The Green Trail is an object that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog series. It is a trail used to modify the playable character's appearance and boost their rewards.

Description[]

When equipped, the Green Trail takes the appearance of a textured green and smooth streak with faint sparkles that the playable character leaves behind them while they move around or surrounds them like an aura when they stand still. This trail stretches out from behind the playable character until it eventually fades away.

Overview[]

In Sonic Speed Simulator, the Green Trail is a collectible trail of the "Common" rarity. It can be unlocked at the cyan vending machine in Green Hill. When purchasing from this vending machine, the player has a 30% chance of getting a Green Trail.

In gameplay, the Green Trail lets the playable character produce this trail's textured streak behind them as they move around. In addition, when equipped, the Green Trail will grant additional Experience Points whenever the playable character obtains a Chaos Orb and additional Rings whenever they pick up a single Ring. The player can as well level up a Green Trail for a cost of Rings and/or Red Star Rings at the Upgrade Machine, with level 25 being the maximum level. Leveling up a Green Trail will improve its reward-granting attributes. Additionally, the player can evolve a Green Trail by collecting five Green Trails, leveling all of them up to maximum, and bringing them to the Fusion Machine. Evolving a Green Trail will combine the Green Trails into a single evolved trail at level 1, with boosted base stats compared to the un-evolved version.
