operate using Saint Graphs, this skill is ranked A+. Servants erased by Anki-Ereshkigal are permanently confined to the Underworld, unable to repop within the Sapphire Galaxy.[3]
- Independent Manifestation (E- Rank): A skill enabling manifestation in reality. While all Beasts possess this skill, Anki-Ereshkigal, Mistress of the Underworld, shuns appearances in the physical world. Hence, this skill is ranked lowest. While it doesn't prevent instant death, stun resistance is granted.[3]
- Nega-Space (EX Rank): She possesses an absolute destructive force against the navigation, development and exploration of living beings in space. Driven by an unwavering desire to utterly obstruct and hinder, with motivation akin to the Big Bang, she gains infinite magical energy. Otherwise known as the Galactic Destruction Motivation Switch. Within the Servant Universe, no planetary nation capable of space travel exists within Anki-Ereshkigal's domain. In the Sapphire Galaxy, her region is known as the Dark Cosmic Sector. This skill has no effect in the World of Fate/Grand Order.[3]
- II (EX Rank): Infinity Indicator. Upon being summoned as a Servant, the skill 'Nega-Space' undergoes a transformation. Space Ereshkigal's performance enhances with each specific action undertaken by the summoner. Indeed, the original 'motivation to hinder human prosperity' has been replaced by a Master Affection System. This affection level resets after each battle, enabling repeated romantic interactions.[1]
Personal Skills[]
- Goddess Sugar (A Rank): The gloomy underworld has been left behind in the abyss. "Don't worry, a summer resort has always been a dream of mine! Even as Mistress of the Underworld, I believe I can bring happiness and exhilaration to everyone! ...Hopefully!" Ereshkigal has poured unprecedented passion into her inaugural summer resort. She empowers the entire party with potent attack boosts, NP charging, and death resistance, yet a peculiar side effect afflicts them with poison. Too much sugar, Eresh, is detrimental.[1]
- Beast Driver (B Rank): One who reaps life alongside a Beast. Or perhaps, one who hunts them. The dark dress signifying the ‘death of space’ is evidence of being an Evil of Humanity…or so she claims. An incredibly powerful solo combat buff.[3]
- Missing Star Ring (EX Rank): A great crown that shouldn’t exist. One that should never have been bestowed upon Ereshkigal now adorns her head as a Beast's horn. A Universe edition of the rare Goddess Metamorphosis skill possessed by Divine Spirit Servants.[3]
Noble Phantasm[]
Space Ereshkigal's Noble Phantasms are Edin Shugurra Collapsar, Nammu Abzu Gugalanna and Uru Na-nam Ninkigal.
