World Premiere was a limited time-area that appeared in Sonic Speed Simulator. It is a movie theater which plays the first episode of Sonic Prime, "Shattered".

The area was added during the Sonic Prime Premiere Event, and removed following its conclusion. As such, it is currently inaccessible.

Description[]

World Premiere consists of a simple movie theater located in what appears to be Green Hill. The main spectacle of the area is the large flat screen with blue curtains and the Netflix logo above it. At the center of the map lies the Paradox Prism which has a blue carpet leading up to it. The carpet itself forms a pathway to the back of the area where the player enters. Several large gold Rings also arc over the path. Around the edges of the area are large rock formations which can be scaled with using the nearby Bouncers. At the back of the area is a portal back to Green Hill, a portal to New Yoke Tag Arena, and a a display of UGCs with a billboard detailing how to unlock them. Scattered around the map are towels, tables, and tents, some of which have small balloons floating next to them. Several of the towels nearer to the screen have figures of Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Amy, Rouge, Big, and Froggy laying on top of them. These figures cannot be interacted with, and can be passed through freely by the player.

Gameplay[]

The main focus of World Premiere is the first episode of the Sonic Prime Netflix series, "Shattered", which plays on the big screen every 45 minutes. With the episode itself being roughly 40 minutes, the player has 4 minutes and 54 seconds between the end of one airing and the start of a new one. To get a better look at the whole screen, the player can move up close to it, which will cause the camera to automatically focus on it. Moving away will return the camera to its original position. By watching the full episode, the player can earn the "Nine's Mechanical Arms" UGC item.

When certain parts of the episode play on the screen, something will happen in the area accordingly. These include the palm trees being blown backwards, the area shaking, the lighting turning darker, the Paradox Prism glowing, Tails flying by in the Tornado, warning lights blaring, and Burrobots and Buzz Bombers appearing. The Badniks can be destroyed by the player, but will automatically disappear regardless once the show's intro finishes. Rings will also drop from the sky at specific moments of the episode. These can be collected by the players in the area.
