"…reports are coming in concerning another major victory against the Nihil. Perhaps you can bring us up to speed, Council Member Gios?"
"Happy to, Marshall Kriss. Following the attack on Valo, the Unified Republic Task Force has tackled Nihil marauders on Aris, Port Haven, and Golrath. They're running scared."
Marshal Avar Kriss and Stellan Gios[1]

A battle was fought on[1] the Outer Rim[3] astronomical object Golrath[1] in 231 BBY, as part of[2] the Galactic Republic and Jedi Order's[1] Operation Counterstrike[2] against the Nihil pirates in response to their attack on the Republic Fair on[1] the Outer Rim planet[4] Valo. The event resulted in a major victory for the Jedi and Republic's Unified Republic Task Force.[1] That same year,[5] the task force's victory at Golrath—as well as victories on the celestial bodies Aris and Port Haven—was reported by Jedi High Council member Stellan Gios to the Jedi stationed aboard the space station Starlight Beacon.[1]

Behind the scenes[]

The battle on Golrath was first mentioned, in flashbacks, in the ninth issue of the 2021 comic series Star Wars: The High Republic, released as part of[1] the Star Wars: The High Republic multimedia project's Phase I.[6] The issue was written by Cavan Scott and published by Marvel Comics on September 1, 2021.[7]
