The Psy-Chlone is an Item Box power-up that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog series. It is a Projectile Item used primarily to attack rivals.
Description[]
The Psy-Chlone's icon takes on the appearance of Chrono Silver's head surrounded in a holographic cyan aura. In gameplay, the user raises aloft a Holo-Tech sword and a replica of the player is spawned in the lane next to the player. The clone will become holographic and transparent when traveling through obstacles and flash white several times after a set time before disappearing altogether. When Clones are summoned they appear from a circle on the ground that creates a pillar of blue holographic light.
In gameplay, the Psy-Chlone can only be obtained at random from Item Boxes by Chrono Silver.
Once obtained, the player can utilize the Psy-Chlone by pressing its icon on the bottom of the HUD. When used, the user will clone and make an illusion which lands down the randomly lane. The illusions will lead alongside the user until it wears off within certain times. Rival characters touch the illusions that will take damage that loses Rings, stop moving for a moment, and lose an existing random item. To avoid the Psy-Chlone's clones, the player must either step out of its lane or jump over it, but this is impossible for anyone who tries to jump over it.
The Psy-Chlone can also be upgraded by leveling the user up to level 6 and 12 respectively. For each level, the number of clones is increased.

Psy-Chlone is a pun on the words clone, cyclone, psychic, Psycho- (a prefix for anything pertaining to the mind) and Psi, an abbreviation of psychic.
During the 4.23.0 update, an issue occurred where the Psy-Chlone spawns clones in the same lane as the user. This was fixed in the 4.24.0 update.
Psy-Chlone is one of the very few non-Boost items that Steal cannot rob from an opponent.
