When the Kali come to attack Bichu, Ajay comes out of his house to retrieve his daughter and her dog, Vihan. Asha asks him to let Ritsuka's party into their home, but Ajay refuses to let strangers into his home. Upon seeing Ritsuka's party have slain the Kali and holy beasts, Ajay realizes the group are completely ignorant of the laws set by "God". Not wanting any part of it, he tells them to leave town as soon as possible.[1]
Ajay's house is destroyed, along with most of Bichu, when the Kali Yuga comes. Fortunately, his family is allowed inside Asha's aunt and uncle's house.[2]
The day after Ritsuka’s party brings Dewar’s survivors to Bichu, Ajay warns Ritsuka’s party that they’ll regret their decision on his way to his job as a lumberjack. His concerns are well-founded when Bichu’s citizens and Dewar’s survivors argue about the latter slaying holy beasts. However, when the Kali start attacking the town, Ajay kills one with his axe to protect his daughter. He blames Ritsuka’s party for his act, claiming his body moved its own after he was shown the Kali could be fought against. With Asha accompanying him, he joins the group and the survivors in driving off the Kali. When William Tell starts sniping the Kali, Ajay suspects “God“ will not protect anyone hit by mistake. Later, Lakshmibai asks him to horse carriage; Ajay agrees after Ritsuka offers the jewels in the Shadow Border as payment. After Ritsuka’s party return from driving William off, Ajay asks Lakshmibai to ask him and the others how to fight.[3]
Ajay tries to escape and hide with Asha when the Kali Yuga comes again after helping to fend off the Kali. But Asha notices the mayor, Prakash, whose leg is stuck in rubble, about to be killed by a Kali. Ajay frees the mayor but his leg is injured. Asha supports him as they search for a place to hide. Ajay realizes how his daughter has grown and decides they should celebrate when she turns 4000 days old tomorrow. Asha is surprised that he remembered. She then takes her father to a healer, where he fell asleep afterwards.[4] Unfortunately, Ajay is erased by God Arjuna's Mahāpralaya because his leg injury made him unnecessary.[5]
