During the High Republic Era, a battle was fought^[3] in the Bright Jewel system^[5] near Ord Mantell between a Galactic Republic-Jedi Order starfighter force and a group of Nihil pirates. The Nihil force had been sent out by Eye of the Nihil Marchion Ro as a diversion, as part of his plans to lure the Jedi into a trap in the system. As a result, the force was easily defeated, which raised Jedi Grand Master Yoda's suspicions.^[3]
