The Rocket Boost, also known as LEGO® Rocket Boost, is an Item Box power-up that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog series. It is a Boost Item used primarily to increase the user's speed.

Description[]

The Rocket Boost's icon takes the form of the Eggmobile with large flames coming from its exhausts. In gameplay, this power-up becomes a yellow-orange aura in front of the Eggmobile, whose engine is kicked into overdrive as the flames from its exhausts increase in size.

Overview[]

In gameplay, the Rocket Boost can only be obtained at random from Item Boxes by Dr. Eggman and LEGO® Dr. Eggman.

Once obtained, the player can utilize the Rocket Boost by pressing its icon on the bottom of the HUD. When used, the Rocket Boost will increase the speed of the user for a short amount of time. The duration of the Rocket Boost is shown by the decreasing gauge on top of this power-up's icon on the bottom of the HUD whenever the Rocket Boost is in effect. However, the Rocket Boost will be disabled if the user collides with an obstacle while using it.
